The wife and I were there from 3rd to 10th October this year. Stayed in Neo Chorio and the weather was amazing. Not a day below 27 Degrees. Took trousers and hoodies in suitcase, didn't wear them once. The whole week was in shorts and t-shirts only. Will be back October 2025. Cant wait. Found my happy place, and hopefully 1 day will move to Crete, but being a UK citizen and thanks to brexit its going to be difficult to achieve.
I can imagine! The fruits and vegetables here are so fresh and tasty! I'm glad you enjoyed this video. Thanks for watching!💙🙏🏻 Where are you watching from?
so takeaway is - first half of september best time to visit, still warm, sea is warm, and a bit less ppl than july/august :).. looking forward to another farmer's market video (try to show more produce and prices, it's always interesting)
Northern Greece is already pretty cold, windy & wet during this time of the year (just unusual dry the last couple of years). We get single digits during the nights and 13-23 during the day. Definetly not a time for beach holidays.
Now towards the end of the month it gets a bit cooler too, bit we still had some nice hot sunny days. On the mainland and other islands is different for sure. Thank you for watching and for the info💙🙏
@Sunpire there is less difference between mainland and islands than people make out. The difference is more mountainous regions and inland greece vs coastal greece. Athens has many microclimates. The coast on athens in the middle of winter can be nice while a short drive away its 6 degrees colder. From what I have seen in climate data rhodes has the most extended summer season.
If you are in Central mainland of Greece or in the north of Greece, it’s colder and they already have heating on for a month now. But the islands are a different story.
@@vask3863 I should have been better informed to realize I was cold when I went swimming. I thought I was warm when I went for a swim at agiokampos. I guess I was wrong and needed you to tell me I was cold.
No, we haven't. The only countries we considered and why we choose Greece are in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-60m_cimxhrM.html 💙🤍🤗
We are really facing climate change. Greece was never that hot, dry and sunny in the whole October! Usually from mid September -mid November it's really wet, rainy, foggy, gloomy, stormy etc. And then starts to get cold with fresh snow in the mountains. Even for November the forecast is really bad. Sun, sun and hot abnormal temperatures for this time of year.
We did hear that this was the hottest year, with the hottest summer and winter, draught, etc. I know for farming this is not good knew. People were really struggling with the lack of water here on the island😌
