Thank you for this video! I have tried and tried with no success. I decided the frustration wasn't worth it and took some time off from trying to grow hydrangeas in my garden. You have given me some hope. I love all of the little tips you give. I also LOVE rescuing plants from the discard pile. BUT I am sad to say that my intentions outweigh my successes. Thank you for inspiring and helping a wannabe gardener. I just might give the hydrangea another try. wink wink
I am not a rose girl but I LOVE how the roses look around all those gorgeous hydrangeas, I can't believe I still don't have any hydrangeas yet in my yard. I am planning on getting a limelight, I actually want 2 lol. I am in South Salt Lake zone 7b. I think I need to get some white and pink roses too.
The next couple weeks are a great time to look for hydrangeas too! It’s finally cooling off a little bit. I was chatting with my Cali friend and said the temp was “down to” low 90s and I had to wear a sweatshirt in the morning. 😂
Great content. I really love your approach and style. Your garden and home are very inspirational. Keep up the good work and I can’t wait to follow along. 🌸🙌🏻🌸
So nice of you to say! I love them so much I got green and black too. I added the link in the description just in case this one doesn't work (I'm new here so not sure!): amzn.to/4g0X29K
I am so happy to find you! I too am in SLC area. All I have in my yard is clay and rocks :( ive been told not to bother with hydrangea, but I love them, big leaf. Mine died last year, all new wood rhis year. Will they bud this fall? Should I fertilize now to get new buds? Im will protect them this winter in hopes of flowers next year 🤞
I might hold off; what type are you growing! You’ll love it here 😂 I grow lots of hydrangeas. Big fan! And people told me that for over a decade 🙄 thanks goodness I didn’t listen. 🤗
Oooh good question; do you know the timestamp of when you saw it? I’m not totally sure which section and I do have quite a lot of plants. 😊 wouldn’t want to say the wrong one!😂
I’ve planted a Love alot of Pink 2 weeks ago. Zone 7 She’s browning the leaves and looking very droopy. Can I cut her back now for fall or will I shock it more?
@@illustratorsgarden not circles. Edges of the leaves are browning and falling off. It’s not curling. And I’m not sure what type, from your video I’m thinking it’s is a panicle.
@@5262jannato be honest, I’m not sure I called it out in this video! I’m glad you asked because I’m working on more hydrangea content and sometimes it’s hard to make sure all the right info gets into each one!
Yes! 😍 mine are right in between flushes and UGH I cut a bunch of hydrangeas; GORGEOUS bouquet and forgot and left them out when I was putting away my camera and THEY BLEW AWAY 😂😂😂 half of them ended up in my rose topiary tree! Too funny.
Boise, ID. Like Utah/ we had many weeks of 100+ weather. Wonder if it is getting too much sun or maybe I need to add more drip emitters. I have several hydrangeas that got hit with some spider mite damage to the leaves. Your videos are super helpful. Thanks
