Two things I wanna mention: 1. The drunk bit in the video was actually Purple being drunk. He'll explain it in his Demoman Extras video. 2. The part where he's shiving people with a bottle. You may notice that on occasion he seems to speed up with a war cry. That's due to the shield he has, which is an actual item in the game called the "Charge N' Targe.' Demoman, similar to the Engineer and his Battle Engie play style, has a second play style called "The Demoknight." In short, you equip boots to help with mobility, a shield, and a melee weapon. You charge in and slaughter people with just a melee weapon.

8:44 No Demo take 80% of the damage of his explosive (Pipe and Sticky) ,while Soldier take 60% of the damage of his own rocket ,this percentage is important because that's also relevant for how many knockback you get when explosive jumping ,on enemy ,Rocket and Sticky both does 100% of damage ,so on enemy ,they give the same knockback ,but on yourself ,a Sticky will allow you to go further than rocket since you take 80% of the damage instead of 60% . but another thing to consider is the damage ramp-up and falloff . A sync (Rocket jump with 2 or more rocket) ,so a Double (2 rocket) will give you 120% if you do it with your own rocket ,but if you do it with an enemy rocket + 1 of your own ,you can do 112.8% (60% + 52.8%) at max falloff ,160% (60% + 100%) and 185% (60% + 125%) at max ramp-up (A triple with 3 of your own rocket do 180%) . 11:33 It's not a liabilities ,because you take damage from sticky ,you gain the abilities to Sticky jump ,which is really great benefit . Some example in these video : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hLQf11syalo.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-a_Borpj3YU0.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-njMUN51mLFA.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GqIApMjnwlQ.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kWkfusyXhTs.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3H5LEyckA2E.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RCDXp48kxdE.html 14:00 Yeah obviously they have splash damage ,it's an explosive . When you hit a direct hit ,it will do a flat 100 no matter the distance between you and the explosion . wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Demoman#Primary Stock (Stock are base weapon ,the non-unlockable) and Loch-n-Load pipe will explode after 2 seconds if no direct hit (If it don't touch anything for the LnL) Iron Bomber will explode after 1.4 seconds Loose Cannon will explode after 1 seconds 15:16 The Sticky Jumper does no damage to you or the enemy ,you would know if you pause the video before talking ,and not talk in the middle of it . 17:02 No there is not limit . (Except in Highlander or specific community servers . 19:30 I mean he was actually drunk when recording this segment .

17:00 No, there is no limit to character stack, you can play 12 engineers and place 12 sentries on one chokepoint, but that tends to not work out well since there's always a weapon or mechanic that exactly counters whatever you're doing (all it takes is an Uber or two to get through all those sentries if you have a good demo/soldier + spy on your team)

There's a whole other side to Demo that Lazy never touched on in this one; he covers it in the behind-the-scenes video. It's a long one though, so prepare to be sitting there a while if you choose to react to it. You'll come away with a whole new understanding of Demoman as a class if you do watch it!

Damage from your own explosives isn't great on it's own, but the important part is you also get the knockback, TF2 is built around blast jumping, the stickies can be your ticket to the other end of the map in short order.

13:56 Grenades dosn't blow up on inpact after 1 bounce. They used to, more then a decade ago. They deal only their splash damage once their detonation timer runs out. 15:01 Deals NO damage, can only have 2 bomb deplyed at once, can't carry flag based objectives. Demo's version of the Rocket Jumper. 16:58 Yes, LazyPurple got themselves drunk for this section. 17:01 Only if the server itself has set limits.

9:47 Actually in this scene in particular, is because the Medic is making the enemy soldier be crit boosted, crits remove damage fall off and makes your weapon do 3 times its normal damage. Yes, Demoman does take damage from his own explosions just like Soldier, but in this clip, Lazy was far away enough from his explosives so he wouldn't take any damage. I also feel like this man would love the Scottish Resistance considering how much he likes the defensive capabilities of the Sticky Bomb Launcher.

Demo has a couple of different primary launchers. His stock launcher has 4 pipes which will detonate on a direct hit. They are not like Junkrat's bombs however in that if they don't hit directly, they will not then explode if someone walks into them after they collide with another object. As soon as they hit part of the environment they go to a timer and will explode after. They will always deal splash damage regardless of how they impact, so you can still rack up plenty of kills by simply blind firing them into a corner of unobservant enemies and waiting for them to detonate. He also has a launcher called The Loch'n Load. It has two barrels, but actually fires 3 rounds (Was changed from its original design which fired 2 shots that fit better with the weapon's appearance but balancing changed it.) It fires its shots at a much higher velocity and removes the tumble on the projectiles making them much more precise when firing. However, the grenades do not tumble and instead detonate on impact with any surface or enemy, and with diminished splash damage radius. It is a weapon designed to take down sentry guns more than another class, but it doesn't see much use these days since it was nerfed to taking 3 shots to kill an upgraded sentry as opposed to the original 2. Lastly, he has the Loose Cannon which is amazing! It holds 4 rounds of cannonball-type projectiles. When you press the primary fire it does not shoot until you release, and the longer you hold down the primary fire, the shorter the fuse on the cannonballs becomes allowing Demoman to time the detonation of the projectile after it leaves the gun. The rounds are also weighty and will knock enemy players back on impact while doing damage to them. The pinnacle use of this weapon is to time the distance between you and the enemy to land a direct projectile that bounces them followed by an immediate explosion that deals double damage to them on a hit. This maneuver is referred to in-game as a "Double-Donk" and is always hilarious. Edit: And oh yes, I forgot to talk about one other launcher. The Iron Bomber. I forgot about it because well, it is not all that different from the stock launcher on the surface, but most people consider it to be a direct upgrade to stock, which is saying A LOT in Team Fortress as most stock weapons are considered to be the optimal choice. The Iron Bomber has four grenades which are round instead of oblong pipes. They are smaller in size, but much more dense. Their shape allows them to travel in a straighter line making it easier to aim, but they do not travel as far and they do not roll as much along the ground. A lot of players prefer the Bomber due to being easier to aim and less rng in the projectile fire. And while I am at it, since Lazy didn't really give much detail at all into demo's weapons I'll give a few more options the class has outside of stock. For his sticky bomb launcher he has two other options. The Quickie-Bomb-Launcher, and The Scottish resistance. These both work in a linear fashion with the stock. The quickie launcher holds two stickies which can be charged to launch further very quickly. It fires much faster, and reloads quick, but has smaller damage output than stock. On the other end The Resistance can spit out up to fourteen stickie bombs before older bombs begin to detonate due to the cap limit, and the stickies can actually destroy other stickie bombs from enemy demos giving an option to be a minesweeper. The Resistance can also set down groups of bombs detonated remotely at will via placing the cursor over them and then selecting to detonate, allowing you to keep several areas trapped at once and not set off all your traps leaving you defenseless. The tradeoff being that the stickies take considerably longer to arm for each shot, meaning you will be vulnerable to anyone rushing you. Lastly Demo has an array of melee weapons including a sword that steals heads and gives the demo more health and speed with each melee kill. A sword that converts ammo packs into health, and even a Caber grenade that explodes on melee impact. His sticky launcher can be replaced with a shield that allows him to charge at enemies and does things such as lowering fire damage taken, or explosions. And you can even fully commit by replacing the primary weapon with a leg attachment that gives additional stats such as increased turning radius, and faster charge rate on shields to become a menacing Demo-Knight that takes on a whole new method of play. He's honestly the only class in game that can truly become its own subclass based on weapon choices.

BTW, I think Lazy Purple had developed a lot of his accuracy with the grenade launcher when he had also been improving with Sniper's head shots with moving targets. And vice versa, as accuracy with pipe bombs also helps develop accuracy with a sniper rifle...And a rocket launcher... You see, some skills make good crossovers into different classes...

I haven't played overwatch in a long time but I can say that even though they're more lethal I prefer dealing with enemy demomen over junkrat simply because, at least when I last played, junkrat's explosives seemed to not merely move me around but also jostle my aim in a weird way that made it extremely difficult to hit anything. Combined with his rate of fire it felt a lot like being stunlocked. Then again I had problems in general in overwatch with aiming and hitboxes that I haven't had in any other game.

Lazy is not wrong about "TF2 Etiquette" being a real thing. There does exist some "unwritten rules" and customs in TF2. A Medic consistently healing a single teammate means they're "pocket'ing" that player and they will receive the uber

Since this series is unfortunately coming to an end soon, i'd like to recommend a few other possible replacement series for it: FishStickonaStick's Bad Weapon Academy series: 28 videos long, this series goes over TF2's absolute worst weapons in an entertaining and informational way. Greatdictator's Team Neighborhood series: 5 videos long, a TF2 animated series and one of the more popular ones as well. This series is a comedic series that covers RED team and BLU Team having to live within a neighborhood with each other. and finally, Soundsmiths "Stereotypes" series: 32 videos long, A series that covers the Hats, Misc cosmetics, and Weapon stereotypes that the community has given, mainly a comedic series but also a good introduction to some of the weirder player types and cosmetics of the game.
