I’m still using my iPad to edit and do all of these since my laptop is still broken (THANKS LENOVO WARRANTY /not/) But thank you so much for all the support recently???? It’s been crazy and I’m very thankful , and thank you for putting up with me and my horrible schedule :D Also I have a question, is the music to loud ? I’m unsure if it’s annoying or if I’m overthinking it
@@ManFroggyes of course , it’s this brush of mine (sketching/painting) : ko-fi.com/s/132a9333d5 the second sol.2 brush is this brush but made bigger in the settings And the third is a friends brush she hasn’t uploaded 💔 but I’m going to see if she will be willing to upload it somewhere / it’s a hard brush that is square shaped, so nothing to fancy
The music was great. It really gave the video a nice chill vibe. I personally didn’t think it was too loud at all (P.S. I love your videos and your art style so much!! 💜)
*A tip to check your values in grayscale:* Instead of just desaturating the piece using the color adjust tool, make a new layer and fill it with white. Then set the layer mode to "Color". It shows the real values this way, because if you're just desaturating it, the piece loses it's contrast! edit: I realized that this only applies to some art software that doesn't give accurate values when a drawing is desaturated...but it's still good to check just in case XD
@@bluebiscuits ok I just double checked on the grayscale-d version of the pieces you showed in the video and I realized the values were actually pretty accurate- I guess some art programs have accurate values, cuz my art program makes my pieces' values wack if I desaturate them 😅
LOL the Miguel moment is so real. On a real note though your videos have been so helpful! I'm so glad to see this video as I happen to take a week to do studies and try to improve my weaknesses!
One thing I like about your videos is that you don't just show us the speedpaint, you explain why you did it, how you did it and how we can get to that skill level too. Thank you ❤
As someone who's just beginning art your videos help me out so much!! tysm its so easy for us to understand 🙏🙏 (I also really love your art, its amazing)
When I draw I’m like yes it looks good, then I look at Bloos art and think to myself that I suck. I know you shouldn’t compare yourself to others but you still do it unconsciously, I love your art and artstyle Edit: I really admire you❤️❤️
We all compare even though we know we arnt suppose to, I do it a lot more then I’d like to admit. So don’t be to hard on yourself❤️( both in your art work and how you talk to yourself, you’re doing great I’m sure ). Just know that you’ll grow with the work you put into it and you can reach which ever goals you set . Also thank you so much 🤍
This was INCREDIBLY helpful. It’s like you knew I searched for this because I was looking at other artist’s ways of coloring and being mad I didn’t understand how to do it. I’ll definitely study the way other artists do stuff and try to find what is so captivating about it.
It's 6 in the morning and I just woke up and I was so excited to see this video pop up on my feed. I love your art so much and I've always admired the way you colour your pieces. Colouring is one of the things I struggle with the most in art, so thank you so much for this 💕
ok... but let's all agree on something! we all use blue's voice as a way to relax!! i was doing a digital art sketch for the first time (my experience with digital art is very small if not nothing). idk how but i didn't stress at all, didn't get the nerves or anything. your voice just relaxes me so much. i ended up liking the sketch very much! please never stop making videos! i'm new to the channel but i already feel like i'm going to be addicted to it.
im telling you everytime i come across your videos i tend to,, erh start drawing without even thinking about it and then i realize how much your videos help me develop my art more!
this video helped me SO MUCH thank you!! as a fully colorblind artist, picking colours has been so difficult for me, but this video helped me so much. thank you!!
Oh my goodness, thank you SO SO MUCH! The tip on mapping out the lighting in gray and white was a life saver! I'm learning how to do humans after years of plain old four legged animals, and developing my digital skills at the same time, and I have no idea where to begin..... :') Thank you for helping me.
Woah this actually helped me alot!! I've been trying to understand how people color pick and use color theory for so long and this video really just made it click for me! Especially when you explained the hue-shifting, that's so cool ^^ Edit: You have such a cool artstyle :0 your color choices are incredible
I never commented in your videos, but i would like to leave one in this. This was actually very helpful and got right in the time I was thinking on getting on illustration again. I literally love your artstyle and your tutorials are great for people without a course like me! Thank you!!❤️❤️
Omg I'm so glad that you're posting this kind of video! Your painting style - and art style in general - is REALLY (I mean- REEEEEEEEALLY) GORGEOUS is fun to see you you do it and try to understand :DD
Thank you so much for posting this! I would rewatch your old version so many times and it's nice to have your updated, more explanatory video. This is so helpful!
I love watching these videos! They're incredibly educational, and the artwork is always amazing. I know a lot of people tend to doubt themselves and question whether they're making a difference, so I just wanted to let you know that your content is helping me to reinvent my art style and feel more confident about it. Keep up the amazing work!
I swear, seeing a new bluebuiscuits video is such a blessing to watch! Her voice is so soothing, the explanations are so clear and the art is just- ** insert chef's kiss** Great video, blue! Keep it up
Ooh *yoink* I’m just gonna take this video thank u very much.😂 (Man this vid helps a lot, I’ve been struggling with shading the most, so yeah this REALLY helps, thank u!) 😀✨
I’ve never been able to understand color theory and which colors compliment each other (not that i’ve really tried), but your videos really help with my art. I hope one day i’ll be able to make art like yours!! 🫶
Holy cow .. . . I've learned so much from your videos on color now that I look at everything thingking about the color choice- I'm so grateful for hte simple way you explain things too cuz dang my little braincell desperately needs it ToT
You have such a wonderful way of using color, I can’t wait to learn more and take these tips into my next art study. You broke down everything so nicely! I’ll definitely be recommending this video to my art friends, thank you blue!
something i love to do on pieces is to use a gradient to set a mood after ive finished most of the piece. basically copy the drawing and put any gradient u want on it, then set it to multiply overlay or soft light and play with the opacity. it helps harmonize the colours if you struggle. hope this helped
Wow thanks u so much, this is a lot of information and ive probably already forgotten 2/3 of the video but ill just watch it again and again. I already picked up a lot of useful information and things i just haven’t thought about previousy ❤
Blue im going to be honest, one, your voice is so relaxing that i could fall asleep to it Two, if being better than Leonardo da Vinci was illegal, your serving 10000000000000000000000000 death sentences
for the people who struggle with color theory: its basically the light and dark versions of colors, say light blue and dark blue. the light blue goes ontop of ddark because dark is the shading! it can go with any colors, if your a beginner then do not go anywhere near pastels as that is not a limited shading color pallette, hope this helps!
Thank you so much! It’s very helpful. I’ve always loved your art style and colors ❤ would love to see more tutorials about your painty brushwork and also may I ask which square brush do you use in this?
Hello! Im an aspiring digital artist and I happened to stumble upon ur channel and I have to say that I like ur art! Ur videos will definitely help my digital art skills! U have earned urself a sub, keep it up! :D
I always have a "post processing" at the end of my art process that's designed to tie colors in and enhance them, especially for people who's character colours are all over the place. because of that i actually keep the saturation about 80-90% of what it usually is so my colours don't wind up blown out.
Thank you, I’m gonna practice with your videos. I think my issue is that I have not yet been a student of color theory. I mean I’ve taken the classes in school just like everyone else, but… it didn’t stick! I thought I could get away with NOT studying it, but it’s becoming clear that’s not gonna happen 🙅♀️ Now I genuinely need and want to know so I can level up my art.
I was watching this while I was making a birthday card, so I kept looking down while you were talking. I looked up at the part where it said how you were getting sick while making this, so your voice would be different. I looked down, and an add came on. A totally different person started speaking and it caught me off guard LOL. I was like "wow she wasn't kidding" pfffft-
wow thanks for all the amzaing advice!! I will defeinitely use in my future endeavours and life this ia v a very valuable life lesson for my life because I love to colour and i love to watch men ikss
i know im not first, but FIRST! anyways i love your art and drawing skills, Im currently drawing something and i had to redraw it 3 times because i learnt alot while watching your videos. so thank you? :D💘💘
Awesome video, part one was amazing too! Unfortunately for me I'm dumb and can't wrap my mind around not using the literal colors still. Maybe one day I'll get it 😢
