FIX at 1:41 - you can change pad octaves by going to group while in midi mode and selecting a different group which changes the octave. that should allign to c3 or c1 whatever you need -

Good video brother. 99% of tutorial videos online get too long to the point and explain too much. I had to fast forward in some areas but one comment would be keeping the topic on top of the video screen all the time so when the viewer fast forwards and goes to the next topic he or she can quickly notice the change in topic. 512 samples is far to omuch for playing instruments. Keep it at 128 for much better RTL. It looks like the knobs can be midi mapped which is sweet. How well do the transport knobs work? Thanks!

just chiming on in .....but does anyone know why for love of money i do not have mk3 script....in native instruments i have maschine mk2 but not maschine mk3. live 9 in template support files has maschine mk3 legacy, but not mk3....can anyone unravel this or drop some information that might help to demystifying ....

Is there anyway of use maschine screen for ableton audio effects? And if you have native instrument ultimate komplete the audio effects would be a better option to use with a maschine instead of ableton ones?

Like Maschine, Ableton has 8 selectable 8x8 banks for one-shots in the drum rack. If you want, all you have to do is hit pad bank C on your Maschine and your synched with Ableton's default pad bank right out of the box. It's nice to have the ability to change midi assignments in the editor though.

Since you are not using maschine or NI plugins, why didn’t you just get Push 2?

In my case, when using midi-mode, the group buttons are blue and you can skip through the octaves I think group c correspondes to c1

I have Ableton 11. When I copy the Maschine mk3 and Native instrument folders for the remote script for Ableton, it does not show in the preferences under control surfaces. Is this an Ableton Live 11 problem? anyone else have the same issue?

MAN!!! Dude!!! I've been trying to figure this out for the past year since I purchased the Maschine mk2. The Maschine 2 software is Very nice, you can't beat those expansion pack, but Ableton Live 11 just has a few more features that I like to use for sample based producing. Great vid, thank you! How do you work with drum racks that have more than that 1 pad set you created? For example, the Plastik Kit has 4 sets of pad pages and I don't see any way to navigate that the way I can with my Push 2. I've tried adding more pad pages in the NI Control Editor template but I'm finding that sometimes when I assign a value that I'm seeing in an empty drum rack in ableton to the maschine, it plays a completely different pad even though the pad assignment looks perfect. Like C3 triggers E2, C#3 triggers F2... this happens for 1 or 2 rows of pads in every page I've created.

Thank you for all the hard work and confusion you've been through to make this work. Using Maschine as a controller for Ableton is now much less scary than it was. Your warning about overthink (trimming samples, not sweating about latency that isn't even there) is brilliant. I'm still a bit fearful of altering settings and screwing everything up but that's me being nervous. Just a tiny tip from the UK🤩. The V sign is easily mis interpreted. Where I come from, the gesture you made is like giving me the finger in your culture🤭

Hey great video I learned a lot. So I have the Komplete Kontrol S49 and the Komplete Kontrol 12 Ultimate. I have a brand new Maschine MK 3 not yet used. Is it difficult to hook it up to my Ableton Live 10? And will all of the content from the S49 i.e Komplete Kontrol 12 be imported into the Maschine? Since the content is already in the S49? Lastly under Ableton’s preferences what will the control surface show a Maschine MK3 to click on on the drop box? Please explain and thanks in advance.
