My mom, my brother and I were at a local shopping center in the 1960s. There was a trailer that was taking a survey for a yet unreleased Pringles. The survey was based on a commercial that was shown, but not on the actual crisp. We got a couple of dollars to take part in the survey, but had to wait until they were being sold in stores to be able to taste them.
meh, i admit Pringles taste good , but they got unreasonable expensive over the past years and also feels like they pack less chips in every new pack..
Fun fact... the name Pringles is a combination of PRoctor & GambLE. Phonetically the & makes an 'n' or 'in' sound. PR&GLE's (possessive) becomes the now famous Pringles

Breaks before opening. In 1956, Proctor and Gamble largest producer of frying oils brought the solution made by Friedrich J Baur, who constructed the saddled shaped tin can to store chips. Due to cases and controversy, they named it as crips rather than conventional chips. When BEETLES were touring America while people were testing drugs and P&G was hunting for new products. New named suggested was Baur's saddle chips. Then as Pringles. Brief Journey After success in American market, expanded to Asian, European and other markets with more than 100 flavours worldwide. In 2008 the creator passed away due to cardiac arrest and was pringles Coffin-ed by his family. Made not of raw potatoes, using mix of 1/3 water, 2/3 of potato flakes [potato as 43%of total contents] along with cornstarch, maltodextrin, diglycerides, salt and wheat starch mixed in with secret ingredients. 4 tonnes of pressure is then applied to make large sheet of the mixture and then given the geometry. 11 seconds are spend in frying then blown to remove excess oils. Then sprinkle of secret ingredients are seasoned on the sides. Then other steps are done to inspect their shape, size and then packed by automation. ->Fun fact 1. When I was much younger I can remember eating some processed chips made by Sealtest and dubbed "Chipos". They came in a box and seems, as I recall' was a predecessor to Pringles. Does anyone remember this?
I love how every time someone makes a video or talks about how pringles are made they always use the same photage from a chip-flix factory... they are not pringles, and they are not the same shape (concave != Saddle). They're not laid on a curved rack, they're pressed in a mould after cutting, their shape is locked in before they touch the oil.
