Fun fact: in the last chapter of the manga showed that Inosuke's reincarnation became a botanist (plant researcher) that's tired of society and dreams of living in the mountains. So yeah he'd be pretty smart hadn't he grow up in the mountains.

Wind breathing is known for plain offense without any care for defense(one of the reason sanemi is covered in scars), apart from that he says “self taught beast breathing” And yes mist is from wind but it takes an aspect from it which is the speed while beast is just the craziness lol

And again mountain child who is canonically raised by boars after his mom placed him in a river (lol moses reference) being able to communicate fluidly is clear sign of high intelligence. I'll give you this example i have a baby and for the first few months of their life i speak in korean. Then switch purely to english and only slip in korean occasionally, if that baby grows up fully fluent in korean with very little to no interaction with korean, that baby would be considered very smart for essentially reconstructing a language.

He just has communication barriers and issues due to the way he was raised, so he’s not necessarily unintelligent. He just learns differently, and considering the fact that he wasn’t given the same intellectual advantages as all the other demon slayers because he was raised in the mountains, he does learn and grow very fast for the situation he was given.

By the way, remember he said the whole “Kamaboko” squad. He didn’t say in the whole series. Otherwise, It is Shinobou who has the highest IQ in the hashiras. I like the fact that Shinobou and Inosuke have the highest IQ in their groups. Shinobou’s IQ is over 200 in the movie, which means they are trying to say that her IQ may be higher than Albert Einstein himself.. Inosuke was also really strong and assumed that he is strong enough to push the giant rock. People say that he is dumb for his actions and Wild-life behaviour, but he is the smarted in his squad. Otherwise the smartest throughout the whole series and season/seasons is Kagaya.
