Travel and exposing my children to other cultures is what I will spend money on. That's the one part of my budget that I don't mind busting now and again. Time is finite so I will use my money to enjoy it.

“It brings me joy, so, I splurge.” Same way I’ve chosen to live over the past year or so, and I’ve noticed that, while I buy less stuff for myself, I’ve been generally less stressed and happier.

Nice to know I'm not the only person obsessed with organization. Thanks for the great video!

I was spending too much money on books. I rode my bike to the local library today and got a library card. It will save me money in multiple ways, and free exercise! And I just started cutting my own hair. $20 a month, and less money on shampoo since I'm going down to a size 2 clipper. I'm not sure what I splurge on. Probably guns. But right now I'm focusing on getting out of debt, so no splurges for awhile.

I think you are getting good value for your haircuts! Your hair always looks great. It could be the key to your success on RU-vid and therefore an excellent investement.

I interpreted that thumbnail as each of your haircuts costing $1000 😂

Wow your wife is just like me. I was born in Korea, raised in São Paulo, Brazil and living in the US. I speak four languages as well but get brain freeze all the time when I cannot remember some words.

I think Cruises are the best bang for your buck, we take one every year to different parts of the Caribbean, Mexico, and Key West. We need to go to Baja Mexico now!

I totally disagree with spending on books. I use my local library. I won’t buy books (maybe second hand) because I don’t want them hanging around my house and I know I won’t read a book a second time. I’m fortunate that I really don’t mind reading a book that is a bit “worse for wear”. I know some people get creeped out knowing other people’s grubby hands have been all over the pages, but me….mah.

Can you do a video on your parenting style (and being a Tiger Dad) when it comes to education and money spent on obtaining the best set up for getting your children into the college of their choice down the road?

Love your channel! I also grew up in Brasil like your wife. It’s amazing how much of your splurges line up with my mine. Just not the hair😂 I could not agree more about traveling. I’m at 48 countries now.

Splurge on your hair while you have it! Being old and bald now, I wish I grew my hair down to my butt when I was younger. So, again, do it while you can now because one day you won't be able to!

Great content as usual! Reminds me a lot of Ramit Sethi’s quote: ‘Spend extravagantly on the things you love, and cut costs mercilessly on the things you don't’ Keep up the great work, that hair looking good today bruh 🤜

I have enjoyed your videos for quite some time and share your investing strategy of Vanguard index funds. I also splurge on many of the same things on your list, at least 7 of your top 10.

If I had your hair, I’d spend on it, too. In fact, if I had any hair at all, I would spend more on it.😊

Me too. A good watch you can use it for five decades and give to grandkids afterwards
@BFit25

@@henrysong921 Fair point. Moreover, when I look at how many people spend 60k on a depreciating car, at least a good watch will hold it’s value and have some worth. Eventually that car will be worth nothing.
