i am finally answering this faq in a full video for you guys 💓 these are the things i do and how to maintain, wash, store, and refresh my capsule closet / wardrobe. i try to balance good habits with ease of maintenance, and what works for me may not for you, but i hope you find this helpful if you're looking to get a little more or better wear on your nice clothes.

A tip for extending time in between washes is to hang your clothing item in the bathroom as your shower. The steam kills a lot of bacteria and odours. Perfect for pieces you don't want to wash too often, like jeans or outwear! 😊

Great video Annie! It’s always interesting to hear how often others will wear their clothing before washing. The most shocking thing I heard as a mother was not washing children’s lunch bags, backpacks and winter coats. It had never crossed my mind not to wash them.

Great tips. I hang dry a lot of my items and it works out for me. They also don't get very wrinkled.

Try using dish soap for oil stains. It works well and is gentle on the clothes. We use seventh generation free and clear dish soap.

I wear jeans several times before washing, as well. They don't need to be washed as often.

Hey!!🫰🏼💖thanks for posting adulting info…things you learned or learn as you go, I also use various sizes of laundry mesh bags for delicates, for sweaters, undies…etc.. hand wash bras sometimes. Hugs & Rest, later!,🥰☺️💜

oh my gosh yes i feel like mesh laundry bags are very adulting haha. this is gonna sound soooo silly but what do they do? i don't have snagging issues but i assume there's another purpose!

@@hiannieem I think it's meant to keep them from getting knocked around, stretched out, caught on other things, etc. during the spin cycle. But... I use them because it makes putting laundry away easier 🤦🏻‍♀️ And so that I always get all my socks back from the wash!
