Iso is an odin agent since it is harder to trade your teamate if the iso is pre-spam-wallbanging head height with said odin whilst having a shield. Vun and odin wallbangs for pressure If you get a shield from trading an enemy you can hold an aggressive off-angle more confidently. Iso on defence is made to get a pick or trade an enemy to get sgield and then holding that angle better than any duelist. With shield you can jump peek safer.
I won't forget how this was when Iso just came out, and I just remembered it makes no sense to buy a Ghost/Undercut instead of 2 Undercuts/Light Armor. The vulnerable makes a classic deadly and I think people forget that (and the Light Armor means you like will win your gun fight)
Yea. Ever since Yoru they were trying to make Duelists have a bit more "team utility" so that's why like Yoru/Neon/Iso have something that can be combo'd and not inherently detrimental to their team (like a Phoenix flash can combo but its really more of a selfish flash).
@@funkycrawler619 Honestly they can just chance yoru into sentinel and chamber as the duelist, cause holy sheet, yoru cant provide much frontloaded but being a support helps the team more because you'd have a yoru casually jumping you out of nowhere while chamber can have his tripwire removed altogether than have his kit reverted back the way it was
Coming back to this after the iso buff it crazy to see how much better he is now and it’ll be interesting to see how pro team uses him. And it’s also cool to see the lore influence the game play cause now instead of a arrogant hot shot we have a skillful strategist
For your Isolo-queuing needs, here are couple other spots where the Contingency wall is good, paired with smokes: Split A Ramps -> Heaven & B Main -> Site Breeze A Main -> Right Site Basically anywhere where you wanna run forward while not worrying about people shooting you from that forward Something really goofy you can also do is pull out your knife to run up "inside" the wall and run backwards with your gun out to clear corners. Fair risk of bumping into someone on the way.

They really should make Undercut do something in addition to the vulnerable. Slow, nearsight, anything! Snake Bite does damage and blocks an area. Alarmbot is a scouting tool and can absorb a few bullets. Gravity Well is a slow and pull. Undercut... goes in a straight line.
I mean undercut it's still pretty good. It's a vulnerable that doesnt require a lineup. But you have to pair it with a sova shock dart, raze nade or even a breach aftershock. The main problem of iso is the "requirement" of a dive duelist on most maps
On his early concept Iso double tap would grant you a shield right after a kill without needing to shoot an orb but devs thought that it would be too much op against trades so they created the orb
@kakorotskywalker i could see a shield automatically appearing after kills being too strong. One extra bullet tanked makes a huge difference in gunfights
but reyna you dont need teamwork. With iso his vulnerables and wall all affect teammates. Not only that, his passive shield makes him more eye catching, whereas reyna dismiss (/w or without ult) makes her less noticeable
Reyna is viable at any elo, just not in coordinated pro play, I hit immortal for 2 days(and A3 for the rest whole act)back in 6, with a 64% Reyna pick rate
You're better off playing someone else man. Don't listen to those donkeys shouting skill issue all the time because they lack the brain to think deeper or think of more creative insults. As what this video shows, most of the time you try to peek first as Iso, you just get headtapped, pretty obvious why.
Awesome video as always. I really do think that Iso's contigency and his turtle are the weak. They're essentially a very thin Harbor cascade with some benefits and the turtle is a worse dismiss since most of the time you will get traded in these games AND it requires extra work unlike Reyna/Chamber. And yeah, the uppercut is good but why use that when Viper literally does the same with extra damage and a whole bunch of other stuff.
Doubletap is... unique and only strong against sniper, that's why it's bad compared to dismiss But I kinda get why valo added iso after watching high level gameplay where everyone mostly died instantly to 1-tap, isn't Iso supposed to be good coz he can't get 1-tapped or got destroyed with Operator
@@bocchi2403nope. Remember for you to not get one tapped as iso, you need a kill ( at the same time hit his orb as a reward, not the most efficient in terms of fast phase fight). The reason iso is bad it is not enabling a kill efficiently compared to other agents of the same role.
@@christianbulasag4721 yeah, currently, imagine if Iso still have the same kit but could get shield upon activation and it blocks 2 instances of damages. Now Operator and Outlaw at round 2 can't oneshot him, do you think it will be broken? I think the problem only lies on the shield activation
I think Iso might be a case of a low elo powerhouse needing to stay weak in pro play because if his kit was stronger to merit consistent use, he'd crush little Timmy's hopes and dreams any time he appeared on screen.
Iso is weird because even in low elo hes not that good. Im only Gold but playing against Iso i just kinda wipe him on any round and playing as him he feels so much weaker than any other Duelist. I don't get why you would ever play him over Reyna
The idea i guess is to be like reyna but less selfish? In exchange for the blind he has a way to help other chip damage agents with the vulnerable, and can set up a wall like harbors to push into places. Other than that no real reason to play him over like, omen or harbor
@@genericname8749 That's actually a better comparison, he's probably more similar to omen than Reyna, and of course there's almost no reason to use him over omen 😂

I know people talk about Iso but the problem is he can't compete with yoru. Yoru can cancel him out so many ways especially on Bind, where you can even get ur ult wasted from yoru clone.
as low elo i dont really care if me or my teammatespick iso. heck, hes my main and my number 1 pookie. but i really would appreaciate a iso buff from riot.. and not just usless viper and cypher nerfs
I don't really wanna be pessimistic about this but the fact that newer agents introduced like Deadlock or Iso being team-oriented and/or forces the niche agent as the "captain" of the synergy and not as self-sustaining as far back as the release of Yoru somehow not using them in pro-play because they're just as bad in terms of their level of coordination makes me wonder if Rito releases agents to fulfill just certain parts of their playerbase.
Honestly if iso's uppercut suppressed enemies it would be alot of better or if his wall triggered traps or disabled them. Idk just throwing out buff ideas
This video is now proving my point that it's not skill issue and Iso is just complete ass because as a duelist, you need to have self-sufficiency since your main job is guns blazing.
Hi teets, I really love the video - as the most of your videos. You really inspire me to go back to valorant and have more interest in esports. The only thing is I feel like your videos are playing at 1.25 speed - it is almost too quick to really understand what you are saying, especially at the start of this video. Of course its just a small thing, and very easily solvable for me to just play it at 0.75. ay bro, I used to love these videos but the dumb memes need to stop. Not trying to be mean or anything, i can tell a lot of work has been put into it, and your vids are genuinely helpful as an analysis tool, but to break the flow of the video every 30 seconds with a meme or your face appearing instead of just keeping it to valorant makes it really hard to watch.
imo the memes are fine to keep up the engagement its just that they're wayyyy more frequent than necessary, it feels like that uncle tryna be hip and cool @@TeetsTV
@@TeetsTV It its working for you, then go for it. We all have preferences, and mine is clearly in the minority. It isn't a major issue, at least not one to stop me watching; the analysis is still top tier, I just find it jarring to be yoinked out of it in this way.
