I haven't forgotten mine. I never will. His name was Leo (like the constellation "Leo the Lion), a little lion cub with a BIG kind heart and also acted like a human. I would go to the fridge and pick out a 'some meat' just for him while I ate cereal, ice cream, or pizza (literally any food I could eat at the time). I would do everything with him... until my 6th birthday... I was feeling MUCH older and I looked at Leo but saw him fading away. Before he COMPLETELY faded away he said, " Goodbye, my good friend. Grow up to be a beautiful lady for me will ya?" Then I never saw him again... until he came back a few days ago. Since I am an only child I'm so happy to have him back.

Normal lonely kids have one imaginary friend. I was so weird I literally had 8 imaginary friends. 16 if you count their pets.

My imaginary friend was an alien named Space. He appeared when I was 5 and stuck until about age 8. His back story.... as a small child Space and his brother Spaco crash landed on earth in separate locations. I found space and provided him with a home and companionship while he worked on trying to go back. He had three forms. An alien, a full-sized human boy, and could possess my hand and therefore come with me anywhere. I miss him.

I had an imaginary friend. Her name was Rosie. The one time I do remember doing with her was LITERALLY OPENING MY FRONT DOOR BECAUSE I WAS PRETENDING THAT SHE WAS GOING TO HAVE A SLEEPOVER!!!!! Lol!!! When my mom asked me what I was doing I just said that 'Rosie just got here to have a sleepover, so I'm letting her in.' Then, for some reason, I decided she brought her little sister with her(this was also the first time I had the actual idea of her HAVING a little sister, and I think I got the idea because MY little sister was standing next to me, so I guess I just wanted to let MY LITTLE SISTER have someone to play with also). So then I told my little sister that 'Rosie and her little sister are here' and then she said hello to them also. I can't REALLY remember, but I THINK that I ACTUALLY HUGGED THE *AIR*!!!!! And after that I think that the four of us went into my room and played. That's all that I remember. I haven't forgotten Rosie. If not playing with your imaginary friend anymore counts as forgetting them, then I have forgotten her in *that way*. If not remembering *ANYTHING*(like anything that you did with them or anything that happened with them) also counts as forgetting them, then I haven't forgotten her *COMPLETELY*. If forgetting what they looked like(if you DID *ACTUALLY* create a look for them) counts as forgetting them, then yes. I can't remember what she looks like. But I *KNOW*(at least, I'm PRETTY SURE) that I won't EVER forget *Rosie* herself. I won't EVER forget that I had an imaginary friend, *Rosie*. I won't EVER forget *my imaginary friend Rosie*!!!❤️

I know it's an old video but in case someone comes here later than me I wanna recommend an amazing book about imaginary friends. It's Memoirs of an Imaginary Friend by Matthew Dicks and I as a person who had few imaginary friends in my life and even an imaginary 🐕, I really loved it. It is funny and sad, easy to read, it has a great story, great characters, especially the main one - Budo, a really special and brave imaginary friend. :)

I had an imaginary friend, her name was Ghost Girl. She had a pink bow on her head and was plain white. She wasn't like a human, she was like those things from pacman (which is strange because I was born after the 2000 so it wasn't really popular. That literally the only way i can explain her. I remember being on the bus with nobody to sit by and ghost girl was just flying out the window, when it was recess l would push the swings as if ghost girl was on it. I wonder how strange I looked from the teacher's point of view. She never really visited me at home it was just a school thing. But I remember she made me happy and she's gone now. As much as I try to imagine her she doesn't pop up, it's like I never really imagened her, almost as if she came on her own. But I'm not going to get more cheesy than I already am. My imaginary friends are not that imaginary cuz they're stuffed toys with imaginary personalities. They're a yellow teddy bear with a half pink half blue tummy ears and feet, a joker kawaii cube, a minecraft ocelot named nectar, and a minecraft mooshroom named mushu and a snake neck pillow named sniffles. I did. His name was Vincent. I was aware of him being imagined. I can't describe, how he looked, because he was just... he just was, no appearance, just shape of male human, nothing more. Also he was for me like, um... when you have this kind of comics wirh askers, then Vincent was for me like an asker. Just is there, but I can't see him. I remember how I was sad and then I just imagined him saying "Don't worry" and everything was a little better. One time I got lost in the shop. I was running around to find my mom. i usually pretend there's a person I know in the room, talk to them, and fabricate responses in my head based on what I know about the person. When my mom was little she had camels that lived behind her ears that she would talk to.

As someone who began writing rather young (around the age of six; for reference, I'm currently 21), I've had hundreds of imaginary characters who felt slightly real. (Like the current thirty or so running around in my brain, who are like my children) But as far as standard imaginary friends, I only had one, when I was around seven. He was a shadow-like thing with a fox's tail. He was super friendly, and wanted to do all the things my older brother didn't want to do.

My imaginary friend as a little kid was named Lilli. She's kind of hard to explain, given the fact that she was a person I knew but a different version of them. Sometimes she was a nicer, more fun and inviting version of one of my older sisters. Other times she was my alter ego/ weird twin that even within that character Lilli would have a varying personality sometimes acting goth or exactly like me at the time a happy little child. I was aware she was imaginary but sometimes I would blame ridiculous things I did on her just because I was a little kid. My mom says she doesn't remember Lilli but I will always remember her.

I think I either did, or I had a strong belief in God. My parents tell me that when they were pregnant with my younger sister, I would come running up to them and say: "Oh, my sister is going to have blue eyes!" (Which she does) I even have a distinct memory of going into the hallway in front of my bedroom and seeing a face saying: "Be nice to your sister. She will need you, just as you will need her." I was four at the time.

I also make characters to satisfy intrusive thoughts in productive and safe ways (drawing) as well as developing communication, rationalization, strategizing, and overall social skills.

Imaginary friends is a weird subject for me. When I was little, i always thought hat I had to do this one thing because that's what I thought every other little girl did or had, whether media or experience made me think that I don't remember. I do the remember though that I kinda forced myself to have imaginary friends, or pretended I did. I knew they weren't real imaginary friends, but rather my mind acting like they were. Has anyone else done this?

I am the oldest and a female. My mom nor I recall me having an imaginary friend like Bing Bong but I did treat all of my toys as if they were alive and was always super immersed in the time I played with them. I thought I would hurt their feelings and I would always play by myself with them. Id have Barbies, Bratz (mostly bratz), cars, stuffed animals, little soldiers, toy phones.

I still remember my imaginary friend... His name was Jax. I always pretended he was my older brother... He was kind of a presence too, but he had a voice, and I know he had silver hair and yellow eyes. He was very comforting, and I think the main reason I remember him is because even though I haven't been able to "see" him in a while, I always hear his voice in my head when my anxiety is bad.

I technically still have an imaginary friend, it happens to be a wolf, she doesn't speak but she does communicate with howls she is pretty damn sarcastic and often jokes about trying to kill me... yeah... what is my mind..

I honestly don't think I had imaginary friends. I would play with imagination like fight against invisible pirates or play cops and robbers with imaginary cops/robbers, but I never really had a friend that was imaginary. I would always play with my cousins or my babysitter's kids who were my age and I also have an older brother, so I guess I never really needed imaginary friends.

I'm 13, and I had an imaginary friend, as I'm the youngest of 3, but the youngest by 8 and 10 years. I couldn't describe him if I tried, like Ben, but I know he was a boy. I had my imaginary friend from 3-8 or 9, as I'm a very shy child and I needed him for support to talk to people. My literal only memory is starting kindergarden and holding hands with him all day and talking to him under my breath. My kindergarden teacher hated me, so he helped me through that. We also used to run around my backyard imagining conversations. Does anyone have any idea why it seems our imaginary friends are the opposite gender? It looks like a theme judging by the comments and Ben's example.

I did. Ironically it was the boogeyman. He looked a little like beetlejuice and would show up when i was hiding or if i was feeling lonely.
