Damn dude... I saw this video like a month ago and it really helped me to get my shit together. Hehe. I finally actually sat down and figured out a practice scheme that has made me so much better in just a couple of weeks. Kiefer, thank you so much for the wisdom you're spreading.
Damn this is too relatable. I definitely fall into the addictive practicer-category. "You're always five minutes away from the next bar", I'll remember that. That's a good way to overcome the "I don't know this part"-anxiety.
I want to watch this video every day until I get settled in the process. I wish I could like it multiple times. I don't have nearly enough determined but generous musicians like you around me to be inspired to succeed.
This video inspired me to make a difference in my daily approach and I have begun using my time MORE efficiently whereas before this video was posted my time was a little more ambiguously spent fiddling yet progressing at a slow and comfortable rate
Glad to hear it! Just remember that everyone's different, so certain things I do might not work for you and vice versa - keep your mind open and see what works!
Bro, I just found out about you as I slowly begin my piano journey. Think I saw you first on an add for keyscape(??) and was like "yo who is this guy with the incredible feel?" The chords, harmonies, and sounds you were making were gorgeous. I also have ADHD and your advice is indispensable. I've checked out a couple of your videos so far, but this one is honestly the most important one for me and probably for most people. I hope they recognize how much of a gem this advice really is. I started writing down the plan this evening. Thank you my dude!
Wow! This is so inspiring. Thank you so much Kiefer for sharing all these gems. Can't believe how lucky we all are to get such great advice from a legend like you for free :)
Hey Kiefer, you are such an inspiring guy. What books do you read? Are you into Austin Kleon? Seth Godin? Are you into people like Ali Abdaal (note taking, to-do lists, long-term goals)? Have you been familiar with the UX community? It looks like you're coming right from that planet. This is crazy! I know you from your music (which is the biggest inspiration for the beats I make with my friend), but I only learn from your creative process right now.
dude, I had a listen to your tunes on spotify last year and have to say i was blown away. if only i knew you also have a youtube channel spitting out advice and stream on twitch, boi, id come way sooner than this
@@kiefdaddysupremelove the videos and would be super helpful to learn how you've mastered your pocket. One of my primary goals right now, so really hoping to hear you talk about this🤞🏻
sorry for the silly question but what did you mean by the third category (arranging a tune)? Like arranging for a Big Band or string section? Sorry I'm not a native speaker
What a transcription is? When you listen to a tune, or a part of a tune for example someone's solo in the tune, learn to play it by ear, and possibly also write it down.
