Great hair video. Great camera work. But I like best the messy version, with waves. That guy is more approachable. The slicker guy is more camera-ready.
I've cut my own hair all my life to save money and, I've always gone with basic buzz cut variations, but over the last year I've been experimenting with actually styling my hair. I regularly wear a beard and I'm drawn to the side/rear fade, longer on top and slicked back look, or parted on some occasions. I got the fade part down okay, but I'm struggling with blending the shorter hair up where it meets the longer hair on top, so that those shorter hairs don't stand straight up when I slick my hair back. They poke out, because they are too short to lay down and it's pretty annoying. You have any tips or is there a video in your archives that covers how a DIYer like myself can achieve this? Thanks!
LoneWolf Survival all you can do really is let the sides grow. You’ll go through a weird phase like that where it’s growing and it sticks up. Just tough it out. Also try using a heavy clay on the sides of your hair and “slick” the sides back. It should stay down.
@@Nattymatty7, thanks man. I've seen some of these guys with the high skin-#1 fade that blends perfectly into the long top, without the dreaded undercut (not a big fan), which is what I was shooting for. Maybe not fading it up so high will make it easier and look better. Thanks again!
