Most vloggers visiting China just focus on buildings and cities. But you guys spent some time in checking out the prices in China. Yes, that is the REAL MIRACLE. 1.4B people, low prices and high quality products. Yes, most of these products are high quality. There is nothing "cheap" about them as they are the same factories that supply the world.

China is a open market. You can find walmart, tesco, carrefour, etc... on the other hand, the US is trying to ban tiktok🤣

plus there is no tipping in china. in US, you'll have to pay 'ghost cost' in every bills. and in some places, the tip is 25%. in china, you pay the price of the things you buy, fullstop.

It is important to keep the prices down so that common people can also have a decent living.

For a person who spent 20 yrs in China and 20 years in US, the old saying always right, the best style for working class is always “earn dollar while remote work from China”. Then u are living in heaven. Just too affordable

Chinese snack taste test! Epic. 23:20 滷蛋 stewed egg ,that's my favorite snack to buy whenever I go to a chinese store here in the PH together with the 辣條latiao(spicy bean curd sticks) and 牛轧糖niuzhatang (nougat)😋 好吃!

If you can buy stuff from Taobao when you are back, you will love it! When you find something you like in a store, you can take a picture of it and use Taobao's picture search to find the product. Then, you can compare the prices from different vendors. In Guangzhou, the products you order usually arrive 1-2 days later.

Not only Wal-Mart, but also many supermarkets in China often offer special prices, especially at night when cheaper items appear in the deli section.

A few years back, those big supermarkets would be packed with people. But now many just shop online. Supermarkets deliver to you within 30 min or so. I'm surprised to see that Walmart seems doing ok in GuangZhou. Many of the traditional supermarkets are struggling in Shanghai, if not closed.

Thins are affordable in China because, China does not print incessant amount of fiat currency, to support a highly financialized stocks and shares sector, which is like a giant casino benifitting only the corporate high rollers. Instead china focused more on manufacturing economy, making and selling real tangible stuff to the world like EVs, HSR, toys, household goods, high end and low end electronics, pretty much everything you'd find in a household. That way, wealth growth is controlled, so that the poor can still afford "stuff". Look at U$, you could be earning $100K and still be bankrupted if you have health issues.

In fact, due to the extreme development of e-commerce, many large supermarkets are disappearing in China's first-tier cities.As people shop more online, the rising cost of rent has led to the closure of these supermarkets.

When I was in China I surprisingly loved the cucumber flavored Lay’s potato chips, as well as the ketchup flavored ones too. It tasted nothing like cucumbers or ketchup, it was actually pretty good.

Why veggies in china are cheaper in price?? It's because the government support the farmers. There's a seedling department in every rural areas in china. Why seedling? Whats the connection to veggies? Planting veggies wasn't an easy task,now if there's seedling provided by the government,those seedlings who was already ready to be planted will grow in farmlands once it was transplanted unlike planting seeds and wait for the germination processed of seeds until it grows. Chinese seedling industry was a big factor which is why china have cheaper veggie prices. Also the chinese people follow the 24 solar calendar which helped the chinese people on their planting needs. They will know what fruits or veggies to plant based on the 24 solar calendar term which invented by ancient chinese.

I am shocked how expensive USA and EU have become. BigMac index. Average price of Big Mac in USA is $5.69. In China is an average of $3.47. wow Taiwan it is $2.39 probably because there is better alternatives, like Dim Sum, ramen, bbq pork, Bao, rice dishes, etc. all in USD prices.
