For equations, I'd either take a screen shot cutout of those I find online or from the PDF version of the textbook and then import the image into the notes. It's more time-consuming, but it guarantees neatness. Out of all the parts in your notes, you want your equations to be super neat.

I love Goodnotes. I handwrite all my assignments (Maths student) and export as images since exporting as a PDF is too big (even after compressing) for my Uni's upload system. I then import to Word and save as PDF. There is an option to export without the background paper template. I use the GN5 grid template and export it to blank paper. As you say, everything is so neat, even my tutors have commented on my neat handwriting!

I've been using Goodnotes for quite a while now. I've since got my file size down by using the ball point pen, disabling text recognition and turning off the background when I export as PDF. I hope that helps others in the future!

What I didn't like about GoodNotes 5 is that it has no infinite canvas nor compatibility with Windows PC. I use it for research notes and I enjoy an unlimited page size since there is always additional information to add...

Drag the colour you want on top, so either A on top of B or B on top of A. There’s no layers as such, except the order you choose.

I have been watching videos like this while I wait for my iPad to be delivered. I'm just curious how you find the matte screen protector/paper feel screen on your iPad? There are those who've had issues with it saying that it ruined their apple pens and that they had to replace the tips more frequently. I've also read some comments saying that their pens are still okay. Should I stick to a glass screen or buy paperlike since I will be writing a lot?

if you’re going to be doing a lot of writing, i think the paper like screen protector is definitely a game changer. my tip is fine and i’ve been using my ipad for almost a year now; if yours are damaged i tjink the paper like protector is worth changing your tip a couple of times
