Malay Archipelago is okay too but you gotta remember there are Javanese, Sundanese, Dayaks and multiple other ethnicities here. Nusantara is not an etymology based on an ethnic group but a general term in Javanese that means 'islands in between'. Kita serumpun, tak payah gaduh2.

We Indonesian and Malaysian used to be a Hindu Buddhist nation like Thailand and Cambodia but we converted to Islam in 15th-17th Century.
