This video is about how I can under a 9:30 2 mile? I hope this video which includes some of my top recommend running tips will help you make that next big leap in your running. Focus on consistent training over 12 and preferably 16 weeks in length and you will make significant gains.
Remember, it isn’t just about physical training but mental preparation as well. The best middle to long distance runners are spending approximately 40% of their weekly volume at or below goal race pace.
Check out the resources below to help take your preparation and racing to the next level. Leave a comment, like, share and subscribe. Thanks for your support of RunDreamAchieve.

You definitely have what it takes to break 16 and you are still very young. Your best years of running are in your early 30s. Keep up the super training and racing. Regarding breaking 16 check out this video. Hope it is helpful ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SlarQ8nz-Ug.html

Hi coach Nathan. This video is super motivational! I recently trained to get under 20min for the 5k and did it last Saturday in 19.45min. My previous PB was around 22.30min when I started training 13 weeks ago. My next goal is to get under 19mins. You’re absolutely right. Training speed and endurance for shorter distances did help me get faster over the 10k as well. Definitely took a lot of tenacity to get there! Thanks for all the videos!

Outstanding work Sarius on that 19:45!!! THAT is what I am talking about! You made a BIG leap going from 22:30 down to that. Awesome. You WILL run well below 19 minutes THAT is for sure. Keep me updated.

Hey! I’m an 8th grader who ran a 10:46 3200 with states coming up. Do you have any tips on how to improve your 5th and 6th lap?

Great video! For me this video is very relevant at the moment; I’ve gradually increased my mileage the last 12 months from 120 miles per month to over 200 miles per month, and just did 5 miles at 5:22 per mile (26:52). But I haven’t been doing much speed work! My best 1 mile is 4:53. I’m going to start incorporating the strides 3 times a week - I’m a bit worried that my aerobic fitness will sort of catch up with my poorer anaerobic fitness and I’ll reach a sort of bottleneck where I can’t improve my longer distance times!
@rundreamachieve
@rundreamachieve 3 года назад
Outstanding job Sam. 26:52 for 5 miles is moving so great job. What you are doing is certainly working and superior time with that 4:53 mile. Stay patient, continue to stress the body anaerobically but remember the benefits are going to come within the rest period so the real benefits are going to come during that aerobic running as well so still very important for success. Keep up the great work!

Currently using 2m as a monthly TT to see where fitness is, today is TT day! Last one was in Nov at 11:15, had an Achilles issue in dec so who knows what the time will be today! I would like your views on strategies for warming up for races and workouts, I feel like expending more energy before the event is counterintuitive so do a short and easy/recovery paced warm up, but I know this is not proven to be the best for performance in the ‘event’
@rundreamachieve

I will definitely touch on this topic in a near future video. Thanks for stopping by Yousef and well done with that 11:15! Quality running right there my friend. You’re on your way

Hey this is really great stuff. I was wondering if you have a sub 9:30 two mile training plan. I learned a lot from this video, which is why I think I would benefit from one of your training plans. For example, I have been adding 10 minutes to my long runs each week, and I usually do an all out 10 minute pickup at the end of each long run, but I learned from this video that I shouldn't be doing that every week. I'd really like to see one of your sub 9:30 training plans so I can adjust my training (I know your website has a sub 10 plan, but I've already done that and I'm trying to get under 9:30). Thank you for making this video.

My 3200m time is 9:47 I ran that my Junior year, it’s senior year and I’m really looking forward to breaking 9:30. I did very well up until my 7th, and 8th lap where I fell off pace by a few seconds. Any advice you could give to improve on the last 2 laps?
@rundreamachieve
@rundreamachieve Год назад
My best time as a junior was 9:46 so you're in a very similar situation that I was in. I think the key to dipping under 9:30 for you is really paying attention to that first mile. My nephew ran 9:28 at his Pennsylvania state meet (finished 4th). He ran close to even splits going out 4:45 the first mile and closing with a 4:43. So, focusing on a negative split is key and not going out too aggressive in that first mile. Hope this helps. Stay as relaxed as you can in the race and continue to monitor any tension..less muscular and mental tension, the better the performance. Be confident in your training and relax on race day, let your competition stress over little things that really don't matter on that day.

Hi I’m a sophomore in high school and I run a 4:31 1600 and a 2:03 800 meter but I haven’t run a 2 mile for over a month when I ran 10:01. What do you think I can run now?

Hey coach Nathan I’m in the army I got my two mile down from 13:30-10:36 as my PR trying to figure out different work outs that mesh well with me and my body and goals of a 9 min 2 mile any help would be amazing

Outstanding work Cameron dropping that 2-mile time down to 10:36. You may want to look into the course I made for military looking to run faster over 2 miles at courses.rundreamachieve.com/combat-fitness Also, go to the magnifying glass on the homepage of the RunDreamAchieve YT channel and type in "how to run a faster 2 mile" or "2 mile". I have made many videos which I think will be helpful to you. Keep up the superior work. You definitely have a sub 9 in you. It won't be easy but you are progressing in the right directly to achieve that type of time. 💪💪💪👊✊
