Listening was always my biggest enemy during my English journey, but that was because I didn't take the initiative to listen to a podcast, watch TV shows and movies, or consume whatever content in English. I just did the listening exercises on Duolingo (huge mistake). Since I listen to English content (with and without subtitles) every single day, I started to understand what the speakers were saying gradually. My recommendation is to begin to listen to content about English learning because English teachers (native or not) put more attention and emphasis on their pronunciation, which makes the experience more understandable and enjoyable (at least for me). Eventually, you'll be able to listen to podcasts, or watch RU-vid videos about any topic with more confidence because you'll recognize the basis of English speech. Nothing else to say, thank you, guys!
Thank you for your tips 🙏, At the beginning I were just reading some vocabulary books with many difficulties because the pronunciation is not easy for beginners. I will try to do what you are saying.
@@louresabra9923 The phrase "He never bothered to show up" means that a person did not attend or appear at a scheduled event, meeting, or appointment. It implies that the person did not make any effort or did not care enough to attend or inform others of their absence. It can be considered as rude or disrespectful behavior, particularly if the absence caused inconvenience or disappointment to others.
I remember that some time ago I couldn't understand even 40% of the podcast, especially understand Eaten which is a nasal speaker (he speaks most of the time with his nose), but now I understand clearly more than 80% whatever episode. Thank guys! You helped a lot!
One more wonderful lesson!! It's amazing hearing Thiago's English. His pronouciation and confidence to speak inspire us to keep learning and improve our speaking skill. I hope I'm able to reach it one day too!! ❤️
I think one of the most diffucult things for me, are the slangs and the phrasal verbs. If you can make some videos about that, I will be very greatful. 😊
Amazing! Everyone who want to improve their listening skill should watch this video. Instead of wasting your time trying methods that actually don't work just follow the advices provided in this lesson. On thing I realised during my learning process is that the more I learned about alternative prononciations the easier it was to understand the natives speaker. And I can say you guys help me a lot with this essential skill. A tone of applause!
Tiago i was born on a farm called prazeres! I started studying english when i was.thirty years old in 1996! I can talk to you in english very well! Because i understand almost everything you say!
It would be great an episode about Thiago's job working as a customer service representative, I'm studying trying to improve my spoken English to get a job as a customer service representative, and I know there are a lot of people like me trying to get a job in latinamerica just using English like a customer service, logistics, tourism, etc. thank you guys.
I really appreciate the day I discovered this channel. In the past, it was incredibly difficult for me to grasp this language, but now most people think that I grew up or studied with the native English speakers while on the contrary I've never enjoyed such privilege. Most students are finding it difficult to learn this language, but I'm pretty sure that they can improve if they can come across this channel.
It's just soooooooo amazing the i've improved my english with you guys. The best english channel to get fluency and become a confident english learner and speaker. i wonder there is a way to get the reallife app on a pc but i know you guys will fix that soon. thanks for all.
i think that learning can be compared with such idioms as blood, sweat and tears or no pain or no gain because it takes much time to learn English from the scratch . Your videos speak to me so much because of its well structured planning and conducting a video lesson. I suppose that your channel gives me a great opportunity of practicing listening skills and as well as vocabulary ones. I've been learning English for 6 years and i'm still trying to learn it deliberately.
I always listened to this podcast and I never thought Thiago was young, I thought he was old 😅 just because of the voice, I appreciate all the things you do, I'm still learning and you with your podcasts help me a lot, bless to all team ✌🏻

Thanks you for great study video! Before that, I didn't realize I have to find out the patterns in sentences. So, now I'm going to try to be a bit more interested in the patterns, not just listening passively. And it also made me surprised that Tiago has practiced listening long years. I think I don't need to be in a hurry, just keep going steadily!
I am studying English now, but I think listening practice is going well I hope that I will continue to listen hard and improve my English Thank you for this kind of broadcast

It is a fact for us, to understand to English natives. Due to my job I'm touch with people from Serbia, India, Poland, Germany and US. It is not too complicated the communication with no native speakers. With people from US I understand very clear some of them but I do not with others due to his accent. I decided to view movies, to take courses, to takes notes about new words or expressions in English. Guys this channel is fantastic. It has been very useful for me, really. I appreciate your job and effort for us, people that is learning another language day a day. Saludos desde México!

I think I can survive when the zombies invade the world because I have many talents to keep myself alive. I learned these skills during a school camp when I was 16, and now that I'm 20, I can still remember them. The skills I mentioned earlier include using any kind of stick to attack or defend yourself from enemies and building a shelter using any kind of material you find etc. And I think the most important thing to keep your brain alive because if you don't your brain alive, you get depressed and lose your motivation to alive and finally you would die alone...
That's true, it's a little easier to understand Tiago instead of the other guy. The only difference in appreciation. It's due that Thiago, speaks a little slow o slower.

I am a prep student right now in university. I am an indermatiade level, and I really want to improve my English because my deparment's education language is 100% English. I started to watch FRIENDS with English subtitles .The first I note the words that I don't know their means, after I memorized I watch without substitles. Also, I started to watch your Learn English with TV Series channel. I take notes while watching. I am in a little bit trouble actually because my mind is a litle bit confused. I've seen many ways to improve your listening skill, speaking skill, and all of them say different methods. When I find something new method, I wanna try this because I think this can be work this time. I try to study regularly because I really want to do this in a right way. So I started to watch your podcast videos today, and I hope these videos will be helpful for me. These have substitles,so it is so much easier for me to follow what you said in the video. Also I will try to continue to watch this podcast and videos from the other channel. I hope I can do it .

Hello guys, thank you very much for this lesson, I hope to continue learning English with you, I am writing from Peru but I was born in Venezuela, if I am honest, I used the English translator 25% of the time, so I also used Captain Jack's phrase Sparrow, the problem is not a problem, the problem is my attitude towards the problem, so I am here with my best attitude to learn English with you, I really appreciate the time you take and your willingness to help all of us.
Nice saying or thought .the problem is not a problem the problem is my attitude towards the problem certainly that sounds beautiful l liked it when l heard it thanks for sharing knowledge
Hi, thanks for the video. Inspiring as always ❤ I'm Ukrainian and I'd love to say a few words about the name you mentioned in the video, "Nazarii". Here, the second syllable is stressed. Love every single video of yours 😊 Keep it up 👍
Hi, Ethan and Thiago! I'm very excited because my listening and reading so improve with your videos. I'm brazilian guy and my dream is to travel for US, CA and other other countries with english language. Thanks for help us to improve. God blessed and thank so much.
There are just two things to focus on in order to understand 100 % of what's been said by native english speakers: focus on listening to a bunch of stuff in English and be aware of connected speech AKA linking words. That's it!! That's what I did with both english and japanese. But japanese I just focused on listening since there is no such a thing as connected speech in it.
Understanding a native speaker, speaking fast is difficult even for foreigners who have lived in the US for a long time. I know people who speak without an accent, speak very well and, in some situations, do not understand the English spoken on the streets.
"Go off on a tangent" existe in Spanish, it's Salirse por la tangente, when someone wants to change conversation's topic, as he doesn't want to answer too much about it, to prevent I don't know, any clue and to be found out about something
