Thx mate for the video. Had my bror for almost 2 years now and all is good trying a new project and liked how u combined the long pole with the short one.. All straight forward the only parts I didn't get is using the L brackets to hold the floating shelves 🤔
Cant wait to see what lights are using, cause i bought the same setup, but didnt know which lights are perfect. And your lights looks realy fine to me!
Yeah the white shelves also looks great especially if you have a smaller space coz the white doesn't make the room look even smaller. Definitely prefer the white display for my X-men collection as well because most of them have really vibrant colours so they really stand out against the white 🙂
Nice setup. Here is what I did to my bror: I got the black and first thing I did is to cut the top tips so I have flat shelf with nothing pointing out. I purchased 5 mm black foam sheet and black Foam Strips with Adhesive, 1 Inch Wide X 1 Inch Thick. Got me a slim double sided tape I applied the slim double sided tape to the back frame all round. I then applied the Foam Strips with Adhesive, 1 Inch Wide X 1 Inch Thick. All round. Removed the Adhesive and attached the 5 mm black foam sheet. The 5 mm black foam sheet is my background I went with black as I believe it makes the statue pop . I used the Foam Strips with Adhesive, 1 Inch Wide X 1 Inch Thick to give Ms that extra depth which worked around 3 cm so the shelf depth went from 54 to 57 cm which beleive or not made a big difference as it was important for me to make sure statues fit inside perfectly. I then got a 4mm custom acrylic sheets and magnetic tape. Applied the magnetic tape to the acrylic and stick them to the front and sides. This basically protects the statues if you have kids and keeps the dust away which is somthing I didn't want to deal with. It took forever but we'll worth it.
There are any pictures of your setup, it realy sonds very good to me! Also i am looking for a good lightning setup up like in the video, but he didnt say what lights he used.
Thank you for sharing this video with us. Those shelves look great and your collection fantastic. Here in the states we also have Walmart that have similar products. Like you said it is up to us and our most convenient local places. Still it is awesome of you to share the knowledge. Till next video, take care and stay safe.
Great video my brother., everything looks great. I went with the BROR along with the PAX for my man-cave. Now i just have to find the time to put it all together and I cant wait to share. I'm not a big fan of custom shelving, but customizing is smart. You have that XM Studios Vibe.....God Bless.
Thank you for this. Your display turned out awesome. You really have an amazing collection. I’d love to see an in depth video on that spidey transformation piece. Looks great.
Thanks very much! Will definitely be doing some vids on some of my fave pieces in the collection and transformation Spidey is definitely one of them so hopefully soon 🙂
Thanks mate! Gotta love Ikea 😁 Yeh the 110cm shelves are also a good option and I actually have a couple of them for my MCU line up in the other room 🙂
Thanks bro! Haha the portal on Surfer's base is actually very back heavy and he even has a tendency to fall backwards when he's on a flat surface so having him hanging over the edge of the display a little actually makes him more stable 😅
How are these Ikea BROR shelves still holding up for you, in terms of handling the weight of your statues? I noticed IKEA doesn't mention how much weight the shelves hold on their site for these. BTW, I love your videos--really hoping you do more soon.
Thanks man. Really appreciate it! Sorry for the late reply btw. I haven't had any issues with the Bror shelves at all and I've been using them for a couple of years now 🙂
Fantastic display!! One of the best I’ve seen on RU-vid. Thank you for walking us through the shelf setup. The shelves look like they hold a lot of weight. Have you had any problems with the shelves sagging? Thank you again!!
Thanks so much for the feedback mate. The shelves can definitely hold a lot of wait and because the shelves are made out of metal as well and there's a middle support beam on each one so there's no risk of sagging 🙂
Thanks for sharing your setup! It looks clean. How much weight can those shelves handle? Can't wait to watch your light setup video, keep up the good work!
Thanks bro! They can handle a fair bit of weight actually. I can't remember exactly how much though. I'm hoping to film the lighting video in the coming week so stay tuned 🙂
