This is a method I use to practice scales without getting bored. No more mindless running up and down the scale.

Am I understand correctly, that first of all you just finding the correct notes by ear trying to play the solo itself and than writing it down and analyzing it?

That's correct! I transcribe the guitar solo excerpt first, which gives me the notes, then I analyze what I transcribed to see what scale it is

the guy who wrote the song you analyzed didnt do that, and hes also a millionaire. who are you that you can say its some super hard thing when its clearly not. elitist pseud

Actually, the person who wrote the song he analyzed did know that, and it is very important to know how each note interacts with each other in order to write a good guitar solo. Its not about learning deep theory, but understanding how and why a specific scale works.

This for guitarist who already know their fret board , and familiar with shapes at the end. They might not look like scales you played before? . Move the same notes to different positions, most likely you’ve played before. If you play everyday, or spend time learning keeping your chops, you should know this ‘basic intermediate’ to advanced stuff, you will know. Remember by today’s standards a guitarist like Slash is intermediate. Guns roses entire discography. Anyone soo pop ends enough time playing guitar effort into can play most anything ‘Slosh’ plays. Nothing like marcin patrzalek, or polyphia which requires more than just practice. TALENT This guy most likely blessed with talent. Today Talent is difference between playing classic rock and ichika. In the future ‘average guitarist’ will also adapt ichika. By that time it won’t be as impressive as it is now. Laughing!
