You're not alone. This hits me really hard. As someone who suffered from male pattern baldness, I took the issue for granted. Ako nga sinasabihang dyango bustamante, tito boy abunda, bentong. Minsan, aasarin pa ako may paliparan daw ako baka puwedeng maglanding d2 sa noo ko, matipid sa shampoo pero maaksaya sa facial wash, at masyado mababa ung kilay ko. Sobrang sakit akala kasi nila simpleng condition lang yung pinagdadaanan natin. Ako naman ayoko magcap dahil naiinitan ako napapawisan ang ulo ko basang basa.

Wlaa talagang gamot jan sa male pattern baldness kasi heredity na yan, laki na ng nagastos ko jan siguro almost 40k na sa mga derma pero may mga nirereseta lang sila na ipapahid. Ang napansin ko lang sakin grabe ung dandruff ko na parang wax siya pag nababasa yun siguro ung pinaka main cause ng male pattern baldness. Sinasabi ko rin siya sa derma pero di nila masyado pinapansin pero sure ako fugae siya na need maalis sa scalp. Naaalis naman siya pero bumabalik rin, sayang gastos sa derma ang dapat talaga gawin matulog lang lagi ng maaga

I experienced the same but different spot of my hair. I am using minoxidil for the past years but so I regularly. This year i am using it regularly for 2 months now. It is also first time i heard about the oral medicine fenasteride. I will try to visit dermatologist to check about it. Thank you it is so helpful
@@HitchcockNScully hmm good question on the brand. The pharmacy just sends it to me every three months so I will check it. When I was still in the Philippines, I used the generic version.

I purchased hair treatment pills in the U.S and found out about the decreased libido side effect before I consumed it, so I didn't end up taking it. lol I was super scared and didn't want that to happen to me ahaha I'm still kind of scared, but makes me feel better that it didn't affect you.

I'm only 16 y/o po pero may receding hairline na ko and medyo thin na rin po yung hair ko. Kinakabahan po 'ko since ambata ko pa po masyado para rito, malaki rin po impact ng hairloss na to sa confidence ko kasi may iilan akong mga classmate na nakakapansin huhuhu 'di ko po alam gagawin ko, ang pagkaka alam ko po kasi ang minoxidil and finasteride are only for those people who are 18 y/o above, kaya 'di ko po alam kung ano gagawin, please pa help po!

Actually may healthy way in order to overcome hairloss. Proper Diet, Proper Exercise, Proper Lifestyle kung mapuyat kang tao aba talagang matinding hairloss yan! 😅 But then again, kung nasa genes mo yan just learn to accept pero yung mga nabanggit ko kakapal ulit yang buhok mo specially kung lagi naaarawan yan mula 6am-7:30am healthy vitamins coming from the sun. Yang mga products na ginagamit nila makakatulong yan, lalo dun sa mga business owners 😂 Kasi may kasamang ingredients yan na kapag di kana nagamit mas gagrabe hairloss mo. Basta may Proper Exercise at Lifestyle ka, di mo poproblemahin yang hairloss.
Thank God that I don't have a high hairline. I'm on my journey in making my hair long. Mostly of the product that works for me, biotin shampoo. For my eyebrows, I use minoxodil. Pero still consult your derma for an expert advice.
This might sound taboo but how’s your libido and erections? I have thinning hair at 22 and I’m considering Finasteride but I’m concerned of the aforementioned though it’s not guaranteed to have it. Please state the dosage and how many times a day you’re taking them? Tia
2 years on fin, switched to Dutasteride.. Now in my 5th month on dut. Hair is back, full like a forest. I dont use minox.. effectivity fades after sometime in minox. My little soldier still salutes by the way 😅
@@allegrostore6779 it is effective. Iin two years, i got better head of hair and unnoticeable bald spots. It is amazing. It halted my shedding.. grew back some hairs but I needed a thicker hair (got greedy sorry) I am glad i switched. 😊
I’ve been taking finasteride and topical minoxidil 1 week palang. to be honest noticeable yung pagkapal ng hair ko and pag tubo ng baby hairs, Mas okay tlga na to consult your dermatologist first before you proceed with medication. Mas better ung may guidance from them to avoid complications or worsening of your condition. Regarding sa 3rd side effect, hndi po sakin nangyayari hahaha
Agree ako with the combined use of Minoxidil and Finasteride as prescribed by my Dermatologist as well. Consistency is the key talaga kasi when you stop for a long period of time, back to zero talaga.. so sayang. Right now, I'm using Minoxidil, Finasteride + Derma roller.. and it really helps. I tried PRP for 6-8 sessions ata, effective din pero mahal kasi talaga.. like 40-50k ung sakin. Another treatment is ung red/blue LED light therapy, I also tried that treatment, may nakita akong improvement pero mas mahal siya, and for me mas okay si PRP. But again, happy ako now sa Minoxidil, Finasteride and Derma roller treatment na ginagawa ko, mas malaki ung naging improvement as compared to PRP and Red/Blue LED Light.. but you really have to be consistent. ☺

@@HitchcockNScully Hello! Forgot the name na of the initial brand of finasteride na prescribed sakin. Pero I only took it for 30 days then I switched to TGP (The Generics Pharmcacy) brand of finasteride. Mas mura kasi and it's equally effective compared to the branded one.

Hi Jan, hope you consider this when you interview a derma for your YT channel. Will finasteride affect the kidney? This is an oral medication and it will ofcourse go through our digestive system. Concerned on how this will affect other body organs esp the kidneys

Confirmed it stops hairloss, I've been on ot for a year plus. But now I'm thinking micro needling finasteride. I saw another YT video saying that PRP isnt really effective. But microneedling finasteride is. Lemme know what you think and the experiment we can do.

@@Sammyduo214 actually you could try any just ask for what brands do they have for Finasteride, if it is a 5mg tablet, just cut it into 4 pieces. i have tried Atepros(5mg), Proscar(5mg) ang Propecia(1mg). and i think the most effective one for me is Atepros

True. Male pattern baldness is not talked about in the PH when in fact 9/10 guys in their 30s, 40s above has problems with receeding hairline But it’s hard to find a woman who has a big problem with hairloss, mostly it’s just temporary hairloss due to stress, pregnancy, etc bihira ka makakalita ng babae na panot, puro lalaki But all discussion is about female hair loss
Minoxidil is good kung maaagapan kaagad ung early signs of recession.. Been using minoxidil for 7 years, since napansin ko ung temple region receded quickly due to stress sa job. Un nga lang hindi ko na naibalik ung original hairline. 1 bottle is enough for 2 yeàrs sa akin para pang maintainance.
@@Ongielsir, i need oral minoxidil din. where's the link in your description box? khit name brand nlang pls. wla kc oral minox sa mercury propecia lng (oral finas) eh nag fi finasteride nako, (topical). so gus2 ko itry oral minox kc parang di effective sakin topical eh. regrow 5-6%
i take 1 mg finasteride 3 times a week only. and it works for me, i follow these two australian dermatologists here in youtube i forgot their names, but basically one of them is one of the derma who created minoxidil from the 90s, so they are really familiar and professional about this topic.
Happy to have given hope ❤ by the time I was taking finasteride, tapos na ako with isotret eh. But I think derms may allow kasi I was looking to do isotret end of last year and wala naman winarn sakin derm ko na bawal sabay. Di nga lang napush isotret kasi my acne suddenly got better on just topical bp + tret haha. Would only worry if planning to conceive. :) But definitely continue to discuss w/ ur derm!
My partner is taking finasteride and topical minoxidil. We are expecting to see results after 6 months pa pero maganda result sa kanya. His bald spot is still there but it’s less noticeable.

Ako rin. 1st month in applying Minoxidil. Kinabahan ako malala kasi parang mas lumala yung hairfall ko on the top of my head part. So, basically, para siyang retinol na ipu-purge ka muna. I'll update after 12mos.
I think PRP ang latest solution sa hairloss/hairfall around 8k~15k php per session depende kung bago palang naglalagas isang sessin lang. Not sure sa details pero sana makagawa kayo vlog about it.
Actually mukhang the latest solution is exosomes while PRP is more yung mas matagal na! Thinking baka maganda icompare yung dalawa like prod and cons. Thanks for the suggestion!

Naglagas nang sobra buhok ko dati and grabe rin dandruff ko, umaabot na sa kilay and pilik mata. Kaya nag online consult ako, 6% Minoxidil + tretinoin ang nireseta for my hairloss and I've been using it for 9 months na. It stopped my hairloss pero hindi nya naachieve yung expected kong results, which is yung tutubo ulit yung hair na nalagas.
Sabi ng derm ko sakin, wala talagang sure sa regrowth. Ang pinakacertain na is for men na naumipis yung hair sa crown area tapos nag-finasteride. Even for me not really regrowth yung sakin, more of new growth talaga siya, kumakapal yung ibang hair, but yung pagbabalik ng nalagas is never sure. But ang bright side for me is at least nagstop na hairloss kaysa more hair nawala.
Finasteride worked for me. Started .25mg daily and it stopped my hairloss (thinning at the crown). Upped my dose to .5mg since wala naman ako side effects. Grabe kakawala ng self confidence nung ang nipis ng crown ko. Everyday naka-cap. Finasteride is only clinically proven to to stop hairloss at the crown area. For temple, use minoxidil. I tried topical minoxidil for the temple but i stopped. Hindi ko kayang magocommit everyday magpahid. Finasteride has many side effect so do your research. But you can always stop taking the pill if you experience side effect. Edit: My friend is also taking 1mg fin daily and he is also successful in reversing his hairloss.
Finally! I have been waiting for a local vlogger whom i can relate to. Although i have to admit i may need a second or third opinion from a different doctor as the dermatologist i went to the last told me bluntly that it’s a hopeless case for me and then pitched me to formulate a minoxidil and finasteride combo topical for 3500 php?! 😱 lalo ako nanlumo to have heard the price..hahaha

Highschool grade 7 or 8 i start hair fall on left front temple hairline and stop hairfall in grade 9 or 10 and i starts again when i was in senior highschool and college 1st year and stop again in 2nd year but this month of sept my middoe parts front are thinning and its flat no volume anymore and my right side no issue of hairfall just on left are always hairfall and my hairline rights side are thinning a little bit not high is low and my left side are not growing anymore and my front are really flat no volume 😢

You need to understand that this is purely genetics. Also not all Norwood 1, 1.5, or 2 is doomed to progress to Norwood 3. It is actually a misconception. Most people with less severe male pattern baldness can have Norwood 1-2 for most of their lives (Age ~=50). The paranoia starts when you expect the worst even if it just you having a mature hairline.
Finally nag release ka na po ng vlog regarding sa hairloss. Just want to share my story with y'all. Treatments ko: Min 15+ months, Fin 7 months, Derma roll, biotin, zinc, Aloe Vera, and Head and Shoulder anti-dandruff shampoo I hope you all have time to read this and maybe share your opinions as well. I just wanted to share my story with you. I first noticed my hair thinning since 2018 back when I was still 16 years old. I think the reasons I started thinning and hair fall was because I was so into hair wax/gel that causes dandruff back then along with oily scalp and varicocele (I don't know if there's a connection between hair loss and varicocele as it causes low sperm count etc). So, I got an operation for it. I tried to resolve that with shampoo like Mane N Tail as it helps thickens your hair but unfortunately, it didn't help. So, I let my hair grow long and as a teenager back then, I really don't think about my hair thinning/loss because my mentality was it would just grow back. Unfortunately, it didn't either. And when covid came, I shaved my head bald and noticed that my hair on top was so thin and my scalp is so clear but I still didn't think about it. Then 2022 arrived, I tried to resolve it again with minoxidil hoping that it would work out this time around. I've been applying minoxidil since 2022 and taking finasteride for 7 months already since August 2023 but there's still no regrowth. Currently, I'm 21, a student, so stressed and depressed about it because all the time when I'm with my friends, classmates and even my family members bully me and jokes about it and that really made me anxious and lose my self esteem/confidence. There's no day that I don't think about my hair and it really affects me on my day to day life. Wish you all could help me. We all can do this guys.
