This is how a traditional wedding in the Eastern part of Nigeria is done, specifically the ibo culture among the ibo people. After the bride price is paid, the bride goes to show the audience, friends and family her husband by going in search of him with a cup of wine in her hand.
When she finally finds him she hands the cup of wine to him indicating her husband, the husband receives the cup of wine after drinking he put some money into the cup to show that he's happy and pleased with the wife, then they go to their parents for marital blessing.
