Ok so this was SO good! I listened to the whole thing!! And will probably again lol. I'm a small skincare company owner, I'm not at the stage to be doing such a thing yet but hearing you talk about this just opened so many doors of possibility I'm only starting to make sense of as things grow! Thank you for taking the time to make this!!
Just watched this and your previous pitch video, your insight is so incredibly helpful for me as a woman entrepreneur that is starting a business from scratch. Thank you so much for taking the time to share!!
Hi Grace, I just wanted to say thank you so much for this video. You might have thought it sounded boring but I found it so incredibly helpful and interesting. I'm not at the Series A level yet but even so, there were so many useful aspects of the video that can be applied to other areas of business / other applications. Really grateful to you for sharing your time and wisdom, and definitely need to go and watch your other ones now!
Great video! A lot of business videos can be quite vague but this video was specific, super informative and genuinely helpful. Not at one moment was it boring! Thank you so much for this video!
This is amazing and really really not boring ;) so helpful for any founder at the beginning of their journey to see what‘s coming and what to prepare for- thank you for this!!
Thank you so much for sharing this!! As well as, for your efforts to change the business world/funding for women! You’re truly a pioneer in the space! 🙌🤩
Amazing video, Grace. As a brand strategist, it's amazing to see how the mission/North Star , USP, positioning and values play such a huge role in the pitch deck. Loved this video style and everything you shared.
I am not a founder, but I am in sales and this was a fantastic summary of how to sell (in a slightly different way). I love the "tongue in cheek" way of doing so - as you say, in true TALA fashion - definitely something I find can be successful in my industry, too! (Nutraceuticals - you have to have a sense of humor or it can get so in-the-weeds technical LOL) Thank you for sharing, and CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Thank you for the deep dive on this. I have always wanted to start a brand/company and it can get overwhelming and hard to find. And I even work for a startup and didn’t know how everything goes so thank you!!
Just discovered your channel and podcasts and i love everything you put out there! Thank you for sharing, yes this may be the less flashy and engaging audiences stuff but for us, the people with no business building experience it’s priceless! I’m an architect, would love to go into development and building / renovating homes which are sustainable, beautiful, affordable and suitable for everyone - from families to older people. I’m foreign, obviously, but the thing i notice in the UK is most development in big cities is aimed at young professionals, i also rarely see older people living in city centres. Don’t know how I’m going to do it yet but I’m doing research and thinking!
LOVE YOU FOR DOING THIS. I never knew about your brand before, and I don't think you thought doing this video might get you a new customer but it just might too.
My 1st reaction when watching this video was “FINALLY!!”. Thank you for your higher purpose in making a difference for women entrepreneurs. Total hats off to you Grace 🤝
As someone who is not an entrepreneur (yet?), I still found this so interesting to get an insight into the brand and the behind the scenes! Love the brand & your content! Can I ask where the name TALA comes from?
Hi Grace, this is so interesting and useful - would you be open to a video talking about how you set up fundraising meetings and follow up / negotiation on deals. Would be very grateful for your advice and insights!
I have a question and I’m sure people who educate themselves on corporate finance wonder the same thing: how can you be an investor for other companies and raise funds at the same time for your own company. Is it like in personal finance where we are being asked to not invest in our business only but also in the stock market at the same time because it’s hard to build a company that lasts 50 years?
Hey Grace , Really nice video ! I was wondering if I could help you with more Quality Editing in your videos and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail and also help you with the overall youtube strategy and growth ! Pls let me know what do you think ?
How many active wear brands do we need lol go look at the places they get their clothes made. Fashion industry is responsible for more carbon emission than all flights in the world. not to mention pollution
2 % goes to women because there are many men and we all suffer to raise money its the 2nd hardest thing after getting great talent . Stop making it a women thing its an entrepreneur thing
Any advice on where to go for a seed round? I own a skateboard brand @norespekt and I need funding desperately can’t sustain self funding in this economy 😢
This is the best video I have ever watched on RU-vid!🥹. Please make more videos like this. Some of we girlies need the boring stuff. Thanks for giving the tea and not gatekeeping!
