This months masterclass comes from Bristol based producer, DJ and Club Glow co-founder Borai on May 16th from 8-10pm UK time.
He's behind the huge anthem 'Make Me' (along with Denham Audio) which has just been signed by Columbia and is currently on the Radio 1 'A1' playlist (the most played stuff) - he's spent years honing his craft as a highly adaptable producer working with labels like BRSTL, Apple Pips, Happy Skull as well as his own Higher Level and Club Glow imprints.
Borai will be presenting a special music production focussed Masterclass which will take a close look at the production techniques he uses to produce breakbeat rave bangers, early 90s tear out jungle and his house and techno too.
He has a well equipped hardware based studio with plenty of tasty gear and custom cabling too so we will be doing an extended studio tour (6 hardware samplers and counting) so this will be fun for all the gear heads (no not that kind) in the group.
We will also be telling the story of his smash hit 'Make Me' which was served with a cease and desist from the artist they sampled when it reached a million streams on spotify a few years back and then went viral on TikTok due to it being in a much shared clip from a DJs live stream. One major label bidding war later and Borai is seeing the track being used on Football Focus and being played repeatedly on prime time Radio 1. He's working on some major level remixes (my lips are sealed) so we will be getting a look at some of them in the session too.
