I love how organized you are. I'm not organized really at all, I'm the go with the flow type of gal. But I'm getting better at being more organized and planning ahead a bit more considering I have 8 children and the littles are becoming school aged each year, so the more kids I add to homeschool the more hectic it becomes if I don't plan. So your video definitely helped give me ideas of how I can plan better. 👌🏽
Thank you so much for sharing your planning with us❤. You are so well organized. Looking forward to part 2. Also would love to see a video of how you plan and put together interactive notebooks.
Thank you for sharing!!! I’ve looked at that homeschool planner on amazon but without seeing it on the inside was very hesitant about getting it. I’m COMPLETELY PRO-Planner lol. I’m finding myself super envious of how relaxed your plans are (not constant running around… which somehow we are going to be on the run A LOT this year! Thankfully it’s just my 9 year old but… 😳 He’s in 2 leagues of hockey, a goalie in 1 of those leagues (I’m totally counting that as Physical education 🤪 & whether we do Judo or not is really up in the air as it’s thankfully a free class & can jump back in as we can), Wild+Free group outings/field trips… mostly hikes & picnic lunches & friends we’ve made the past few years, science experiments with friends (b/c she actually likes doing science experiments ~ I like them, I just hate dealing with it lol), & tutoring once a week. We are literally on the go every single day of the week. Which my 9 year old loves, me? Not so much. Add in Duck squad for the hockey games… We are BUSY at this stage of our life. Add in church AND a homeschooling program for BSF for both the 9 year old & I & on the same day that I do volunteer work with our church. Yeah. It’s crazy. Guess this makes up for all that amazing downtime during 2020, huh? 😂😂😂 Thank you so much for showing us what you do!!! It gave me some great ideas to incorporate into ours!!!
If you ever venture up north, Gainesville has the Northeast GA History Center and they do monthly homeschool days. They're really well done with live actors in historical dress etc.
We are using Hoffman Academy online. It is completely free however we pay for the premium membership which gives us access to the music sheet printables. www.hoffmanacademy.com/
Thanks for sharing like always. Great ideas and love how you explain everything so calm. Hope y'all have a wonderful homeschool year. Our state does not require testing and we love it.
Great video! I just wanted to comment that it’s funny that homeschool kids MUST attend 180 days of school where you live yet public school kids attending 180 days of school is so rare they give out awards to the kids who achieve it! 😂. And they wonder why homeschooling is a super power….
Actually, they don't :) Georgia law says "The school year must include the equivalent of 180 days of at least 4-1/2 hours of instruction per day unless the child is physically unable to comply with this requirement." If my son would be unable to attend public school that day (vomiting, fever, etc.), I don't count that as a day we need to make up. They don't. 🤷
@@kasitouvell3895coming from public, why do I always forget this. Thank you for the reminder planning my schedule for our first year of traditional homeschool. Grade 6
Thank you so much !!! I watched a few RU-vid videos on how to remove the binding and then I punched the holes with my binding machine. I kind of wish I would of just sent it to Staples lol 😜
Always love your videos!! Where did you get your cover page for brielles planner? My daughter really likes it but it wasn’t on the link. Thanks!! Also what does she use for Spanish?
Thank you so much!!! I forgot to mention that the cover page was a picture she colored from one of her detailed coloring books she loved. So I laminated it and added it to her planner. For Spanish we are using Rosetta Stone online.😍
This is just what I needed thank you. This is my 1st yr homeschooling my 8th grade. I found your channel when I decided to homeschool in Georgia 😊. How did you get free tickets to the zoo? I've been wanting to go there
Aww !!! I hope you guys have an awesome first year of homeschool. For the free zoo tickets, go to any Pines Library and they will give them to you at the front desk after you watch a 20 min video about the history of the Atlanta Zoo. 😍
This was really helpful, thank you so much! We're starting our first official homeschool year with kindergarten next week, and I've been bingeing all your videos lately!
This video was amazing! I’m starting to homeschool my 3 year old and 5 year old this year and your videos are an answered prayer!! Thank you so much! Subscribed!
Fun, practical, AND inspirational. Thanks for sharing your process, as well as what is reasonable (and enjoyable) for your kids and yourself as teacher at that level.
I'm in SC. It's my 1st year of homeschooling and I'm teaching Kindergarten. I'm excited but planning and execution is not my strong suit. Everyone that I know that homeschools uses an online program which, for a 5 year old, is a huge no for me. Your videos are helping me a ton already
Hi, Miss Brittany! Thanks so much for the ideas and inspiration. You have some great ideas that I’m going to implement in our own homeschool. Love it! You mentioned that your daughter takes online piano-do you have a vlog on that? I’m wondering how it works and whether it would work for my kiddos. I would be definitely interested in a video if you haven’t done one already. Thanks!❤
This is what ive been looking for. I'm planning on home schooling my child this year. I've searched and come dry in videos. This was kind of a load off my back. Thank you
Thank you!!! I just started homeschooling my 5th & 8th graders, both boys!! I'm in GA as well so thank you for the links. I will definitely adopt a lot of your planning ideas.
This video was so helpful for me! I'm a brand new homeschool mom in GA currently planning our Kindergarten year for my oldest. I'm so glad I came across your channel! 😊
Same as you, in Georgia with a pre-Ker. I just learned here about the free zoo tickets, and figured I’d share with you that I also just recently learned that preschoolers can also get a free season pass to Dollywood! Never been personally, but the free tickets have me wanting to plan a trip.
I'm so late to this video but I LOVE your necklaces! I also liked this video. I'm always curious to see how other homeschool moms plan out their years. Thank you!
I didn’t know you are in Georgia too! We loved the Atlanta children’s museum. The zoo was so nice too. We also enjoyed the aquarium and Fernbank. We are in a homeschool field trip group so we get to go to a lot of neat places each year. We’ve enjoyed so many of them. One of our all time favorites was a train museum in Duluth. It’s called southeastern railway museum. I was worried my littles would be bored but they were not. Everyone, even my husband, loved it. ❤
16:26 love your schedule ideas, thank you for them. I noticed you incorporated ‘Study Hall’, I was wondering what you do during that time? I feel this could potentially be useful for my older kids and am always looking for new ideas. Thanks again! ❤
How do you use a 4 day schedule? I'd like to do a 4 day school schedule and the 5th day is a day out but I'm not sure how to schedule this? any recommendations?
Saved this for later! I have 2 kids with quite the age gap (gr. 4 and pre k) and life in general is interesting because of it and i assume school will be no different 😂
Enjoying this video SO MUCH! We don't start till September, so I'm just now starting my planning. Listening to this while I get the housework done so I'll be inspired and ready to go when I sit back down to work on plans some more
Thank you for sharing your schedule! I have a large age gap also between my two older kids and two younger ones. It’s always hard for me to figure out how to do it all.
I love your videos. You are so organized and I love your enthusiasm. ❤ I’m entering into year 2 of homeschooling just my 6th and 3rd grader. I sent my high schooler to private school. I’m definitely going to implement these things.
Thank you so much !!! I truly hope you all have a blessed and fruitful homeschooling year, even your high schoolers new adventure in private school!!! ❤️
