The 2% is a number that will be taken from elsewhere, and this is problematic in a democracy, as you know. The US already has a huge debt. Peace is most of the time better for the economy. But we now have a slow-running economy, which is why war economic arguments are so loud. Trump's idea of forcing countries to spend more on defense was not because the world was dangerous, but because by keeping the military complexes working around the world, the pressure for new wars would go down. And it did. Trump did calm down all the hot spots around the world, becoming the only US president in a long time who did not start a war. NATO, which was supposed to be just an alliance pact, is now appearing in all fields of everyday situations. This expansion of the spectrum of action of NATO is worrying. Worrying for democracy and worrying for security. NATO needs to be scaled down. Not all countries are worthy of being allies. Countries whose national policies and foreign affairs use a belligerent attitude that endangers the peace and security of the pact as a whole need to be invited out. The three Baltic countries should be invited out in order to keep the UK, Poland, Finland, and even France, less belligerent.
They are already at war with Russia. The ones not willing to a direct confrontation from the begin are now paniking, because they just accepted a passive participation and are being pushed to more commitment. Nato is spliting either way. If the ones presuring now for a negotiation solution gain their momentum the ones willing for full swing will also slit appart. It seems nobody is still ready to make mea culpa. So the escape goat is being put at Trump. Anyways the probability of a second term for Biden is really small, change with a new admnistration, Trump or otherwise is going to bring change. It is clear NATO is paralized mentaly. This paralisation in my oppinion is extremely danger because the battle field is dinamic. Changes need to be intruduced right now.
If NATO accepts Ukraine that will leave Russia with no option but to fight for a complete surrender there will not be much left of the country at that stage, Ukraine should stayed with Minsk
Russia and their nuke threat Putin quote - "continued escalation will lead to their use" Blinken needs to do his job - the boy wonder diplomat He will not talk, push for it, tell me why?
It becomes clear the devisions within NATO are growing doesn't matter wether what. All made their calculations an they come to the conclusion they don't have industrial capacity to keep this going for much longer. The idea that some countries will go futher in supporting Ukraine more than others createas a danger for the ones that already are stressed about the all situation. This is breacking the alliance. On the other side if the pressure to end the war becomes more predominante those more surportive for a military solution may also breack the aliance apart. There is no easy solutions. But member states have to finally realize that a scenario where Russia fully destroys Ukraine is much worse than a negotiated solution. When will realism and rationality win over ideology and emotional commitment? You tell me.
The Point of NATO Is Peace, Not Endless War | Opinion by Viktor Orban, PM of Hungary. "It is worth remembering that the most successful military alliance in world history started as a peace project, and its future success depends on its ability to maintain peace. But today, instead of peace, the agenda is the pursuit of war; instead of defense it is offense"
Orban forgot to mention that if Ukraine were accepted to NATO, there would not be no war. You are citing a Russian agent, because this is what Orban is.
Orban is frontline, small and scared shitless. Orban thinks only he knows Russia. Only he can negotiate peace. He will surrender and join RF if Putin raises his voice at Viktor.
Yes, I just marked your documentary on NATO and the Pacific. It’s actually a report not a documentary, if I’m not mistaken. Love your channel. 👍 Biden 2024. 🇺🇸
I watched the 75th Nato ceremony and it brought me to tears but I am so proud of American President Joe Biden and Jens Stoltenberg is someone to look up to and admire; I wish him well.
Each NATO Member Country spend 2% as a minimum on contributing to NATO fund, or that Nation is to be suspended from NATO until the 2% threshold of spending is met. So simple a rule. No free loader countries active in NATO.

Work with Ukrainian defence forces ? There is hardly any left, they are currently rounding men up off the street to fight and forcing men who have left the county back to fight. NATO will support until the last Ukrainian man and then what ?
Keep dreaming, it's fun to watch the convulsions going on in Russia, as they have now figured out that they are basically a bunch of powerless fools. Russia: "PLEASE, PLEASE, we want peace". Read between the lines dude.
NATO has lost its mandate. The alliance should focus on protecting its member states rather than sponsoring an endless war. Despite claiming to be non-aggressive, NATO has pledged to support the conflict in Ukraine indefinitely and is expanding its military alliances worldwide. This behavior reveals NATO as aggressive and warmongering. Call for peace and negotiation instead of for as long as it takes war narrative.
It is dead on in it's mandate. It was put together to prevent Russia from making the USSR, gen 2, and that is EXACTLY what Russia is doing, You guys started it, q quit whining and just take your licking like real men.
@@nikoschreurs7426 I have and also to over 80 other countries. Maybe you should get out of your basement and see the world, probably can cure your warmongering appetite. The world needs peace not war that is claiming life of young and old for the profit of top 1%.
@@Mr.Clownensky sorry let me rephrase that moscow has lost its war in Afghanistan which resulted in the break up of the soviet union which poopstain is try to rebuild but is failing hard in his little 3 day war
Rus.sia has all the right to defend itself against hos.tile elements just like How the US inva.ded multiple countries to defend itself. If the US can do it, so could Rus.sia. Stop the double standard and hypoc.risy.
NATO's actual leader, the US, in terms of foreign policy, is to be regarded as an imperialist rogue state. The wars and coups the US has initiated or interfered in are countless and millions of civilians have been killed. In almost all cases, it has also involved countries far from American territory that themselves did not threaten the United States in any way. It has simply been about geopolitics and about maintaining US power and influence. France's presence and military operations in a number of African countries "to protect its interests" is another of many examples of how NATO is not only a defense alliance, but also an alliance consisting of imperialist actors.
Imagine if you actually had any handle on reality. What makes you think that could happen in any kind of real scenario. It doesn't even make any sense, on any level.
