I always find it helpful to see how people organize their crafts, what products you use, etc. I store my stamps using a similar organization system. Since I am not on any design teams, I did interfile all my stamps by theme a few years ago, but recently have filed all my Lawn Fawn stamps together as I'm currently using those the most, so it's a little easier to shop my stash. Should I admit I'm into my third Fridge Binz for those? Similarly, I also decided to keep all my MFT - Stacey Yacula sets and Colorado Craft Company's Anita Jeram sets together. I really need to purge my stamps but find that so hard to do. Thanks for this video and all the inspiration.
It’s crazy how quickly a collection can grow! I do go through and do a purge of my stamps and other supplies every three to four months though, because I just don’t have the space to store much else. I’m lucky to have a few friends and family members who are happy to take them off my hands, so that makes it easier, knowing someone else is going to enjoy them.😊
I love your organization . Im very curious to see the card you have displayed on top of your cubby. I tried zooming in but still can't see it! LOL I also checked out your videos but didn't see it there. Can you show it to us please!!! 🤞
Thank you so much for doing this video. I wish I could buy all the storage pockets I’d need, I’ve used ziplock type bags from Amazon and they are way too big. I have two packages of vent covers on the way from Amazon, won’t be here until the 21st. Right now my dies are in mini zipper type bags with the stamp set they belong to. Can hardly wait to have my dies laid out so I can see them. Question, do you take a day to snip all your new die sets apart or do them a set at a time when needed? Thank you again. Would love an updated room video 😊. Hugs.
I usually get multiple sets in at a time, so I will often sit down and do the die snipping and organization on an evening. I’ll put on RU-vid or an audio book and listen while I work. I wish I could set a day aside, but I usually don’t have a day free between work and filming, so I have to get it done at night. Hugs!☺️
I am trying to organize my stamp and die sets, so this was a perfect video and very timely! I also have the MFT storage pouches, along with their magnetic storage sheets. However, the tip on using and cutting the register covers is perfect and allows a bit more customization on sizing that part for the die sets. Seeing how you organize and label and the reasoning behind that was very helpful, as well.
I love this video! I love watching how other crafters organize their supplies and their craft spaces; gives me ideas for my own area and my own things. This content, combined with your card making videos, is very interesting to me and I enjoy watching it. Your tips and tricks are very helpful and hearing why you do things the way you do, is super useful. I love how you have everything very uniform and it looks really easy to work with. I can't wait for your craft room tour. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and insights with us. Have a lovely week! Big hugs and lots of love!
I’m so glad you’re enjoying this new content, Rose! I am definitely a creature of habit and so I don’t change things around hardly ever, so I forget that something that is so mundane and everyday to me with how I store things might be interesting to others! I will definitely try to intersperse more videos like this with the cardmaking, since it seems people are enjoying them. Glad to hear you are too!🥰
QUESTION: I love your organization, but how do you fit the 6x8 in the large pockets? Do you have to use the extra large? Also, with the large sets, how do you fit 2 rows in 1 bin? Thank you!!❤
I store the 4”x8” sets in the tall pockets in the same bin, just in the back of the regular size ones. The really big sets I store in the XL pockets in a different bin because they don’t fit with the others. I hope that helps!😊
How do you find what you are looking for? For example, I have my stamps cataloged in a binder. I have so many stamps and dies I can’t remember all of the stamps I have. Each stamp is a assigned a number that correlates to the stamp in my binder. I admit the binder takes up room but I can easily flip through it and find the stamp or die I’m looking for. I find this especially helpful with sentiments.
I’m blessed, I guess, with being able to remember what I have. I use my supplies so frequently that I don’t really forget. So I just walk over and flip through, then grab what I need. That’s fantastic that you’ve found a system that works for you!😊
I don’t bother putting the smaller sets alphabetically. Since they’re two or four to a package, that would be tricky, so I just flip through those until I find what I want. But I have way less of those than the full sized sets, so it’s not difficult to just flip through.🙂
The fridge binz is just the brand but this one is the big one with the divider, yes. The actual plastic dividers are made from plastic folders from the school supply section at Walmart. I cut them down to size and round the corners. They work great! Hope that helps!😊
I have a pretty good memory. And if I’m not completely sure, I just flip through the sets and check.🙂 Sorry! I don’t have a list or anything like that.
Currently, I just tuck my stencils in the front of my Raskog cart. If you watch my recebt craft room tour video, I show it in that one. It’s not super organized but it is easy access and I don’t own that many. If I got a bunch more I might have to come up with a new system. Glad you enjoyed this video!☺️
Love this - I am trying to get organized - I have sooo much - is this the Ikea KALLAX? Also off hand how many stamps and dies do you think you have. I might need to get too of the KALLAX LOL
Thank you so much for this video. I’m in the process of organising way to many stamps that I’ve just been given. Each time I go through them I send some to the charity shop. Have ordered some of the pockets you were using as I’d like them more uniform. Being in the UK, I found a company that is stocking products from US but could only order 3 packs as they put a limit on amount of each product. Which is ok, except it’ll mean extra postage to order some more. Cheaper than flying to US though 😊
Than thanx thanx for sharing! U should see how I keep and store all mine 🤪! (U wouldn’t want to) But I now know what everyone is talking about the heat covers and what they look like. Thanx!
@Christy Gets Crafty That's awesome! Here soon I am about to go through my stamps & dies & decide which ones to keep & which ones to pass on to friends. 😊
thank you christy I’m happy with your video you explain very well your organization as well as the products use and nice the tip for the label machine😍😍
Thank you so much for the craft room organization video. I love how organized and clean your room looks. You gave me some great ideas and I appreciate you sharing this information.
Thank you for sharing. I love the alphabetical order idea. I was trying to seperate by seasons etc. and it was not working out so well. This is very helpful !
I store my mini lawn fawn set exactly like you do. I tried using the small pockets but I like all my pockets to be the same time. When labeling I put the name of the stamp set on line 1 and the company on line 2. Always enjoy your videos.
