Thank you to G Mos for an absolutely fantastic request to show I how I actually use my NISB. I enjoyed this soooo much! I specifically chose II John because, to be honest, I'm not all that familiar with it. Sure, I've read it a number of times, but it has never really impressed me, isn't one of my favorite books (Philippians, James, Isaiah, Proverbs, Psalms), and I couldn't have even told you what it was about -- although I know enough about the Apostle John to have guessed that it had something to do with LOVE. I wanted to show you how I use this on a book that would be relatively fresh to me ... as well as short enough to do in just a few videos.
So this is a 3-part series. I hope you'll get your own Bible out and study along with me -- whether you have this wonderful inductive study Bible or not. Please also consider sharing in the comments the things that the Holy Spirit points out to you as you study along. You have different things going on your life than I do, so He may highlight different areas or give you different insights.
For a much longer study (I Peter) using this Bible, go here: • I Peter: Choosing A Bo...
Please understand (this is really important) that I'm not saying truth is relative or that the truth is different for each of us. What I'm saying is that there is sooo much truth in God's Word that none of us has the capacity to highlight all of it at once, and God makes some parts more clear to us or more important to us, depending on where we are at the time and what He wants to show us.
You can see from these articles that there isn't really much agreement as to who the "lady" was, or even if she was a specific lady. Here are a couple articles I found with different views: www.khouse.org... and www.cbeinterna...
You can find my photo album for this video series here: www.facebook.c... Although it's in Facebook, I'm pretty sure that anyone can look at it and that you don't have to have a Facebook account to do so. Please let me know if you have trouble viewing it.
I write transformational fiction and the first book in my Isaiah Cadre series is available free in ebook form! You can get that here: dl.bookfunnel.... along with a free subscription to my newsletter. Sometimes, I even include the second book free in one of my newsletters.
Okay, things that I said I'd include links for ...
The New Inductive Study Bible. There are a few different cover options, so I'll send you to one and you can go from there: amzn.to/2LMjWG0 This link will take you to an imitation leather cover. I don't recommend the hard cover. This is a book you will be writing in -- that's the purpose of this particular study Bible -- and it's hard to write in a hardback book. Likewise, a paperback will not hold up to a lot of writing. If you can't afford the imitation leather, I would personally recommend the paperback as it will be easier to use than the hardback. You'll just have to replace it sooner, probably, and that's not the end of the world, right?
As I said, I don't recommend the pens I was using. They're just what I had immediately available. AND if using something that's not ideal is going to get you studying the Bible, then by all means, use what's less than ideal. But if possible, for the long-term, I recommend using highlighters that are made especially for the thin pages of the Bible and which you'll be able to write on top of. I like these ones: amzn.to/2LILIDq A second option would be good old colored pencils. Here's a nice set of 12, or pick them up and just about any store: amzn.to/2LLdNKy

After doing a search for reviews on this Bible your channel came up. This video is wonderful and you make it easy to understand how to use this Bible. I ordered the Bible and expect it to be delivered within the next day or two. I couldn’t believe that your video was 4 years ago. So happy it showed up for me. I subscribed to your channel and look forward to seeing much more of your Bible studies. Thank you for doing this video. I hope you are still using this incredible Bible.🥰

Thanks so much for this video. I just recently decided to immerse myself in Bible study. I have an old International Inductive Study Bible that I used once for a Thessalonians study....back in the 90’s!! 🤭 So, I’ve been trying to figure out how to use this Bible, develop a key and make it all work. Your video really helped me to pull this all together and get me going. It just makes it even more clear that God draws us closer to him and nothing happens by accident. Thanks again for your help and insight!!!😘

Even though I found this video 4 years after you posted it, I am so glad I found it (them). I just got the Ne Inductive Study Bible and am also having a difficult time starting it. I’ve found numerous reviews for this Bible, but your videos are the only ones I found that actually help you go through it. Thank you so much, this was very helpful.

I'm so glad you found this helpful! We are actually going to be doing an inductive Bible study of the book of II John, using elements from this video, but adding application assignments to it, as well as group discussion, starting next week. The study will be here on RU-vid (on our ministry channel) and we will have live discussions on Zoom on Sunday evenings. We'd love to have you join us! Here are the details: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-p_HAtfC-5eI.html

Thank you. I have this bible. I like it. I can’t find why some of the verses numbers are in bold…do you know? Thanks so much! Blessings 💕
@alyce-kayruckelshaus1224
@alyce-kayruckelshaus1224 2 года назад
That's a great question! Yes, I do know. Those are the suggested paragraphs. You probably know that the Bible wasn't written with chapters, verses, or paragraphs. Chapters and verses were added much later to make it easier for us to read and to reference a particular place. Those ARE very helpful, but in remembering that they weren't there originally, understand that there aren't actual breaks in the flow between chapters especially. So, to your question. We find it easier to read in paragraphs so the editors or translators of this version put verse numbers in bold to suggest the beginning of a paragraph. Again, that can be helpful, but remember that it's artificial -- which is why they didn't make a huge deal of it. They want to add that helpful tool without creating an artificial break. So here's another cool feature of the NASB. Do you know why some words are italicized?

Do they make one in KJV?
@alyce-kayruckelshaus1224
@alyce-kayruckelshaus1224 4 года назад
Unfortunately, no. They make it in NASB (New American Standard Bible) and ESV (English Standard Version). My personal preference is NASB, but both are very scholarly translations and good for study. Here's one of them with a very pretty cover: amzn.to/2QiUWYk You can get it in hardback, paperback, and imitation leather. I would strongly recommend the imitation leather. It's hard to open a hardback so that it will lie flat enough to write in. And a paperback isn't sturdy enough for all the wear this Bible will get if you use it as it's meant to be used. This is an excellent study Bible. I've used several of this same Bible over the years. I hope that helps. Feel free to let me know if you have other questions.

@@Llllbbb.123 That's wonderful! I am a strong proponent of using many different Bibles. When translating, it's not possible to translate exactly, and translators have to choose which nuance they're going to go with. When you use a lot of different Bibles you get a better collection of those nuances. And with study Bibles you get wisdom from a lot of different sources. Just remember that of course the study notes and that kind of information are not inspired. But they're very helpful.

@@Llllbbb.123 That's so cool! Lots of neat projects Have you used your embroidery machine? My husband bought me a sewing machine with computerized embroidery when we got married. I use it as a sewing machine but I have not yet used the embroidery aspect. I think you know that he died almost 3 years ago. I feel like it would really honor him if I used that But whenever I read the instruction book I get overwhelmed lol. I have all kinds of ideas for using it. I borrowed a friend's serger once and could never figure it out.

Yes I recall you mentioning your husband’s passing. I thought it was more recently though. ❤️ Regarding the embroidery portion there are hundreds of RU-vid videos out there and fb has groups and maybe ask for a mentor or take an embroidery class at a fabric store. Always beginner classes. The most important parameters to learn are: 1. What stabilizer for what fabric 2. Whether to layer stabilizer for thickness. 3. How many stitches per the desired pattern chosen. Each fabric has a certain stabilizer that can hold up to a specific number of stitches. Ie. Thick cotton many stitch count designs bs. VS stretchy knit able to handle low stitch count designs. Expensive embroidery threads, lots of types of stabilizers and lots of pts rice and studying. Start with cotton and get familiar with that. But before all that learn how to pick designs from your own machines designs storage. If your machine doesn’t have any than I would take a class or watch videos on your model for sure. Get a stabilizer wheel which indicates what stabilizer for what fabric. It will be an expensive hobby but so beautiful.

I can totally imagine using this for covers for my journals Bill died in July 2019 It still feels like it was recent but I think I'm getting a little better It was very sudden and traumatic because he was killed in a car accident.
