You got a great personality and channel. Everything was great, but it would be nice to see more of the actual work and washing too. Thanks again, New subscriber
I love the videos I have a question can I soft wash a roof with a foam cannon as well as driveway’s and houses keep getting mixed answers thanks all the best!!!
I’m more curious on where you purchased the hoodie you have on but the video is awesome I’m just getting started in my pressure washing business so this was helpful
What do you guess was your gals of SH and time on that one Mike? I did one similar to that today (not quite as bad) with 800 sqft concrete driveway and it took way too long and too much SH I believe at 8gals with post-treat. About 3.5 hrs with extra ness. work in some areas ie. leaves, deck railings, thick mud & a bad drainage issue at front door stoop/walkway… hoping it gets me some referrals tho.
It took about 10 gallons. Mainly because I didn’t want to be patient. I think it would have been much less in warmer weather. Took me just less than an hour.
I have a question, im in the uk and just started up myself and I have myself a 8gpm 3000psi i want to be able to soft wash but with low pressure to limit over spray, would i be better off with a 12v pump set up? As my 8gpm machine always want to use 8gpm and can only vary the psi/pressure by changing the size orifice hole on my nozzles as mine does not have a pressure adjuster only a relase valve that returns to the tank, thanks for any advice
Adding and unloader (pressure adjuster) is simple and cheap. 12 volting is probably the least efficient way to wash a home. The only thing less efficient would be a pump sprayer.
Are there ever times that you tape fans or do you just try to keep from spraying sh in that direction and have customer refrain from using fan for a certain amount of time?
Thank you. It’s way too much to answer in a comment. My channel is devoted to showing how I do it. Many hours poured into this info. I really appreciate you watching.
I cleaned the side of the trailer I rent with rags soaked in chlorox and dish soap. That was last year, and it is still clean. Just gave it a little touch up. I noticed the side that is in the shade had the green mold effect.
Wow, what a difference. Do you get the same results on wood siding? You say you pre and post treat plants so I assume SH is harmful to plants. What do you use for pre & post treating?
@@Critterc100adc1 Only if asked… and then I bring in a window cleaner or refer them to someone. There may be some spotting, it very minimal, generally speaking. Great question.
Hi i have a question for you. Do you do a walk around each house before you start spraying any chemicals on a home to make sure everything is safe for washing? Ty
Good content I love what you stand for. But what about the wheat poles! I’ve asked this on several channels. And I’ve done a handful of jobs that have vinyl siding and almost every single one of them houses haven’t been washing a while and they end up leaking very dirty streaks down the siding from the weep hole or even just under the lapping. What do you guys do to mitigate this? I’m new to this. But I’m already tired of looking back at a job that I’ve done and having to go wipe the weep hole drains
Thank you Cody. Great question. The solution is to mist the vinyl at a distance as a last rinse. And, it’s not out of ordinary to have to go back. If they call, I’ll tell them that I will glad return after a rainfall or two. Feel free to ask questions. Thank you again.
I have 4gpm and 4000 psi and use 10% sh....if I got an xjet (currently use pump sprayer). DO i use a propotioner in the nozzle to control the amount of SH....so that it isnt too strong? Seems like that is what I am reading/understanding
No, if you are using an X-Jet, you will be drawing from a bucket that you will be carrying around with you. Most control the perception by adding 50% water to 50% SH. Fill the bucket half way with SH and Half with water.
Does the solution kill plans below the house tho? I see some rinse the plants with some sort of bleach protector others dont. Not sure if i have to or not
Hey doing my first house wash, il be using 5 gallon buckets, how much bleach I need to put for vinyl. How many gallons of 10%? I know a place here that does fresh batches of 10% So. my question is how many gallons of the 10% do I need in a 5 gallon bucket when washing vinyl house??
Just wanted to clarify that you simply applied a SH dilution, and rinsed it off? No actually pressure washing? Can I do that with the “soap” option on a typical 3300 pressure washer?
I recently started my own pressure washing business and I’ve been pressure washing homes and not soft washing. From my under standing soft wash can be much more time efficient so in forth doing more homes at a lower cost but more clients. As I’ve experienced power washing a home took me 4hours how do you still get the same results with soft wash I’ve been looking into it a lots have been saying 3 parts water to one part bleach with some all purpose or soap? Pre wet house. Spray mixture let sit for 10 minutes ? And rinse ? I’m just looking to make sure I get the same results soft washing as pressure washing. Any tips or trips SUPER APPRECIATED just trying to compete with completion:) Thanks in advance Mike
You are definitely on the right track. My channel (and many more) give tricks of the trade in most every video. My greatest advice would be to watch a ton of videos, getting quality education straight from the videos themselves. It’s a draft that I’ve been working to perfect for 9 years. I wish you the very best.
Looking to start my own pressure wash/soft wash business. Already got the ball rolling but would love to speak with someone like you if you have any free time to help guide me a right direction. 🤞
What chemical do you use to quickly eat the mold n algae dirt stains off ? I had a brand I sprayed on and by the time I cranked the machine on it was all running melted down house under a min. I can't find anymore in commercial size.
I've recently acquired a pressure washer with a rating of 3400 PSI and a flow rate of 2.6 GPM. My intention is to start offering driveway cleaning services on a smaller scale, more as a side gig rather than a full-fledged business endeavor. I've also invested in a surface cleaner to enhance the efficiency of the cleaning process. I'm curious, do you think that the capabilities of my pressure washer (3400 PSI, 2.6 GPM) are suitable for this kind of work? I'm planning to begin with smaller projects and then potentially expand over time.
Awesome vid!!! I am looking for the best type of pressure washer to clean my 2 story home and drive way vs paying a company in my area. One that I can safely use to wash my cars too. What is the biggest bang for my buck as far a a brand? Psi/Gpm to look for? I’m not looking to start a business… Thanks!
Simpson pressure washer at Tractor Supply. As a pressure washing contractor, I highly advise paying a professional. But I also have an appreciation for DIY. Good luck! Thanks for watching!
Fresh “Rinse”. Not “Prince”. You were close. Vinyl siding covered in organic growth does not need a test spot. It all cleans the same. Test spots are reserved for painted surfaces. Thanks for watching!
This whole time I thought you were so fast cause Carlton was working like crazy off screen. Come to find out it's all done through an app.??? Wish I knew this sooner! Sign me up!
Most Vancouver people aren’t doing 6 houses a day lmao. Completely different markets and the houses are usually packed together, and they aren’t vinyl siding , so it takes a lot longer and more complex
When you mentioned dialing down the pressure to use a hotter mix, did you adjust the unloader or the revs? I tried pressing the phone on the house, but I guess it only works for you.🤣
You can do either one. When I use the 10gpm machine for downstreaming, I either turn the pressure down to 2500 or so, or rev down the engine. You have to buy my app for $599 to get the phone to wash the house for you. LOL
I have another question I am sure it’s dumb but I bought a predator 4400 psi what is a soft wash and is that power washer able to do that if yes how do??
@@noahstewart3694 I could answer that, but I promise… it would lead to more questions. Not sure that kind of time is available. My greatest suggestion is to find a pressure washing course online. For $300 or so, you’ll basically get a college education. Not a bad deal. You’ll get there… I promise.
@@TheFreshRinse Thanks! I had an estimate at the house yesterday and I have a lot of brown smoke residue on vinyl sided white house around my pellet stove pipe and was told they are unable to remove it with the pressure washer and he has to give me a separate price and it will require multiple steps as it turned to ‘rust’ I’m thinking hot water with bleach would remove it but it requires a ladder and he doesn’t do ladders
