Thank you for the growing tips and happy to see yours are doing well. I received an african violet baby plant growing from a leaf in a bit of water from a friend - after letting it get several 3mm leaves, I potted it up in some small leca. It is doing wonderfully and putting out new leaves and getting larger. The roots are long and appear healthy and so delicate. I look forward to finding out what color she blooms someday.
Flower Focus all the way, yay! Ever since I started using it my peace lilies, african violets AND phal. orchids have flowered!! I would hazard a guess that you love african violets Nora?!? 😉🤗
African violets are so beautiful! I haven't had the issues you've shown - just lucky I guess - but I did try to separate a small plant from my big clump for someone and freaked out when the tiny piece ended up with most of the roots 😮 I thought I was going to lose my plant! It's one of the few plants I haven't transferred over to hydro yet, I was too afraid to unsettle it again after what I did 🤦. Its leaves are just returning to normal, so maybe I can switch it over now?
Maybe I will give it another try in the spring, using leca this time. All my other plants are doing well in it, except for the couple that just hate me no matter what. LOL
Hello. With plant 2, the one with no roots, what level did you put the water and if you had the level higher did you keep it that way until you got roots. Merry Christmas 🌲🎄
