Pretty sure Heihachi doesn't survive the encounter in T7. Judging by the trailer, Reina tries to "resurrect" Heihachi via some ritual (hence King of Iron Resurrection). Heihachi also appears younger than his T7 counterpart indicating he has revived but more youthful (much blacker hair than his greys). Seems he was actually brought back to life!

I’m disappointed in Tekken. They bring back Heihachi from the dead. Heihachi Mishima should be truly dead in Tekken 7. I don’t know why they are bringing him back from the dead. I feel like Heihachi shouldn’t survive death in Tekken 7 because it doesn’t make sense if he is still alive in Tekken 8 or any future Tekken games, I would think that it’s okay if Heihachi will be part of Tekken 8 or any future Tekken games but remain dead not alive. He will only be seen with new outift and even new look in past moments before Tekken 8 or any future Tekken games.
