I worked with a Chilean guy in the early 1980s. He had married an American girl, but he was a total dog. He would keep a change of clothes in his car when we went out to bars just in case he didn't go home that night. Then I moved to another company, where there was a guy who was originally from Cuba. He was in a bar near work one night during his lunch break, and his fiance found him in there and threw her engagement ring in his face. She had caught him at it somehow. My general impression of Latino men in the US - dogs. Always looking for the next piece. Needless to say, not ALL men, but still.
Oh gosh I'm Asian I've found a lot of similarities between Chilean and Asian dating cultures! We also value our relationships a lot more than spontaneity and appearances.

At about 28 minutes: "I don't already know you, so no, I don't want to go on an informal coffee date where I could start to get to know you." Stop and think about it. Obviously, she hasn't. I don't mean it as a person criticism - it just makes no sense. I might be a man you'd have a great time with, you might want to get into a regular relationship with me, and you might even want to marry me, but you won't take 30 minutes to start the process? Ladies - all we can to is try. We can't magically guarantee that we are your perfect partners on first meeting. The burden is on us to approach you and ask. After that, the burden is on you to take a chance.
It’s like the Polish lady said the other interview I want us to have equal everything but I want you to make more money than me. I want you to be in charge, but I don’t want you to push up on me. You know, I’m sure there are cultural differences, but for a guy it’s just too much of a field of landmines, so lots don’t make moves anymore. My son says to me that he is always worried about getting in trouble. Had a lot of self criticism evident in these videos. Which would be a non-starter if you were a guy or a woman in terms of making things better
Don’t widely embrace the Anglo model of therapy, Chileans!!! It will fracture your sense of belonging and community and spread selfishness and loneliness.
Also, I would like a slow burner relationship, but in America, everyone is busy, so they can't commit to one activity. Unless it is the gym, and I go to a gym where most are married already, there is no future. I can go to meetups, but who knows when I will see someone, so I need to react fast. I wish I could find that answer. There is always date women? They can relate to eachother I guess...
1- I completely agree with the analysis of dating culture for Chileans 2- I think the generalization about the rich as descendants of the Nazis is very incorrect and misleading. 3- Yes, inequality is a very serious problem in our contry. But that mentality of grouping everyone into classes and denigrating them just because they have money, I find regrettable the genearlization. Especially from someone who is hardly "middle class".
You can find the generalization sad all you want. But it's still true. And you have zero clue her history and where her family came from or what "class" they are. Because from your comment you sound flaite
I am old American and I started to date an Old Iranian because we aren both Christians. It took 3 dates for me to figure out it was a No Go. They were all in. Akward. he put a camera on my front porch! Scarey. I told him I went back with my old boyfriend.
She is cute, but like most of women in his interviews overly self indulgent because she realizes she is cute. These things don’t work unless both the man and the woman have some humility and willingness to take themselves to task for their own faults. Instead of just saying, that’s the way I am live with it. Example, constant references to yelling and so-called fighting for it whatever the fuck that means.
