I find that I eat the same thing generally week from week so my list of groceries always stay the same and when I go to the supermarket I know exactly which aisles to go to!! I'm in and out pretty quick
When I lived in an upstairs apartment I invested in a collapsible wagon. It is the best $65 I ever spent on amazon. You won't break your arms trying to carry all your groceries or packages upstairs. Especially if you have an elevator it'll be a God sent! They don't take up a ton of room.
Now that I am living alone and can't rely on campus dining halls, I have been doing weekly Farmer's Market runs on Sundays before a grocery store because I have found such great bread and vegetables from the vendors (I say venders but it's really just old men and their gardens). Highly recommend! It is a little bit pricier but some of the produce is just so delicious and you can't find them at grocery stores!
Great food haul and adventure to store. Very successful trip it looks like. So much stuff and I don’t recognize 95% of brands but I don’t need too. Looks very healthy. Thanks for the adventure. I have not been in a grocery store shopping since February cause I do the groceries deliver apps. Thanks for the adventure video I feel much better now and how do you like your new place. I look forward when videos go up and understand you will posting less videos since your starting your nursing school classes. Good luck and maybe a inside video on what area of nursing you want to go into. I’ll watch your videos when you can get them up on RU-vid since you be much more busy now with focusing on nursing school. I will be sending lots of hopes and wishes for happiness and positive thoughts for you as your reaching toward your goals and dreams.
I can only wish I was as organized as you . I would love to watch you fix your meals so I could copy them . I just wonder what I'm going to eat every nite and wind up not eating healthy. I love all your videos ! I have watched you since you started on this journey with nursing and moving and your cooking . very exciting !
i find for grocery shopping it's really useful to buy 1-2 foldable crates/containers (i don't know what their exact name in english is), and just to keep those in the back of your car/in your house! they don't take up much space they fit in grocery carts so you can just fill them up in the cart, walk to your car and load them right in! they don't break as easily as paper bags and you won't have to keep buying new bags!
For the fridge see if stainless steel cleanser helps(Weiman or Method have good ones). Use a soft cloth and wipe with the grain, not against it. Also get yourself a foldable grocery utility cart to help you when bringing groceries in. Has helped me a TON and many trips! fave thing from trader joes are the Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips in chili lime.
Kiara you should place the magnets on the sides of the fridge, cause the front or the stainless steal door is very easily stained/ruined... also don’t worry a simple stainless steal cleaner will take the spot off
Good haul for the amount of money it all was. I recently have become gluten free foods. I have fibromyalgia and hurt less now that I am not eating wheat. My daughter is 15 and been trying my gluten free pretzels, noodles and bread. She said she can't even taste the difference. In fact today I was going make separate noodles for her and she was like that silly mom I will just eat the gluten free ones. We don't have Trader Joe's or whole foods near us. I been buying whole foods off of Amzon it comes the nest day. Can't wait to see the dishes you cook. My daughter loves sushi she would eat that with you.
It would be so cool to see a video of how you meal prep all of that food and like show what you eat in a week! I’m moving into an apartment next year and I want to eat healthy on a budget so that would be really cool to see!!
My favorite things at tj’s are 1. Cookie butter (eat with apples!) 2. Caramelized onion dip 3. Pappardelle pasta 4. BBQ pork buns 5. Brookie (it’s a desert thing that is half cookie and half brownie, layered) love your videos Kiara❤️
Okay wow everything sounds amazing...I need to get on this cookie butter thing because I love dipping my apples in things 😍 and the caramelized onion dip.....dang I'm hungry now 😂
you should get a small foldable wagon (walmart, target, any major sports store like academy or dick's sporting) to keep in your car for when you need to bring in groceries! It's so helpful for getting stuff to your apartment from the garage!
Is it a little sad that I check RU-vid several times a week for a new video? 😂 Honestly always cheers me up watching these, everything is so depressing in England right now. These videos are one of the few things that lighten my mood ❤️ Would definitely love to see some cooking videos!
Try the app Saffron, you can add all your favourite recipes to the app (via the URL) and you can easily create a shopping list for each week by just adding the ingredients to a virtual basket.. it’s a game changer. It groups the same ingredients together from different recipes so you know exactly how much to buy
Love that I found your videos this summer and I love your new apartment!! Glad to hear I’m not the only one who’s been writing my grocery list in the order of TJs layout and who puts peas in my Mac n cheese! 🙌🏼 favorite new TJs item is chicken soup dumplings
Aww I am so glad you found them too! Thanks so much for watching...I cannot wait to try those chicken soup dumplings and the Mac n cheese with peas is a true GAME CHANGER.
@@KiaraMadisen omg! I cant believe you saw my comment! Im having an amazing day now that you have seen my comment! I hope your having a fantastic day too!!! ❤❤❤
Great video you’re absolutely fabulous. What stores do you usually shop at? Do you ever stock up on water? Can you possibly do more in store videos? It would be awesome if you could show how you do your full shopping trip
In south america (specially here in Argentina and our uruguayan neighbours) we have an infusión called mate which is actually made with yerba mate. You should try it, for us it's a company and I have it alwayd by my side when i'm studying, working or just out and about
We don't have Trader Joe's in Europe, but a new discovery for me is something called "Seitan" - you should try it! It's like vegan meat :) I do eat meat, but I have never been the biggest fan of it, so I love trying new things :) Loved the video!
Live in Manitoba so never even been to a Trader Joes before though it looks good. From videos I've seen it looks especially during the holidays they have a bunch of cool snacks and stuff so would love to be able to try someday.
GOOD MORNING I start grad school today and I am HERE instead hahaha love you (plus your videos always make me feel inspired + motivated) Also Kiaraaaaa as an Oregonian, where are your reusable bags? ;)
Omg happy first day! And sadly none of my stores are accepting reusable bags right now due to COVID, but don't worry I've been reusing my paper bags ;)
"I needed to just get some bread, so we got the bread" don't know why, but this cracked me up 😂 Would love a 'make dinner with me' or mealprep sesh or just something else foodrelated sometime :) hope you are doing well and feeling good in your new beautifull home! ❤️
It's super interesting to me to see the differences between the US and where I'm from in terms of how much you can buy for a certain amount of money. Paying over $150 for the items you got seems like a lot in comparison to what you can buy for that amount here in the Netherlands.
100% recommend the Creamy Toscano Cheese Soaked in Syrah, it's my favorite for charcuterie boards! I also love that carmelized onion one, TJs cheese really slaps 😋
My favorite things from Trader Joes: 1. Kungpao Chicken (I grew up in China and that shit is so mf authentic I can't even explain how much I love it) 2. Cookie butter cookies 3. Matcha ice cream pints (it's new!) 4. Caramel sauce (Great to put in coffee) 5. Thai yellow curry sauce 6. Pork gyozas I'm now officially hungry and it's 1 am... hope you try these!!
I LOVE TRADER JOE'S. My boyfriend had this idea that it was super expensive (we don't go there because it's like 30 min away or more) but this week we went and he was SHOCKED haha. Especially because it was only 120dlls for breakfast, lunch, dinner for two and we bought tons of pumpkin spice and fally flavors stuff. We will move soon and now we will be only 15 min away. LET THE GAMES BEGIN.
I love the everything but the bagel seasoning from Trader Joe's ! so good on avocado toast!! I would love to see more cooking videos! I am a college student as well and kind of getting bored of what Im eating.
We don’t have Trader Joe’s in Canada (although there is a Pirate Joe’s 😂 where they sell Trader Joe stuff) but I try to focus on getting fresh produce in season! Right now its pears and they are delicious 😋 (unfortunately winter is soooo long so its a struggle with produce then)
If your building has an elevator..You should get a mini foldable wagon/cart for your car it is so useful for bringing in groceries or large bulk trips to limit the trips you make from your car !!
That would be so helpful! Hopefully I won't have to do this crazy of a stock up again bc my wallet hurts...once I get into the routine of shopping weekly then they can be quick loads and I can get my exercise by sprinting up to my apartment with them 😂
I went to Trader Joe's for the first time last week and it felt like Christmas morning haha! My favorite thing that I've tried so far was either the vegan strawberry ice cream or the maple leaf cookies. I also love the chili lime chicken burgers :)
Omg chili lime chicken burgers sound so good wow 😍 I need to try that ice cream & I love those cookies too... they remind me of my grandma who was Canadian 🥰
