This was actually super interesting to hear about. As someone who gained initial popularity from short form content, I can say that it's so much easier to do and grow from. Almost feels like a cheat code lmao. But making GD tiktok content is super interesting to me, and the fact you have nailed it to a clear formula is insane. As you say, short form content is the future of social media, as unfortunate as that may be, and you're well ahead of the game my man. Amazing video!

Glad to see you back here making full videos. Tik Tok algorithm is great for blowing up but from the stuff you showed that you posted, there's no way that could be fulfilling to keep doing. Love your long form content even if algorithms don't as much :)

Oh yeah absolutely. TikTok gives you high view counts which can be addictive in the moment but there's only so much view counts can do. You have no influence as a Tiktoker and in the grand scheme of things, followers mean nothing, and why would they? Why would my followers care about me at all after watching a few 15 second GD replays? I should've probably mentioned all of this in the video lmao

@@Flaaroni Yeah it's nothing compared to building up a dedicated fan base around something you're skilled at and spend a lot of time on the quality of. Really just for promotion at the end of the day for the vast majority of people.

I generally despise short form content even though virtually everyone I know is addicted to it. It seems as though viewers and often even creators don't get much from it, yet they try so hard to. I'd guess that this low enjoyment / high time spent is good for getting people addicted, therefore generating more ad revenue, but I can only be speaking for others.

I really hated this video until you admitted you hated your own content. I genuinely think short-form content encapsulates everything wrong with social media so while I still didn't enjoy the video for the most part at least you know that I guess
