Olive oil is a chemical too. Everything around us is a chemical. Shampoo, conditioner and hair creams are good for your hair. They're designed specifically for that purpose.
Sooo i think I can safely say that our moms, not entirely their fault, simply didn't know how to care for our hair because EVERY black girl should have had hair like your beautiful daughter! Wow, and for sooooo long, that's been the accepted belief for black little girls. This was inspiring! Thank you! Edit: thanks for the likes ladies.
This is such a silly and uneducated statement. Do you think every other race has a magic 'secret' regimen where they rely on external concoctions and specific manipulation to grow hair? No, if you have to stand on your head and do cartwheels in order for you to keep hair on your head, it is the exception, not the rule.
love how our sisters are teaching their girls to love their crowns its amazing to see alot of black women taking care of natural hair in these recent years😍🥳💋❤❤💜
What she is doing works for them. I hate to see videos like this and people get on and comment about adding heat or cutting as a must. Growing up, we had hair that was well taken care of and long. Trimming never took place and our hair thrived with either cornrows for 2-3 weeks or air dry (with plaits) or a roller set for a week.
That makes so much sense because it says our hair grows half an inch a month that's an inch in two months yet say cut ends every 6 to 8 weeks basically all the hair you just grew you end up cutting right back off. Thanks for the info
Some of these comments are mind blowing. If mom didn’t know how to handle or take care of her baby’s hair, it wouldn’t be as long as it is now. Sheesh 🙄. Good job mom!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤❤
1. First item you need is water for your hair. 2. Oil 3. If your hair knotted, use your hands and take time to unravel the knot without breaking it. Use oil too. 4. Use shampóo and use a plastic bag to kéep moisture in. 5. When hair is dry, wet with water. 6. Moisturizer -water, shea butter, oil, moisturizer, cream. 7. Separate hair in sections when manipulating hair.
Her hair is beautiful. As black ppl we were told that water wasn't good for our hair, don't get your hair wet meanwhile it's what should have been said was pls wet your hair.
Absolutely....I do not agree with hair relaxers, weave of any type to include braids, and dye on little girls hair. The hair will grow with patience and simple products. This baby's hair is well taken care of. Keep up the good work mom!
2 little cuties !!😊 Love seeing such beautiful healthy hair on little black girls ❤ By the time she is a teenager she will have hair down to her knees!!! Wow ❤️
She's very blessed to have someone that knows how to take care of her hair like that. Im 55 and returned to natural for the last 3 years. Doing much better but looking forward to achieving those lengths. Thank you ❤ x
When I was 8, I could tuck my braids under my arm pits. Then I asked for a perm because I hated how long I had to sit getting washed and then next day after air dry to press and curl. I'm natural again now wish I never had permed. I am back to shoulder length after big chop and looking forward to this. Her hair is beautiful❤😊
Finally, a simple hair routine. We wear hijab we dont need a fancy hair style. And idk why black hair cant be simple. Why all the extra. Plenty ppl just comb and walk out fhe house and no one says anything. I love how you show life can be easy for us too.
Absolutely, mine is the same texture of her daughter and mine is now Butt length Praise GOD For Teaching me how to take Care of it. Just as this lady is doing. Knowledge is Power!!!
This is so true what she is saying. I have pulled so much of my hair out by not separating my hair because it's so thick and curly. A comb is dangerous for detangling my type of hair
How to retain and maintain the growth of afro type hair. Tools -products Techniques- correct method of handling. Time- years. Once we learn and understand these principles we should have no problem with retention. Remember hair is always growing. Its biology. As long as you're alive, your hair will grow.
Hi Ms. beautiful Queen, your video is amazing! I would like to also share, I believe the reason for ongoing hair dryness has a lot to do with certain other factors, but one key ingredient is the liquid and products that we apply to our scalp, for instance, the water we use can be “hard water” which in some cases creates more dryness for the hair/scalp. I agree, a water/liquid substance is very much needed + oil + a moisturizer which could enhance hair strands from dryness. As you mentioned, we have to be very careful how and what we are applying. (Even to regarding how to nourishes our ends) So, .. (to be correct), ..your process consists of: 1) Wash and Condition (with braided hair), once completed… 2) USE HANDS to separate braids gently by spraying with water, ( I would apply natural water/spring water + olive oil) 3) Place plastic bag over damp hair, (approximately within one hour) 4) Remove the bag to style in gentle sections with a moisturizer. (Use comb for parting hair only and not for combing) Thank you for your time and demonstrations!!😊
This little girls is so blessed to have a momi that is willing to give her the advantage of having long hair. She will have pride and confidence as little girl of color as she will it have to tackle the big “one” Our Hair ❤ (We all remember the “days”)sigh
Thank god you put a brush to her hair could of given her a nicer hairstyle but well done for taking pride in your childs hair i love to see 4c hair long like that i hope she keeps it up as she gets older
You did a great job! Your daughter and her hair is beautiful! It’s good to see natural hair this long and the person is not mixed with another race. I love true natural hair! I hope one day my daughter hair will be this long. Thanks for sharing! 🥰
Me and my sister had hair down our backs. I was waistlength in H.S. No perms, heat 2x a yr! My 2 daughters were waistlength at 5 and y I just did what my mom did and made my own oils!
WOW 🤩, what an awesome husband. He is so full of love for her. My heart melts. Everyone deserves to be happy in this chaotic world. My husband died 20 years ago, and I’ve been alone since. I pray the LORD will send me a good loving man like hers'🙏🏻🔥🤗🥰💞💞💞💞
Queen Jid, you are doing a great job taking care of your daughter's natural hair and teaching her to appreciate hair hair texture. Periodic trimmings of the the ends make the hair thrive and look great. I think her ends needs to be trimmed.
Love hair and hers is beautiful. The key for me isn't hard. Just got to know what you're doing when it comes to detangling. Nothing special to shampoo, condition and/or moisturize. Both growing hair for 5years and hair growth to mid thigh. Both kids taller than 5ft tall. African American parents.
Detangling my hair in different way help my hair grow so much, I locked my for few months and when it was time for me to unlock, I had to be very careful and use a different method,
That is a beautiful head of hair. As a white girl with curly, 3b, fine, easily breakable hair, I am always in awe of beautiful, natural African kinky curls. I’ve finally stopped washing my hair except once a week, and using leave in conditioner and oiling the ends.
😮 Her hair is so loooong. Lucky kid. Ive never seen afro hair thst long before except with my brother who had hair almost waist length but our mother hacked it for nursery.
If only someone had been that natural and dedicated to the care of my natural hair when I was her age. Just had harsh treatment and head and hair snatches with resentful ones doing it.
Great video. Your daughters hair is healthy & beautiful! I'm the same way when it's time to do my hair. I prep my nails and I never wear rings. I never understood why some people keep jewelry on their fingers while doing hair. ❤
Its super random for me to be here but this is why.. to shed love and light! Father Yah bless this little girl and the whole family in Jesus name, amen. 😇🙏
@@queenjidnatural8248bonjour les produits que votre fille présente à la fin de la vidéo n'est pas visible la caméra n'a pas bien filmé sur les huiles Les noms s'il vous plaît ? Beau cheveux
Her hair is beautiful!! Thank you for this helpful video! I am going to try it on my daughter. I do have one question. Her hair is shorter than this. About shoulder length and the shrinkage is a lot. Her twists do not look this lovely. What protective style would you suggest? I see everyone say twists for long hair, but for shorter hair what would work or what did you use when her hair was shorter? Like Bantu knot outs?❤

I am so jealous of this beautiful baby’s natural hair & her mom’s care for it. My mom didn’t have that care for me. She told me multiple times she always wanted all boys
Wow, what a cold thing to say to a daughter. I do find myself being jealous becuase although my mom did my hair every morning, it's unfortunate that she did not have the knowledge. I look back at my baby/girl pictures wishing my hair was long. It's long now, but just the fact that I could have had it even back then is what angers me.
