I know my biggest hurdle to trying lash extensions was the question of "How am I going to wash my face???!!". After years of trying different products and methods this is what works for me. I've been doing it for so long (8 years now!) that I sometimes forget this isn't a normal routine. Usually I don't have to reapply a lash segment with Lilac St's pro glue but with Lashify I did have to touch up a couple times during the week so I'm glad I got to demonstrate how I do it. Also I've been loving the Tao cleaning brush but I only use it once a day so I don't over exfoliate my skin.

Thanks for your video. I really appreciate you sharing what you've learned. I saw a tiktok (or reel?) of a woman cleaning her lashes with the foaming lash shampoo and a brush (like the one Lilac st sells with the spoolie on the other end) and then dipping the brush in water and rinsing off the shampoo. I've only tried it once as I normally wash my face in the shower. But I thought I'd share just in case you found it helpful. So far, I can only get my lashes to last 4 days. I also find it difficult not to get too much glue on my lashes. But I love the lilac st stuff more than Lashify for the most part. I do use their tweezers with the wandoms to fuse and the glass is nice.
@angiecraftschannel
@angiecraftschannel Год назад
Thanks! I’ve seen that cleaning kit but im lazy and rather not add an extra step in my routine. 😜 My suggestions for longevity issues would be to make sure your lashes and clean and don’t skip the primer/lash conditioner. Also if you think the glue is getting clumpy only apply the glue to the base of your lashes vs applying it to the whole length like mascara. I have short lashes so I apply it to the whole length but if yours are long it probably too much and you really only need the lilac st lashes to adhere to the base. Also don’t forget to “fuse” after each cleaning. When was using the Lashify glue I had to fuse before and after washing my face to get them to stay. Hope this helps.
@hoodieninja70
@hoodieninja70 Год назад
I have short lashes, too. I put lashes on this morning and just used the tip of the glue wand to put it on my lashes. Hopefully that helps. Yes, I always fuse. I fuse as I go, plus at the end. And I use the primer. So far my fav lashes are Brazil. They came in the 12 days of Lashmas, but I wrote Lilac St and they said they will be selling them in Feb. I have a sub, so my next order will be all those. Lol In the meantime, my second fav is French Lace. I also like Volume and the Originals.

All of your Lilac St videos were so helpful that I finally decided to order from Lilac St and my first eyelash application I think I added one of them too close to my water line so I removed them after 2 days then I cleaned them and reapplied them and they lasted 10 days!! I followed your recommendations and I have to say they were so helpful. Thank you so much. I wish you had a playlist that wash just for the DIY lashes only to make it easier to watch all of them. Thank you so much for all you do. ❤

Mahalo nui for all the info you share - super appreciate it. I will have to try this. I noticed the last couple times, my lashes started collecting “gunk” at the lash line. (Sorry - tmgi? [too much gross info?]). I think it’s like foundation or shadow that needs to be cleaned off. Hoping your cleaning method will work.

I love your videos on lilac st.,you are the best! I've been using them for a month. Do you not curl your natural lashes before applying your clusters? If not, why? Honestly want to know. I feel like everytime that I have applied my lilac Street lashes one side always looks different from the other and also something totally off-topic but I find that my lashes after applying the pro glue all the way through my natural ones and then applying the crystal coat that my eyelashes look crunchy almost like spider legs if that makes any sense
@angiecraftschannel
@angiecraftschannel Год назад
Thanks so much!! I only don’t use the lash curler before because my natural lashes are so short plus once you wet your lashes again it will go back to its “uncurled” position. If your lashes are longer though I can totally see why it may be easier if they’re curled up for the initial application. If you can see the black glue through the lilac lashes maybe you shouldn’t brush the glue through the whole length of your lashes. You really only need a good amount of glue on the base of you natural lashes. This is just my guess because mines are really short so I don’t really have a problem with excess glue showing through. I hope this helps! ❤️

Hello, where did you get your small acrylic container?
@angiecraftschannel
@angiecraftschannel Месяц назад
I actually now recommend using a covered glass container to clean your lashes. It’s so much better because the acrylic slowly start to dissolve with the alcohol and with the covered container the alcohol doesn’t evaporate. The one I’m currently using are these 4oz baby food containers that I had from my kids. Sorry did you mean the wand that I use to press my lashes together?? If so, I bought that one from Lashify. It’s called their “Fuse wand”. It’s pricey but it really is the best to press the lashes together everyday.

Where do you get the little containers that you hold your extensions in while cleaning them?
@angiecraftschannel
@angiecraftschannel 11 месяцев назад
I was using a plastic stackable travel cosmetics cube but to be honest I found something way better. Ideally you want a small glass container with a cover. I’m using a Wean Green 4oz baby food container(from amazon) just because I had that in my house but any small glass jar with a lid would work fine. You could even use a shot glass and cover it with plastic wrap if you want. I find that I can keep it in this alcohol solution all week and not have to keep roping off the alcohol as it evaporates the glue is a lot easier to get off. Sometimes I would forget to top off the alcohol in the jar and if it dried down the glue would get hard again. Hope this helps!

Totally! I would just not put it around my eyes. I use Vaseline every so often and I just out a thin layer and try not to get it on the lashes.

I washed my face in the shower being very gentle. Not touching my lashes. But an hour after my shower my lashes fell off. I’m assuming because of the hot steam?
@angiecraftschannel
@angiecraftschannel Год назад
hmm I can't imagine just hot steam making them fall off unless it was really hot and for a long period of time... Maybe check your cleansers to see if it contains any oil. Also when you're applying the lashes make sure that you have glue on your natural lashes and on the individual lashes you're putting on. Stacking them that way helps them hold up better when you're washing your face. Also I find that you need to give the glue enough time to cure before getting them wet. I think at least 4 hours if possible. Hope this helps!

Hi! Do you use any skin. Are after washing your face? That’s been an issue for me. The oils in mg skin care causes the lash glue to break down. 😢
@angiecraftschannel
@angiecraftschannel Год назад
Yes I really pile on the skincare at night. I do try to lightly pat in my eye cream under my eye and on the brow bone and try to stay away from applying it in my crease near the lash line. There’s not much you can do about it at night but during the day I make sure to dust on a light layer of bronzer or eye shadow in my crease. For me that really helped “dry out” the area so my skincare and sunscreen wouldn’t affect the glue so much. Doing that extended my lash wearing by 2-3 days! I showed this trick in most of my lash application videos. The most important at thing if you use shadows/bronzer is to tap off the excess. Hope this helps!

I washed my face last night and they fell off in the shower. Reapplied it last night. Slept with it and woke up in the morning and it came off when I washed my face again. :( I have eye crusties in my eye so I do gently wipe my lashes on the edge and also like an upward wipe like I would with a spoolie to get water out of it. And all the lashes fell off again:( I’m not sure what I am doing wrong my eye lashes are still tacky when everything falls off so much so they even start gluing to my upper lids. I dunno what to do..
@angiecraftschannel
@angiecraftschannel Месяц назад
Hmmm the first thing I would check for is if there’s any kind of oil in my face wash, eye cream, moisturizer, spf and really anything that goes on my face. Oil may make it hard for the glue to fully dry. Also using the primer helps prep your lashes for the glue. Also crimping your lashes before and after washing helps. Let me know if that helps!
@kidinheart
@kidinheart Месяц назад
@@angiecraftschannelthank you so much for the tips. But I literally only use water to wash my face and eyes in the morning, I mean unless my facial care that has things like serums and creams overnight are causing the issue… but I apply them no where near my eye. I splashed and washed them this morning with just water, lightly washed the edges of my eyes of morning eye gunk, and used the under towel to pat dry eyes. Was initially hopefully but when I took my face off the towel 2 eyelashes already fell off. I looked in the mirror and 2 more were hanging so I took them all off:( I’m disappointed. I’ve had professional ones done and never had so much issues before. I know it’s not the same but at this point these are just one time use level products:(

I thought the lashes couldn’t get wet. Can you give me information about this? Just curious, but I’m guessing swimming is out. Would you know about this? Sorry, two questions I guess. 1. Is water/shower a no on the lashes? 2. Is swimming a no?
@angiecraftschannel
@angiecraftschannel Год назад
No Lilac St and Lashify are meant to replace lash extensions. They can totally get wet. I wash my face twice a day. Morning in the sink and at night in the shower exactly like I do in the video. I know, I had all these questions too when I first heard about them and lash extensions also that’s why I wanted to share in this video. I do go swimming and to the beach and I have kids so I get splashed in the face often 😂 that’s totally fine. I haven’t tried submerging my face in the water for long periods of time though. If I did want to swim laps or something like that I would definitely wear goggles. I also wear the same set for 7 days straight. By the 9th day they are kind of getting grown out and loose. Hope this answers your questions. Feel free to ask anything else and I’ll try my best to answer.
