Great tips! Consistency and engagement are definitely key. I’ve just started my own channel, and I’m excited to apply these strategies. Thanks for the motivation!
@@factnumber_one Got it! Thanks for the suggestion about SEO. I’m also using Google Ads to help promote my channel. It’s a mix that I hope will pay off!😄
No, it's not. I'm just coming from Reddit, where we discussed small channel struggles. All of us reported the same RU-vid behavior: RU-vid stops promoting new videos after the first couple of hours regardless of video performance. It gives you several hundred impressions and then a flat-line. All this cr.p about thumbnails, descriptions, niches, etc., is not important for new channels.
@@CatchyTales I completely understand. RU-vid seems to push new videos for a couple of hours, and then it flatlines, regardless of performance. I’ve been spending a bit on Google Ads too, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference in the long run. It’s frustrating when you put effort into thumbnails, descriptions, and niches, and they don’t seem to help early on. Hopefully, with consistency and some experimentation, things will improve over time.
Being a RU-vidr is very similar to running your own business. You should upload things people want to see, just like businessman should offer product/service that people need. And when the growth becomes real, you can consider hiring people to help you run your channel more efficiently. The most difficult part is starting and growing of course, but consistency and hard work (with a little bit of help from Fame- ster of course) will always pay off at the end.
We’ve been a channel for 3 weeks and we are 8 subscribers away from our 1k milestone! We have learned and applied a lot of your advice to help us grow! Keep up the good work and THANK YOU!
Just got monetized on 9/19! It took us 6 months and about 100 videos published. We have about 25 affiliate companies we work with and a few thousand in affiliate revenue. We wouldn't have gotten here without Marcus. He is hands down the best info out there to help us small channels grow!! THANKS AGAIN MAN!! OUR BIG DREAM IS FINALLY BECOMING A REALITY!

Thank you Marcus. Your videos helped numerous small RU-vid creators. I have watched almost all of your videos. I am watching your videos. I am working hard :)
Great video, very informative and I love how you explained everything. I am doing the same and my channel has simply exploded. I just use some third party tools which provide real likes and views (the best one to use is a bit of Fame- ster). It's like the easy way to ramp up your social media presence, and you don't have to wait for a period of time to get popular or something like that.
Grateful for my 146 awesome subscribers! 🥰🙌 Your support keeps me going every day. Tough times come and go, but I’m here to stay, growing and improving for all of us. Let’s keep the journey going! 💪💫 Great video as always mate 🎉🎉
Most of your videos have been helpful for me but tbh it’s so stressful when I put so much work into my videos and they still get low views , still I’m grateful for the small growth💕
Thanks Marcus Jones, your advices changed my life as a content creator. Now I'm growing super fast and dreaming big.And to all those people's who subscribed to me,"I LOVE YOU ALL" 🙏
Marcus, love your videos and I wish I had found you earlier in my RU-vid journey. I would love to see your advise specifically on a how to cooking channel, My channel is on Outdoor cooking (BBQ) channel and find that a lot of rules that might apply to other niches dont transfer very well, or am I wrong....challenge extended
I have always wanted to make RU-vid, but the dream never became a reality due to lack of support. Now I'm 22, and I’ve started. I'm at 35 subs and not giving up. I hope you all reach the top. I support you, don't let anyone tell you otherwise!
"sign up to velio" doesn't say that Velio is $35 USD per month You really should be forthright about things like this. If this was an ad, you should tell us. (hint: by law, you must disclose if you've been paid, have received anything for plugging a product, or would receive something for plugging a product like for example, if you're using an affiliate link)
He's not an affiliate. He literally made the site. He directly states it in the video. So yes, this video is an ad for the site, but he blatantly states it lmao
Not that legal action would really happen unless this was extremely serious. I've seen RU-vidrs do these shenanigans and get away with it. Marcus is fine, I still don't recommend breaking the law of course.
@@Mrbluefire95 Even if it's your own brand, you still need to disclose it as an ad, according to ASA guidelines. And yes, I know that very few RU-vidrs do this, but if a person gets caught not disclosing that their video is an ad, then the ASA can get their channel banned for life. I think we can all agree that we don't want to see that happen, which is why I commented.
Thanks for the nice content ❤ The person who is reading this, don't give up on your channel. Keep it going and u will get there. I myself created my Art Channel 5 weeks ago and working so hard on it. ❤
Post a short daily at least and eventually you will see 1 sub per video. About where I am right now. Started two weeks ago. Hang in there! Also research more vids like these!
I also thought a great hook for an education video might be the following: "Did you ever want to do THIS? Here is how to do it..." OR "Have you ever seen THIS and wondered how it's even possible?"
@@Marcus-Jones No worries man, I'm still a new channel and it's been going pretty well! I'm struggling a little now for RU-vid to push my content out there but hopefully it will up again 🙏🏽
@@MiahMunch (I'm tysondagod on main account) I have learned how to edit but I have no money, no friends to help me in my videos and the algorithm hates me so this video promising me success and charging me 3 minutes later makes my mad.
Great videos, following your tips I managed to hit 2700 subs by end of month 2 and over 200k views! Can you recommend any existing videos that deal with more serial (episodical) content? Or any videos that explain how I can continue to grow my channel now that I have 1000+ subs? Or how can I use youtube analytics to pinpoint what I'm doing well, what I'm doing poorly?
Hey marcus, i live the so called FIFO life in western Australia. Currently working 8/6 roster but wanting to get out and finally start my passion. Would you still recommend your 90day course and could i still do it while working away from home?
sometimes I find it hard to tell a story on a lets play gaming video with Thumbnail and title. The title more specifically. I guess im just not good with words sometimes. And sometimes colour contrast especially when video game characters and backgrounds. I hope im making sense of this.
Marcus, how can I grow my channel? I am a crafter, and on my channel, you mostly just see my hands, so I'm really having a hard time, and I want my videos to be different from others who do the same thing
I have always used end screens and I choose that video .. but you do know that many watchers hate end screens and they have made software to block end screnes??? Talking so fast is so off putting to me . I hate being shouted at but hey there are millions of RU-vidrs each year try to get monitised and fall away. So it's a popular choice for a category anc not really a niche
Marcus My channel as a message saying my Google account has been cancelled I worked so hard and I stopped posting so I tried to not give up because I can help a lot of viewers but I'm not sure how to fix the error I know chances are you don't see this because you have a lot of comments
Honestly, your sub count and view count is no bueno. We have here almost 5 hour long videos with more than couple of million views on each and subs are measured in half a million. AND people are watching those long videos more than once. That's tuzemsovet if you wondering. What's his secret? Well researched and you walking away with new information / new perspective each time, it is basically rewarding to watch.
what if you have adhd and you've changed your channel niche like a million times? Do you need to just ditch your channel and start a new one with a more refined channel? This is what most gurus never really answer. Because I feel like I have subscribers from 10 different niches lol
Unless you have several thousands of subs, I think you can still keep your main. You’ll lose several subscribers, but overtime you’ll find the right people. It’s really just a matter of finding a niche with good supply/demand and sticking to it long term. Make sure you love what you’re doing or else you’ll just end up back in step 1
