In India you literally have to pay more for a graphics than someone living in America would pay, and that too considering the high difference in Purchasing power parity it's absolutely ridiculous that you need over 60k+ for a graphics card which is about what 2 months of salary for someone who just got hired in India which should be around mid 40's. This is why mobile games such as pubg got mainstreamed in India because literally everyone can afford to buy a smartphone here, same goes for Valorant too, anyone can play it with a 1650 and low end Ryzen CPU.

Being a guy who has been watching non-indian gamers from childhood, I generally play games like Assassin's creed, Alan Wake, Control, Hitman, Dying light, Dishonered and many more like that. Most of the people I meet are people who have played either free fire, pubg or valorant ONLY. I never find anyone to have any kind of deep gaming discussions. India really needs to move from these games and explore more.

BBS is one of the only few true gamers in India and THE GOAT of the gaming community. Sadly, majority of his audience (the balaks) didn't support him because he used to play games like Elden Ring. I can proudly say that I was with him for years and always will be. He's a true gamer and he deserves more views and a loyal audience. Baaki ye Techno, Mortal, etc. ye sab ya to PGPs hain ya phir simulation games ko nichodte hain taaki 9 saal ke londe dekhte rhe. BBS made my childhood and I'll always support him. He's the GOAT of Indian gaming community and I don't think I'm being baised at all.

Amazing video essay! Perfectly described what i had felt about the indian gaming scene for quite a while now. The lack of purchasing power, and the neglect shown by the major players in the industry created the perfect storm for the vampiric mobile games industry to yake over. People even if they wanted to, could not play games which are actual works of art in the eyes of the broader gaming community. Hopefully, things will change! I feel the same way about the texh scene in India. Only revolving around smarphones while being completely unaware of the relevations that the industry is going through at the moment. It saddens me to see that too.

As a person whose father is a passionate gamer, this video is really amazing. I remember playing counter strike with my dad and the shenanigans we did with my cousins were really wholesome. I was introduced to pc gaming when i was 7, my dad told me about his fav games like igi 1 and 2, dota , cod, tf2, and age of empirer. I really am glad that i was introduced to gaming through my dad than someone who just screams and plays pubg. Keep up the good work man, we love to see it

I think PUBG brought RURAL on the same page with URBAN gaming culture. I still miss the golden era of GTA, NFS and EA GAMES. Also mobile gaming boomed when TEMPLE RUN, RESPAWNABLES, CoC, CLASH ROYALE and BAD PIGGIES came up. I feel that was a era of niche but cultured gaming community among friends in schools, cousins and local areas.

Yes, i totally agree with this Maine indian community se itna jaldi haar maan liya ki muje bahar k creators ko dekh dekh kr hi achi english bolna aati hai I have watched lots of series such as assasins creed gow etc but the 2 that stuck out were rdr2 and ghost of Tsushima. Real works of art they were, and the creator i watched them from was also a very good presentor, i recentlt found manor lords interesting as well but there is nobody playing these in this community, most people are busy farming views with their cliche games and its actually sad

Btw i m actually a game developer, and the situation of Indian gaming industry really makes me worry about its future. I know everything was just a bit too rapid also due to Indian mindset this has happened, but this can be fixed if gamers don't fight about which game is best and try games from genre also gov is working on it. It will just take time to make a real Indian gaming community.

It is so sad to see Hemant leave his RU-vid channel as He was doing an amazing job with how he presented the game , I myself tried to do that with multiple story games but in the end the audiance for this type of content is just not there and it affects other gamers like us. There are so many games that I would like to have a larger playerbase in India like Apex , Overwatch 2 , Fortnite and Modern Warfare but that is just something that seems impossible. Sure there are games like Valorant that I used to play and love but after a while I feel like it is important to go to other games and experience those too.

Indian Gaming scene has dropped down to become a place where people play one certain game and with a certain group of people who has some audience and eventually they acquire the same audience as well, their is no variety their is no scope of thinking that they will get their audience to watch different games. People get views and subs they are great but quality content is not there, International Streamers play anything and achieve their targets cause the audience is their for the person streaming and not the game! Which clearly stated the lack of personality amogst most of the streamers in India, when a female is streaming audience just goes to watch them for their looks. BBS, RakaZone, Leon Walkthrough and such guys built their own audience with their own personality , they never took the support of an umberalla where 1 person is getting views and others are just sharing it! The community will only grow together when everyone understands that. Or else its just money, showoff ,no real gaming and no community

Bro i have been an avid gaming enthusiasts and a gamer, i have seen indian pc gaming grow from counter strike 1.6 to dota to fifa, many indian players went high to represent india at a global level but nobody cared, firstly news wasnt supportive enough to tell the tales of indian gaming scene, secondly pc and consoles were a niche product not everybody had at that time also the internet. All i can say without them indian gaming community couldn't have started, the spark they started then is now the very foundation we and other so called streamers are now standing.

A lot of "gamers" who stream in India don't even know how to stream, they just have a big facecam, no overlay, boring layout, and dont even READ chat!! I mean, don't stream then right? They'll quickly put a donation goal begging for money but dont really value their audience and it shows so evidently! 101 on how to NOT grow a community LOL! Most importantly, I have not seen a SINGLE gaming streamer who is not insecure about sending their viewers to a new streamer as a 'raid' to help new people in the community! I watch Twitch a lot and I love the mentality of a 'community' there within streamers, they raid small streamers without thinking about what they will get in return from them, Yaha bas ek doosre ko neecha dikhana hai and apni khud ke muh se khud ki hee achayi karni hai LOL. I still dont understand how most of them have constant 1500 watching, be it 2am or 2pm but when they announce "Hi guys I will be streaming on twitch now come join" and when they stream on twitch rigth after that, they get only 8-9 watching LOL What magic is this? Ye YT mei viewbot hota hai kya LOLL I've been streaming ART on Twitch as an Indian streamer and its pretty chill there, people will watch you for your personality and not specifically what you play or do as long as you are interacting. It will take India 9837339 years to get out of the self obsessed streamer mindset IMO where they feel if they promote a fellow streamer they might steal their viewers HAHHA. It's just the truth. Audience is just not interested in anything else. I started my channel as a variety gamer but if I switch from my most viewed contents which was FORZA HORIZON 5, nobody watches it. So I gave up on this channel and even today although I don't have many subscribers the subscriber count is still going down. I hope this changes and people appreciate all games and give an actual review to the youtuber about the games they play rather than just ignoring the channel.

Collecting gems just to buy the 4th builder in Clash of Clans... Upgrading Queens to max level before upgrading the townhall... are some memories of 2016 gaming era!

I agree with you ..I have been gaming for my whole life and have completed around 400+ story games (not lying ..I maintain a diary ). i wanted to do this fulltime but never got any proper support . I love playing story mode games but whenever i am streaming something new the audience will ask for free fire, pubg mobile or minecraft ,after 5 years and no progress i decided to just focus on my job.

Total gaming lost all respects by cheating in chess

Me and my friends didn't have wifi back then. So we used to download 50-80GB games on 3G mobile data. We had to pause and resume the download for several days and then download some crash files to run the game. That whole process was the fun of gaming for us. I personally enjoy horror games like Outlast and Resident Evil more than fps games. Indian gaming influencers should explore other genres as well.

Thats true at the time when unlimited 5G first introduce I am curious about if my phone can handel the highest storage game available in playstore Genshin impact. Now I'm almost playing for 1year, it's graphis, music, too good storyline, different characters their design and with every update new region in map full open world exploration totally awesome experience.

I really appreciate this video. Ever since I finished playing GTA San Andreas as a kid in my shitty pc, I've been a huge fan of gaming as an experience. The emotions that you go through, the fun and excitement, rage ane satisfaction you gain while playing these pc and console games can be very therapeutic, atleast it has been for me. Games like Baldur's Gate 3, Elden Ring, Assassin's Creed, Last of Us, Alan Wake, Witcher are lives that I've lived. Whole experiences. I watch both Radbrad and Luke Stephens and a bunch of other gaming creators. Mai toh bohot khush hu ki someone is shedding light on this. Its not a very important issue but it does matter to me in a weird way haha. Thank you and Good job!

The main fact is peer pressure, cuz imagine all your friends play valorant and you get left out, you try to do it because you want friends, just to be cool you learn a little bad habits. This is a true experience by me, back in 2017 I didn't even know how to turn on wifi and connect to one, some friends of mine stopped playing cricket and football and started playing pubg. I think back then if I would have thought to not go ahead and try phones then I would have been so innocent that I would have hated games too.

well explained brother. the reality is people have become biased with games in india. the two popular biased games are obviously PUBG and FREE FIRE ( which are still present even after continuous bans) is where kids, teens spend their time mindlessly. Hope this situation emerges and people try to understand that their is well known games ( also in mobile categories) that can be played and enjoyed.

As an ex- CS compi player.... i agree with everything you said but yea many of us do not have the money to buy the AAA games which are sold at the cost of 50-150$, I bought gta 5 and forza horizon 5 with my CS earnings and that's it, and I was heartbroken when forsaken did what he did.... it broke our esports community.

You don't need a good PC to play games. I played Elder Scrolls Oblivion, Skyrim, Dark souls 1, 2, Shadow of Mordor, CoD modern warfare, World at War, NFS most wanted on my i3 3rd gen 4gb ram potato pc with 20-30 fps with integrated AMD graphics card. I've modded Skyrim, Oblivion and DS games with 150+ mods. So all you need is Passion and knowledge on how to optimise your PC for gaming with tools and mods.

Recently i have seen a shift of some of the indian content creators towards triple a rated and good indigenously developed games. Example:- Techno playing RE4 remake and Triggered playing some horror games. I have also noticed that the gaming community has now been saturated with the type of games these creators played gradually. Only few kids are still quite obsessed. This makes me feel we have entered the transition phase now. I believe now more and more people will recognize the good/ high end skill based games/ gameplay. I like to support such creators who take these incentives. I have been always a part of international gaming community. But now feels like the time that will change the indian community. Hope everything happens for the best.😁
