I answer all of your questions regarding how I planned my trip from what airline, hotel recommendations, cost, tips and tricks, transportation, things I would have done differently, etc. I also go over my favorite attractions and things I got to do. Hey Dev! I travel internationally quite a bit, and my biggest tip for jet lag is to make sure you have flights that land at decent times. I always try to arrive around 6-7pm and force myself to stay awake the entire flight, that way I can just eat dinner and go to bed. I feel like this resets my clock to sleeping correctly! I do the same on the way home. I’ve found it helps a lot! If I land in early morning there’s just no way I’ll be able to stay awake for the full day, and that’s when I end up sleeping at odd times and getting messed up! Love Japan, have been twice and am planning on going again soon (once covid-19 calms down!) Thanks for all the great content!

I went in April 2019 and it’s definitely a good time. It’s not too hot and there really wasn’t many people, just be aware it does start to cool down in the evening. I plan on going back again in October 2021

From my contact over there with their Japanese culture, it seems that it's not all about them. They are much more courteous and considerate of others - like - when the line moves - They move. When the train/tram stops and they're near a door, they know to get out of the way to let others pass off or on. They themselves appreciate their way of life for the many - not just "me, me, me." Thanks for the series, Dev.

My daughter and I our planning a trip in spring or fall 2021. You gave great tips. We plan on 4 days at the parks and 5 days traveling around. We are going to Kyoto & Osaka. They have the most beautiful temples & shrines. Also, to Kashima where my daughter lived for year as a Rotary Exchange Student. We will visit her school and one of the oldest shrines is located next to school. She speaks & reads Japanese fluently so she will be my guide/translator.

Just found your channel through super enthusised. Loved the Toyko vids. The first time I went to Tokyo was alone and stayed off site due to the expense. Never again!!! Next time we stayed at the Sheraton on the Disney monorail loop which was a little cheaper than Disney. Excellent hotel. 2nd trip also purchased a rail pass and saw heaps more of Japan !! Thank you for your channel 😍

I bank chase also, typically it is cheaper (most countries) to take us currency then change it locally (not through atm which has 3% chase fee) outside of airport.

Sounds like a wonderful trip Dev! Oh my! Someday I would love to go there too. By the way, whenever I go to Florida, I always get that famous heat rash, but just on my lower legs...My son doesn't, but me? Every time! And heat gets to me too so I have to be careful and stay cool otherwise I'll be tumbling to the ground. Thanks for all the tips! Sounds like the perfect vacation!

Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea are definitely on my bucket list!! My kids are 3, 5, and 8 right now, so I'd love to wait until they are all a bit older and then make a big trip over to Japan and do some sight seeing in addition to the parks. This video is incredibly helpful! Oh and keep the videos coming! They are helping to keep me sane during this incredibly difficult time. Stay safe!

google translate is pretty helpful, super friendly over there, unlike Americans often times. I always make sure to help people at Disney who seem to be not from here or lost. I also heard people aren't rude, pushing or shoving and just overall nice. I cannot wait for my trip eventually, we were playing for October.

Loved watching your Tokyo Disneyland & Sea video's. We had planned to go this year to see our Exchange student daughter graduate High School and go to the parks. Unfortunately, with covid we had to cancel. Once everything opens back up that will be the first place we vacation at. Thank you so much for all the informative information. Your video brought back great memories. We’ve been to both Tokyo Disney Parks and enjoyed them both. We love Tokyo and have been there several times and explored many cities within Tokyo. We forward to the next time we can be there. It’s approx an 8 hour direct flight from Hawaii. Staying close to a train station is an absolute must!

We went to Disney Paris for a day during a two week Europe trip. Best piece of advice I have for traveling like that is pay for as much as you can in advance! It took me 1 1/2 years to save for the trip. I paid for everything hotels, tickets to museums, everything in advance. When we arrived we only had to pay for food and souvenirs. P.S. April is perfect weather in Paris!

Loved the blog. We went to Japan last August/September. It was extremely hot but we loved every second there. We only did one day at each park but loved it. We dont speak any Japanese and never had any trouble. We traveled to Osaka, Kyoto and over by Mount Fuji. We are thinking of going back this November.

I spent 700-800 USD in total when I went to Japan and that’s because I went to Disney twice and universal. I spent a lot on transportation. 7-11 for breakfast and lunch unless I went to Disney and universal. Food is super cheap in Japan. I would go to Japan in October. They celebrate Halloween way better than the states. Do the Mario karts 4-5 hour tour. I slept a few nights in a all male capsule hotel and spent 15-20 bucks a night. Met a lot of people staying at these hotels. I stayed 10 days in Japan. Get the JR pass tour. I love Osaka, it’s a different lifestyle. You will see people bow when they leave building and train when they’re with friends.

Ahh!! I love Japan!! I wish we has more time to stay. We had an 8hr lay over in Narita, disneyland was about an hour away. We werent even able to charge our phones. I wish we knew a little more information before we went. We thought we could wing visiting Disney. Lol. But your video definitely helps me for next time!

Awesome video Dev. The amount for your comfort and unlimited liquor (unlimited liquor) the cost of your flight was worth it. 😁 you definitely saved getting your hotel at that Best Western. The phone thing during the bus sounds kinda stupid. I would love too visit Japan and I’ll follow their laws and rules but some things are just 👎🏾.

I know :(. I had plans to go for my b-day so see Enchanted Tail. Long-haul Premium Economy is comparable to domestic First Class and def worth it for 15+ hrs. Some good award deals for later this year, might be work applying for a credit card or two, just FYI.

I have been wanting to go to Tokyo Disneyland and came across your videos! I have only been to another country, BUT it was with my church to El Salvador. I am new to how cash exchange works and trying to figure out how the transportation works in Japan. I am also in Orlando! When do you plan to go back? Notice these videos are like 4 years old. Hi there I love your channel! Just a few questions please as this will be our first time going to Asian Disneylands as I know they are quite different: 1. Can you please tell me what is the best disney in China to go to for uniqueness and more of the 'Chinese' feel Hong Kong or Shanghai (and basically what is the best place for the money) Before going to Tokyo :) 2. My mother and I me are both disabled (me more than her) do you know if you get any discount on the park ticket or the a card to say you need help on the rides? Hope to hear from you soon.

Hey Prince! It all looks so incredible, I just can't wait to go there! As a big Disney geek I've been waiting for around 10 years now and I really hope I'll soon get the chance to finally visit Japan's Disney resort. Here's one more question for you though. As a former CM, weren't you supposed to get a discount on the parks' entrance fee? I thought you'd mention it sooner or later in the video but since you never addressed that I gotta ask... why didn't you use that?

Thank you for watching. I’m not a Disney cast member anymore and haven’t been for a few years. But I do know cast members don’t get free access to the Tokyo resort because the park is owed by the Japanese government. Now I’m not sure about discounts.

I can take my family to Disney for 7 days, stay at a All Star Resort and get free food with the free Dining Plan for $2,300. Lol. Your plane ticket almost cost as much as my entire family's vacation LOL
