Is a sub 12 ironamn possible in 19 months training ?? Currently: I can train 4-6 days per week. Swim needs work Bike is OK Run is slow (but can finish a marathon in around 4.45. If I built now (generally) is it possible to get in shape to finish a fill IM sub 12 hours ?? In 19 months, August 2025???

Yes for sure! 👍 Time depending on the course a lot and if you have a triathlon bike (or clip on bars since roadbike is at least 15-20min slower) Consistent training weekly around 8-10hrs with a key session that pushes you in each sport weekly, peak volume maybe 12-14 with long ride and you're good to go 🙏

Nice explaining! You mentioned in one of your vids you prefer all your shoes to have a similar drop. I was under the impression that you should change the drop to change the input/load. That way your strength builds up more resilient. Can you explain?

So lower drop aka 4mm loads calves more right vs. Nike which sits around 8-9mm. You're right in a sense that you could argue that a lower drop gives a new stimulus and loads calves more aka strenghens, but I rather strengthen by running consistent volume + quality sessions and very important: build calf strength in gym, that's the true game changer in my opinion. 👋
