Today we will go into my battle with hidradenitis (HS) over the years, how I have handled it and how I worked on it in pregnancy and with hormone changes! Share your stories with me as well! Let me know what you think. ENJOY!★
Not smoking and dietary changes have been the most beneficial in putting my HS into remission. The biggest dietary change for me that has made the BIGGEST difference is NO SUGAR! if boils do crop up, I hit them with a one-two punch of Boil Gone solution in the morning and Miami Beach Bum mint/oil of oregano cream in the evening, and I also start with megadoses of turmeric and oil of oregano. I can get these things shrunk down in 2-4days, and they’re gone within the week. (I know everyone is different. I’m just just trying to share what’s worked for me.)
Yesss!!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 DITTO EVERYTHING you said!! I’ve Been living with HS since 2012 (18yo). Then got a good hold of it in 2020, I’m so thankful🤌🏽🥲♥️ Dr Nina is also a HUGE life saver🙌🏽
Thank you for doing this video. I was diagnosed with HS during pregnancy, and after having several surgeries I'm still trying to get control of this awful condition.
I have had HS since the age of 17. I was in remission/stage 1 until I turned 41 and BAM, I was stage 3. I changed my diet, took every medication and ended up having around 35 surgeries from June 2022-August 2023. I am now back to stage 1, whew! Thank you for always sharing your journey with us.
Why is diet SO FKIN HARD TO PSYCHOLOGICALLY MANAGE ISTG I literally can't think of not having chicken or even loosing weight......I hate my brain for being like this
Back when I used to get these I used to take all cell detox by natures sunshine and remove processed foods and gluten from my diet. It helped a lot. But I think the real game changer was removing stress and my toxic ex boyfriend.
My abscess are getting smaller and not always draining , but have been mainly draining since 2015 . The pain seems to never end and pain meds do not help at all . Sorry for the rant .
I'm so sorry for your pain. I hope it gets better. I don't suffer from HS but I do have other health issues. Sending you lots of hugs and best wishes xx
My areas are under my arms which I had to have surgery for twice unfortunately. I’ve also had them in the warm areas down below which has me so afraid of intimacy. I’ve definitely been trying some of the tips you suggest and have noticed improvements. I also have started taking a probiotic for my area below which seems to also be helping. This videos have helped me become more aware of the small changes I can implement without surgery or the injections. My dermatologist recommended humira and another one but the treatment plans are never consistent. I’m praying for the right dermatologist who will take me and my treatment more seriously.
I started Humira last month for HS . My inner thighs were covered with inflamed boils and carbuncles . I have already noticed a slight difference. No draining and all the redness has gone away . Swelling has gone down now I’m just looking forward to seeing the bumps go away. I definitely feel you when you say you’ve been scared of intimacy due to all the boils , same here, but I’m hoping Humira will fix this.
I've had HS since 2008 and i finally found help i started to use a natural sugar scrub and deodorant on tick Toc Natural remedies 2022 and it's been since January and i would say its 80% better no more open sores my scares are better too. I will say that watching the original you posted has helped me over these last few years thank you
Ommmg I was juuuuuust wondering what to do? I didn’t know what to type in google lol. Soooo happy I came across this cause I have no idea why I was getting boils.
Wow, I struggle with this as well. Mine increased greatly during pregnancy and during postpartum. I was not sure what was causing it. Went to a dermatologist and they mentioned this diagnosis and told me to use benzoyl peroxide wash. That helped minimally. I kept getting these and they would hurt and, because they would pop, I would get bad scarring, still shows today. I still get them but not as bad since I’ve been removing hair from that area consistently. This video was so informative. Thank you for sharing your experience because I kept thinking to myself the way these boils increased, it has to be hormonal as well. But I will definitely look into what I eat too. Thank you again.
Though I've never been formally diagnosed, I'm pretty sure this condition runs in my family. My mom actually got her sweat glands removed as a treatment for her recurring underarm boils. I found that switching to aluminum and baking soda free deodorant has helped me significantly. My lady parts and thighs still have flairs sometimes but staying as frictionless as possible really does help with reducing the number of flairs I get a year.
Check for food allergies you might have. I found out I had a wheat allergy. I stopped eating everything that had wheat and am seeing a huge difference. In just 3 weeks the inflammation from under my arm pits & my inner thighs is almost gone.
Thank you for this video. I've had it since I was 9 and I'm 40 now. No one could tell me what it was. I ended up diagnosing myself and then went to a dermatologist that confirmed it for me and that didn't happen until I was 35. So I have tons of scars to the point I can't wear a sleeveless top. I'm always in pain and I'm super insecure too.
People say that to me too. You don't look like you have it your skin is beautiful. I'm like well we aren't close enough for you to see the areas affected
I have been going over your old video about HS since Friday. I am tired of this. I had surgery at the end of last year. Havent had any new boils in the same spot. But I had them in other spots. I have one now down below, and it hurts. I started today to start getting my life back. I drink lots of soda (sunkist ) and coke. I am going to cut back a lot on these soda. Have not had any today. I also ordered hibiclen today. Also, I am going to stop taking birth control pills. I saw a couple of videos that too much progestin can cause Hs. I saw someone mention using castor oil to prevent friction what do you think about this? I been on antibiotics for over four years and still get boils.😢 One more question after the boil starts to drain should I continue apply warm compress or stop?
Hiyee...Doctor Nina. I pray that you and Hunter Paige are settling in nicely. Please throw a Walmart shopping turn up soon. You can list clothing, products, and baby items for your little "afro unicorn" ❤ We miss the Wednesday turn up.. whoot whoot!
Hi, can you please help me. Can you tell me anything why moles and tags pop out on your skin😊❤ And by the way I just love you. And your beautiful family❤😊
I don’t know think I have hs but I can’t stand my skin keep getting ingrowns between thighs and inner bikini line. I found out being a sweaty girl can cause ingrowns. I don’t get boils. It’s exhausting
Hello. Thank you for this video. I have a question about Neem. I just looked into it for my daughter's scalp. Her scalp flakes quickly after washing. Do you think it will work for her? We are going to the dermatologist this summer, but since you mentioned it, I just wanted to know your thoughts.
It the same for body acne. I can pop my bumps. However i hoping not to. By keeping my skin clean as i can. No lotion with mineral oil or petroleum. Helps as well.
MY MAMA ALWAYS SAID BOILS COME FROM TOXIN OR INFECTIONS IN YOUR BODY FINDING A WAY TO COME OUT, THE OLD FOLKS USE TO TO CALL THEM RISENS MY MAMA IS FROM MASSACHUSETTS AND SHE USE TO GET SO MAD AT ME WHEN I CAME HOME FROM DOWN SOUTH IN THE SUMMER AND SAY AUNTIE CHRIS HAD A ANOTHER RISEN UNDER HER ARM AND MY MAMA WOULD SAY THAT WAS A DAM BOIL😂😂😂 GOD REST HER SOUL SHE WAS A FUNNY, VERY SMART LADY💕🙏🏽
Use hydrogen peroxide on my boils in my panty line. And alcohol on the area just over my vagina. That kerps them away. I have incontinence, and i wear pads. So,the friction irritates my skin. And when i slack off eating my salad.
I would say to be safe, it would help to see your doc and rule out all other skin conditions. Some may see it close to there as it can occur in the groin.
I have a remedy that has helped me tremendously: Himalayan salt with olive oil, cover the salt with the oil for a week and scrub the area with it twice a day when you feel it coming. It will prevent a full outbreak. You can also add a little bit of turmeric powder to it as well. Trust me it works! You can also just use the salty oil out of the shower to treat it.
I would recommend looking up a recent study found on hibclens and panoxyl. I stopped using them and sent a message to my dermatologist about it with a link to the article.
