How I train my dog for busy days at the disc golf course 

I use positive reinforcement training. Before I got Luna, I watched a lot of different RU-vid channels, but focused on @zakgeorge. I read his books and then shaped my training around Luna's personality. She seriously adds her own creative flair to a lot of this, so I encourage her ideas when they fit the activity. @@lunadiscgolfdog thanks for that. Can I ask, in one vid I saw you use 'close' and you are the only person who has demonstrated that despite my best searching. How did you teach it?

@@maharencall3219 I do heel training all the time. At least 4 days a week at home as reinforcement. Over time, I started rewarding her for not going too far. Then I worked in the command. It took time, but this is a great trick. I use it when we hike a lot or when there are people on the disc golf course and I don't want to disturb anybody. It's not easy. I'm sure there are different ways teach it depending on the dog. Luna is highly perceptive, so she makes me look better at this than I am haha.
