Very informative channel one thing I wanted to ask please tell do recommendation letters need to be specific or general. I mean if you are applying for any program in specific school should letter mention the name of program and school? Because its always a difficult job to get recommendation letter every time for each program or university

It all depends on the admissions requirements. If you read through the requirements for each program you are interested in it should give you an idea.. I won’t say yes or no. The right answer is based on the program’s requirements so I will direct you to read that carefully

Okay thank you for the feedback. But until then, 1. Try engaging in Volunteering activities here and there, engage in social impact activities even if you are not the main character just take part, if you can do some internships that will be great, if you are the University try joining some clubs and societies at least just one… Try and be an active member of your department student group With these you can put in your CV and help you stand out. These days Results alone does not make the difference your social impact does and make you stand out. I hope this helps…

Waaaw this question is really coming up… Every department has a section known as Faculty. Faculty means Lecturers or Professors in that department. They have the catalogue of all the details of all professors in the department in that section. In the US or abroad, professors emails are public so you will find their emails on the website on that Faculty section. I hope this helps… You will also find their research interest and current research. This helps you identify Professors who share similar interests as you.. This helps when you reaching out to them

MPH is not very open students across the board but you want to be strategic in selecting a program so that you don’t spend the whole cycle applying to a program which you might not very competitive.. remember it is a whole host of applicant pool so you want to make application very competitive
Hello. I think that it requires money to somehow be compatible among other people like giving money to write motivation letter and so on. It is hard because this is my 3rd time that I got rejected so now I am thinking maybe I should hire someone but unfortunately I don’t have money so that’s the point from where it comes. Maybe someone could give me here right directions cuz I am tired, but am going to try this year again if not happens will study masters in my country.
Hi Sarah, Sorry to hear about your situation. Yes this process can be a bit frustrating and never straightforward. Have tried to assess what issues might be on your own, to identify what in your view is not making you competitive in the specific schools? Are you overly concentrating on some specific high ranked schools and thus not making you go through so to say? Have you tried to get feedback from some schools and did they share anything with you? That notwithstanding I would say that this Journey plays out differently to different people. Others have it smooth others take other turn before getting here but in all one thing stands out Self Improvement. I think you could spend the time of unfortunate denial to further improve yourself regardless of location. Either to take free online to improve your acceptability in your area of study or take some research course to improve your research which could make you stand out or even pursue your masters and later use the PhD route to come to the US. All these work. I hope that you find happiness. Don’t despair or loose Hope. It may take time but Dreams never die, Keep Pursuing

Cold emails sometimes backfire, sir. I tired emailing some grad coordinators and they replied by copy pasting website information. I just wanted to confirm that the info on the website was accurate but they just referred me back to the website. How best do I approach this? I'm interested in the MA in Political Science at Ohio University
Thank you for reaching out. First asking them the same information found on the website can be a little worrisome. Remember they are dealing with a number of prospective students like yourself, so for example you want to try and ask of issues that are not clear or seek exemptions.
The administrators are normally trained to guide you so in case you have any difficulties they will send you links to the areas on websites you cannot easily find
Again unless it is stated expressly that finding a supervisor is mandatory before applying there may be no need cold mailing professors .. those you want keep in contact with us the Program coordinators and graduate advisors
