How I "stole" 😉 a $1,739 camcorder from Best Buy. Panasonic HC-X1500

I stopped by my local Best Buy today to simply browse the camera section and ended up placing an order for a Panasonic HC-X1500. It was an offer simply too good to pass up - it felt like I was stealing it! It normally retails for $1,739 and they were offering it BRAND NEW for just $850!! The price seems to only be available in-store.

Same thing happened to me. I was in to buy a battery. I was at the store next to the corporate headquarters. They were doing training with a bunch of managers, and they gave me no problem at all. It took two minutes. By the time I got back to Raleigh, from Minneapolis, two day later, it was on my desk at work. It was over the Memorial Day Holiday. Just lucky I guess.

It is such a great camcorder! For $850, it's a no-brainer. Glad you were able to get one - Best Buy is currently sold out (as I predicted they would in the video)

Thank you...thank you....thank you Guy!!!! I went to Best Buy and bought what I was told was their last unit shipped to me 1,000 miles away. It was $850 and brand new I just took delivery. Great Deal....

thanks for your videos. yes, you're right. I purchased mine today, I saw on sale last week in the best buy Sacramento location, i when back today, and got mine also for 850.00 dollars too. my friend is a videographer, he told me it's a great buy, the fact that best buy, amazon, any other retailer store has it foe around 1700.00. incredible buy.

Similar story. Browsed video cams, saw this on clearance. Impulse buy. Not in stock but associate placed order on their system. In store pickup, 10/15, Honolulu

i got it for that price too i couldnt pass it up been using it for year , low light is iffy but worth every dollar

I found myself not using it very often so sold it for nearly what I paid for it. It was cheaper to buy it and use it a few times than it was to rent it. 🤣

It's one of the better deals I've gotten in the past decade. I don't use it all that much, but when the situation arises where it does make sense, it's amazing!

Bummer! I used it this past weekend at the graduation and it was fantastic!! For $850, it's an unbelievable deal. Best Buy still hasn't discounted it on their website, so I wonder if I just happened to take advantage of an error in their system.

i also seen it for 850 waiting for it in the mail, im nervous is it worth it , many people say low light is bad

Lowlight is not great, but still better than using your phone! This camcorder works best in bright outdoor light. Since it's equipped with a built-in ND filter, keeping the correct shutter angle is easily achieved. For $850, you can't go wrong!

That's awesome...probably some glitch in their system, the inventory in BB stores seems to be badly mismanaged for some reason. I used to go into BB all the time, but the inventory has gotten so low I don't even bother anymore, it has become a online order pick up spot and Geek squad repair shop sad really

Yeah, I rarely go into BB. My wife and I were placing bets about a week ago as to when they will be filing for bankruptcy. It's still not displaying the clearance price on the website, so it feels like there was a mistake made. I paid for expedited shipping because I need it by Friday and it hasn't shipped yet which is a bit worrisome. Hopefully it will ship soon...
