Came back to say that I was averaging 50% on the MCQ the day before the test; however, after watching this video, I felt pretty confident on the MCQ section. I ended up getting a 5!!

the strategy that you mentioned about underlining the line reference is the best tip i’ve ever gotten. i just took the ap test today, and i don’t think i would have finished if i didn’t do the line reference thing. i feel like this one strategy can also bring up my inconsistent act reading score to the mid-high 30s. thanks!

I found out this past February that I could knock out a really intense class at my chosen college by taking the AP Lang exam...so I decided in March that I'd self-study for and take the exam. Even though I'm a pretty good writer (I've taken some college-level writing classes, but they weren't "ap"), I'm low-key terrified that I'll miss something since I'm self-studying XD Your video was very reassuring!

Been taking practice tests and even tho during my course we haven't don't much stuff that's gonna be on the exam I've found the mcqs not too hard and there weren't really any questions at all that required knowledge of lesser-known rhetorical devices, but the rhetorical analysis essay is where that knowledge is needed

Oh my, I believe the advice you gave from the perspective of a 5 point achiever is very insightful. Everything sounds very useful and effective. I think for any kind of exams, it is always most helpful to seek advice from those who actually got a top score, and I also believe the clear structure of your video must be benefited by your writing. It seems that writing is such a powerful skill as it helps people to think and speak clearly

Hey Grace, don't worry! The key to this essay isn't necessarily trying to learn as much new information as you can; instead, you should try to remember topics you already know well. I would suggest making a list of any interesting books you've read in the past, any news stories that have caught your eye, and personal experiences. To gain more general knowledge, you can also read news stories daily from credible sources such as The New York Times - I read it every day!

Basically everyone AP test hall happen on the same day for each subject to prevent cheating. And it’s on paper too because the website had a problem. 😢 3 essays on paper

Since I took the exam in 2017, my Quizlet back then was not very comprehensive. I would spend 2-3 weeks focusing on each type of essay and practice multiple choice questions from the College Board, Barron's, Albert, etc. throughout the whole semester!
