12:44 ( Communication, Presentation, Education) I DID mean to thoroughly cover the PRESENTATION aspect of my business, upon uploading I recognize I didn’t get into it. I will get VERY specific with my presentation and how it’s helped my business in Part 2! Thank you for watching!

I appreciate your video and will subscribe also. I must say, I do like the idea of the steering wheel cover, floor paper mats, and the thank you stuff. Good touch. Very professional. Can you put links to all that stuff?

Just wondering whats the population is your town?

Thank you for your comment! I am operating in 3 towns, Sebastian (25k) Vero Beach (16k) and Melbourne (85k) Oddly, I rarely get business in Melbourne anymore, which is something I aim to change in 2024. I work 65% of the time in Vero, and the remainder in Sebastian or other small nearby areas.

I'm intrigued. I started detailing to make RU-vid videos and now going to pursue working on client's vehicles. It's nice to get this kind of insight!

I'm.just up the road from you in Melbourne. Man those Facebook groups are rough. Anyone that posts they need a detailer there's like 75 responses from detailers. It's brutal sometimes.

You are 100% right it can be brutal! Our area has a LOT of guys, it feels endless! As you’ve seen, a lot of the comments are clients promoting their favorite detailers through word of mouth. Then, you have the detailers promoting their own business as well. Usually I don’t aim to use these types of posts to gain clients, although it has worked a few times. I usually get the clientele by posting as my business within the group, this eliminates half the issue as it’s unlikely any other business is going to promote themselves on your post. I try to emphasize that YES a lot of my group posts don’t “pop” with engagement, but remaining consistent with posting has gotten me leads on the few posts that HAVE popped. The key then is to do great work for these leads & clients so they build your reputation FOR you, you know? I greatly appreciate your comment and feedback!!

I'm trying to start my detailing business as well and just like you i want everything before i actually start doing it. These information you giving out are really helpful to a beginner like me and i thank you for that. I just a question, you touched the topic about facebook groups, what kind of groups should i be looking into to post my business?

Absolutely!! Thank you for your comment! I live on the East Coast of Florida, around areas like Melbourne, Vero Beach, Palm Bay, and Sebastian. Each one of these areas has 1-2 facebook groups filled will a couple thousand people. One of my most useful FB groups is called “Vero Beach Neighborhood”. This group is very active and is regulated by admins to prevent spam. This is the type of group I would recommend. I ended up joining a total of 6 of these types of groups when I first started. I would post in each of these groups 1-2 times per week (some groups limit you to 1 business post per week). As I mention in my videos, try to make sure you’re not copy/pasting your posts. Make them all unique if possible 😇

Okay good to know. I live in Florida too, broward county around Fort Lauderdale. It's so hard to get a client since most of them think that I'm charging them too much. I don't have a portfolio yet so they don't have an idea how I work. I'm thinking I might have to do some discounted or free work for friends and family in exchange of feedback/reviews and get those money shots of before and after photos/videos at the same time. I'm looking forward to your video of how to do the business cards, thank you cars etc. Keep the grind!
