@@Killhut702 heres the thing, I was the boss of this company 2 years ago and left state to fight for custody of my son, I trained my #2 for just this occasion, when I left every machine was running fine, he left 1 year after i did, he put #3 in charge before he left, then when she couldn't figure certain things out the owner came in to run the machine, now I'm back, I won and came home with my son, got this job back and now there's so many different issues, the trimmer, the conveyer itself, a certain 90' angle on that conveyer, 2 of the nipples on the filler do not fill ever, the labeler makes the sticker come off on the barcode and its unprofessional imo, the crater hydraulic pump breaks every month so im told because its fastened by weak aluminum that wears and eventually will break, the crater has a mind of its own, we have 2 owned forklifts down, were renting a third right now, just had a starter put on it after being down a day waiting, we dont use a chiller, we use alot of air, the grinder cant take more then 7 jugs or it will jam, and we get holes like no ones business and I cant figure out why, I'm the one cleaning the fallen parts in case there contaminated then there rinsed and dried and reused but still we get holes and there spotless trimmings. I love this job and I guess I am passionate in its capabilities and its long term survival. We are under staffed too and theres no a/c hooked up, its there but its not connected and we love in a very humid state, 1 fan for probably 60,000sf its madness but I love it and I can handle alot of these issues if not all but the filler nipples, but we never have time to do that stuff so instead we bring 180% to work and were sour and nasty by the end of the day. Sorry man had to let that out

That happens at the filler. Any bottles that hit the ground or are contaminated get thrown out.

@@Killhut702 Thanks man. Don’t suppose you’d know how they do this? writing a life cycle assessment for hdpe bottles so would be good to know what processes to include for decontamination

@@olliep4023 If the the blow mold is contaminated. You would cycle uncontaminated plastic to clear out whatever is contaminated. Any decontaminated plastic gets ground down and sent out for recycling.

To be honest I do not know. The original raw plastic arrives in a truck and is loaded into a silo. I wish I had more answers my friend!
