If you want to avoid GMO ingredients when feeding a dairy cow, the choices are limited and expensive. This video shows how I sprout grains in an effort to make a more digestible feed that is both organic and affordable. I also supplement with minerals including calcium, magnesium, boron and iodine.

Hare Bol, I'm just trying to sprout this season for my cows. Here is Florida the ground tends to be very sandy and it it difficult to keep a nice pasture. Have you tried sprouting any other grains? Can you do another video on caring for your cows?

I also have a soft spot for jerseys. My retired cow, Lani Moo is a jersey and so sweet.

I live in the country in NY state. I have a neighbor who buys one young cow a year, grows it big and then takes to the slaughter house and eats it. She told her husband that she wanted to keep the cow as a pet as she got attached to the last one, but he said no. I am sending her your videos so she can see how lucky Krishna's cows are. I feel so sad when i see the cow in the barn knowing soon they will eat it. Maybe she will keep the next cow. I am trying to get her to get a dairy cow so she can have milk and keep the cow. She has chickens. I'm showing her how to make curd cheese - hoping she will get a dairy cow. They have 30 acreas and a nice barn.

You are describing a sad normal. We picked up hay yesterday and some customers were talking about how they name their cows after what they expect to eat. So sad. All we can do is be a good example and pray that their hearts soften.
