In my experience, these data-only prepaid esim had 10-50 times higher latency than with the same network/testing server using a regular local sim card. Apparently, to provide lower rates, these esims work thru some tricky roaming loopholes but not without downsides 😮. Also: be aware, if you wanna use it a second sim, unless you select the same network for both sim cards, it will drain your battery life 😮.

Good timing as I’m heading to 2 new countries next week but I think I’ll just stick with roaming. This looks complicated. Plus 1gb for $6.25 USD? Not very cheap.

Yeah I understand prices are high but that's in Qatar. For Portugal, I got 10GB for 17 bucks.

It may be that the old provider has blocked it or no services are offered on the SIM card. What then?? Other provider?

Hey, When you remove the e sim, does it automatically go back to your Original data plan like Tesco mobile for example. Because at the moment when the e sim is turned off it says no sim.

IT needs a SIM either way, whether physical or digital

I have a question…when you get the qrcode in your email, how do you use the code or scan the code if you only have the phone and not another device to scan from. ?
@sergiosala
@sergiosala Год назад
I used my computer to scan it. But I also recently realized that you can 3d touch the code with your phone and it can give you the link

@@sergiosala This video is very helpful - thank you! I am about to travel for 2 months to Africa and two months to the Balkans and want to add Google Fi on my iPhone 13 Pro. Why would I use Airalo and not just use Google Fi to keep it simple? Can I use these services for Google Maps, WhatsApp video calls, etc? Thank you, Roy

So can I still keep my Verizon wireless phone number for phone calls and texts while abroad and also use data with a local SIM card in Thailand? That’s my biggest concern, I want to keep my US phone number still while abroad.
@sergiosala
@sergiosala Год назад
If your Verizon has eSIM of course you can keep both! that's what I do with Google Fi
@DonRashad

@@sergiosala So you can still send and receive calls and texts from your regular American number? And when you need data to access internet, you just use the SIM card for the country you’re in?

Will this work if I bought my iPhone through AT&T or have to but directly from Apple? Reason I ask because when I tried to install a SIM card in Thailand. The iPhone was prompted with a error message saying not compatible.

@@sergiosala it’s a smart choice. A small ding there and now won’t render it qualified for total replacement. It loses it value when you decided to sell them in few years time. I would suggest you protect your iPhone 14. If it is stolen or lost, the AppleCare you paid are worth in gold. It’s just my 2 cents worth of opinion. Keep your videos coming. Cheers.
