Super proud of you man! I cannot believe how quickly you have gotten tot his point. Just a side note, I really like this format. I like that you just went and played the tournament and didn't worry about filming. I feel like that was really beneficial for you. Having the practice round footage to watch as you explain each hole is nice so we can get an idea of what the fairway looked like.
Congratulations on the first of many. It's been a fun trip watching your game grow from avid newb to seriously pushing Simon using his own discs on one of his own local courses. Keep the faith!
Congratulations on your first MPO win. I appreciate you documenting this journey for us and look forward to more content in the future. Be sure to take the time away from the channel when needed. As far as guests, bring anyone on the channel you want and as often as you feel comfortable. Rounds with friends are always a good experience. It is the reason most of us got into disc in the first place. Good luck with your future tournaments. You got this.
Congratulations! You've been working really hard and deserve the win! You should do more videos with Jordan, he seems to bring out some good golf from you...
You're a super solid player. Will be so much fun watching you on the pro tour. Can't believe I"m saying that, but you're totally way good enough. Being that you haven't been playing a super long time you're kind of an underdog and I love rooting for the underdog. I"m a fan, lets go bro.
Huge Congrats Anthony! Crushing it buddy. Through the highs and lows, you are doing great work with keep pushing on. It's paying off and you're inspiring thousands. Cheers brother.
One thing about expectations, when you are the highest rated player by 10-15 points but the field is 20, you aren't expected to win, the field has a much higher probability of victory. You probably at best have a 10-20% chance of winning as while you have a 3-4 stroke better handicap, there are only 36 holes and it's likely shooting your rating won't win the tournament. Talked to some MA-1 players recently who were disappointed in a similar situation and explained to them that being top rated is an advantage, but nowhere near even a 50% chance of victory with a large field especially in a one day event.
Mach 3's are the worst. I'm so happy that they finally changed the baskets at IDGC on Steady Ed. So many dead center puts on these baskets that either bounce out off the pole or weirdly shoot all the way through the chains to spit out the back. Congrats on your win, bro!
Ahh this was the tourney I saw you at!! Was on my cx500 and got bummed I couldn't play with my friends there that day haha. Was too nervous to wish you good luck but apparently you didn't need it!! I'm still not close to your skill level but maybe someday I'll get there! You're an inspiration!
Lets gooooo brother!!! Such an amazing recap, you made it feel as if i was right there with you! I played that course once a few months ago. Its definitely a fun course!❤❤❤
I respect that you pushed yourself past just making videos and played to win.. 🎉 Way to go bro I also have a win .. and I'm fed up with all the disc golf RU-vidrs... There all fake just play the red boxes on film and or just launch disc in a open field...
Really enjoyed the round review! First started to be a big fan of yours with the MA1 tourney recaps you did, always looking forward to content like this
Congratulations on the win, Big Ant! (I'll only call you this once #Konner) Was that a Parachuting Duck trophy? Keep up the good work man. I hope to be watching you on DGN battling on lead card soon.
I won once.. 2017 Fulton Ice Bowl ! (1st Place Am Doubles, and he carried me). lol 54 yo Vet here, in MO. Cool Channel!! my pdga# is 125267.. not impressive, but I can Smash some Discs, and I also have a Nice Collection!
Oh God what Joe did to our boi Alex down here in the Springs for King was rude. Joe is actually what urban legends are made of. Calling him a shark isn't even close. His game is perfect. I'll be honest I don't think you'll beat him until his age says so lol. Edit: Congrats on the big win though, that is huge, come down to the Springs next season and take Joe on during Clash or King!
honestly I kinda don't have a collection, it's like 10 discs. I just end up putting them in mystery boxes since I don't need a ton!! I do have a good amount of discs to review and field work backups tho! Maybe after next year that will be more interesting since I'll hopefully have a few sig series discs, but that's if a company wants me lol
I've really grown to love you as a RU-vidr and a disc golfer. What you have accomplished in such a short time is absolutely incredible. Keep going dude!! It's really cool to watch.
such a personal thing I think! It felt right to do it over an offseason, but if you feel like you could cash at some local events, you could always try. good news is you can always move up and down and there are plenty of guys here locally who play both MA1 and MPO when tourneys have am and pro days that are different!
Ofc everyone that you're friends with that plays decent or better should be in several videos to spice it up (those videos will be easier to make into 2 videos per 18 holes than you being alone having to show extra throws your not really all that happy with). Make them make you look bad ;)
First of all congratulations it was fun to watch and listen to your 1st win. I'm a minister and Words have so much power and if you control that it will help you mentally a lot. God Bless you.
